This hotel is about 20 minutes out of Hofn. The property is wonderful. The majestic Mountain Views from your window is amazing. The rooms are large and comfortable. They have a kitchen area to keep food cool and cook if you’re so inclined. Overall very nice place with stunning views
The rooms are lovely laid out and the guesthouse is spacious offering various areas to sit down and spent time together outside the bedrooms. The restaurant is open for a small time frame at dinner and the selection is basic but the guesthouse is offering laundry service which was greatly appreciated through our travels.
Clean and functional guesthouse, ideally located for us as we were joining a snow mobiling tour up on vatnajokull. Fairly close to Hofn as well if you need fuel and supermarkets etc. Amazing views of the glacier. Staff were friendly and helpful (we had an issue with the radiator when we arrived but the lady on reception came straight away to help and offered to get her husband to take a look of it was still not working later). Shower was not the best - the temperature was either boiling or cold and the shower attachment wasn’t very securely held (fell on my head a few times!) however that may just have been our room so a small issue. The guesthouse has a small shared kitchen which we used 1 night - well equipped and quiet so no queuing to make dinner. There were lots of communal dining and living room spaces also which were very nice. We did eat 1 night at the guesthouse restaurant. Food was really nice (amazing fries!) and came out quickly. For 2 meals and 2 drinks, it was around £50 GBP which isn’t too bad for Iceland.…
Stopped here for a soup lunch. One plate of soup, no refill, one cup of coffee and one (1) scoop ice-cream...3.350Kr = 24€ per person. We felt ripped off here. Had several soup lunches in Iceland for 2.000 and 2.200 Kr who came with a second and even a third serving (at Geysir)! Hospitality was low too.
An overnight stay at Brunnhóll á Mýrum. We had booked a family room, but since they were renovating, we were offered 2 double rooms so we should not live close to where the work was being done. It was fine and there was no noise. Room ok. We ate dinner in the restaurant, where we also tasted the farm's own ice cream. Simple breakfast.
Lovely guest hotel with exceptional service. The tools were clean, spacious and comfortable. There were several community areas to gather including a children’s area. Loved the floor heating and the pebbles on the floor. The ice cream is very delicious! I recommend the amaretto. The breakfast was good and had eggs and bacon! That was a first in 11 days! There is a working farm on the the property. It looks as though they are in the process of updating the property but almost done. Very nice! I would highly recommend Brunnholl and the ice cream.
Located along Hwy 1, if you blink your eyes yo may miss the entrance. We only stopped for ice cream. The servers, maybe the owner, was very pleasant. The sitting area was nicely decorated. Only 6 flavor to chose from BUT mine was delicious. Location is next to a farm house.

We stayed here for two nights and the rooms were comfortable. We thoroughly liked the kids play area that they have and is well stocked with lots of options to play with. It kept our kids busy for two entire days without wanting to exit the hotel. They also had an outdoor trampoline, sandpit with toys and mini golf. There were multiple cosy corners with books to read, board games to play and couches to relax on. There was also a common kitchen and shared refrigerator, which was helpful since the options in dinner were limited. Though the stovetop was just one, so we had to wait for others to complete the cooking, clean utensils. The WiFi was good. We got parking very close to our rooms that made it easy for us to get luggages in and out. There was a spacious lift that made to and fro easy.. The breakfast was paid but had great variety and was yummy. The owner was not very warm and raised issues while refilling milk for the free coffee that they provide. Apart from that, it was super comfortable stay.…
Very pleasant for a night’s stay. Large room with a very comfortable bed and a beautiful view of the mountains and glacier. The lamb at dinner was tasty, as was the goulash soup. Breakfast costs extra but was worth it, good variety and quality.
