Pleasant stay here, downside is there isn't a lift or atm machine, a little too far out from Kilkenny town, €50 in a taxi! So unless you are prepared to drive bring plenty of money! B&B fantastic value for money, staff friendly and helpful, food great

Travelling back from Cork turned into Mullinavat due to others online reviews for here and we were not disappointed. Big well decorated restaurant for size of town and food was excellent. Not far from Motorway. Do yourself a favour and make the turn.

We were recommended to stay here and we were very glad we were. It is a lovely pub and we ate here in the evening. The food was amazing, I mean, really amazing! The service was good as well. We all really liked it. The pub had a fabulous atmosphere and it was lovely to be in. Our bedroom was... More

Broad menu and the carvery lunch special, €11, is a good deal given its size and your location. The Sticky Toffee pudding was a highlight of my eating there as dinner didn't live up to expectations from lunch. Rooms are spacious, the bath was a real treat, and with a little tweaking needed to sort wifi in room and tv... More

We visit this restaurant on a regular basis. Never let down the food is good. Highly recommend seafood chowder pie or the peppered steak. Don't eat too much the day your going as the portions great. Staff are friendly and very efficient.

Stayed here overnight. Very large comfortable room with four single beds for us. Great value for money. €33 each including full Irish breakfast. On the Tuesday night we arrived, there was a lovely fire, and a traditional music session happening. We were even invited to sing! It would make a terrific conference or work shop venue. Loads of rooms, free... More

We only stayed for one night in Mullinavat, but even if we arrived late, we had a very lovely welcome, a huge and comfortable room, and a good breakfast. On tuesdays you will find the local musicians playing and singing irish folk music in the restaurant. A must see for everyone who wants to get in contact with the irish... More

Ate Sunday lunch here but will not return. The food quality was poor and choices were very limited, while prices were high. Very bland food and unfriendly staff. No one greets you on entering, in fact, you are ignored. I had to ask several locals how to order food and was directed to another seating area. I finally found a... More

Stayed here along with my husband for three nights recently and I have to say we throughly enjoyed our stay here. I recently had the pleasure of dining in the restaurant of the rising sun. Myself & 4 others stopped on Our way from Dublin to waterford. The rising sun is so handy because it is literally 2 minutes off the motor way. The restaurant was fairly busy on arrival but we had no problem being seated. The food was lovely... More
