With a view of the sea, AC room, quiet beach, kitchenette, easy access to a small supermarket, walking distance to good tavernas, this was perfect for a short break. It's simple, clean, accessible, lovely views. We'll be back.
Good sized rooms with kitchen facilities and private balcony overlooking the beach. Go to sleep with sound of the surf. The beach is rocky so shoes are recommended. We took breakfast which was only €6 per person and was very good value. There are many Tavernas close by for dinner if required. The (sandy) beach at Frankocostello (3 kms away) is reputed to be one of the best beaches in Crete. Great hiking trails nearby.
Great location on the southern coast of Crete. On a very rocky beach (bring water shoes.) We stayed here because we were hiking the Imbros Gorge which is only 15 mins away by car. Not too much in the area but a few tavernas and a few other palces to stay. There is a handy mini super market across the street. The price was inexpensive and it was right no the beach, although very basic.
Clean ,nice rooms with a little kitchen with pots pans dishes boiler everything you need. The view from the balcony was excellent. And the balcony's are all Private . The beach is just 20 meters from you're balcony . I would suggest to visit 2 more great beaches nearby. Frangokastello beach , and Orthiamos beach wich i consider one of the best in crete. If you go at Ortiamos beach go fully equipped because its a not organized Beach. But its worth it!!!! Take water umbrella, towels, sandwiches
We went here in September last year after a recommendation from my brother. I chose it because the studios are large, well equipped (including AC), spotlessly clean and face the sea and setting sun. We watched amazing sunsets and moonlight over the sea from our balcony. (upper rooms are better re view and cooler/mosquito free -though I think sprays are used downstairs). Good sized fridge and small freezer meant wonderful home cooked meals on balcony when we didn't eat out at lovely local tavernas. (Oasis has great fish and wonderful view). Beach great though swimming from studios may not be that good for small children, bit rocky/reef - good for snorkelling!) Cretan buses are amazing - apparently - so you could come here by bus (Chania airport is nearest) but we had a car and did a lot of local gorge walks - best of which is Aradena Gorge. We did a circular walk from Loutro (amazing) which was fabulous but a bit tricky re ferry timings. It would be nice if there were an earlier ferry to Loutro. Overall amazing as a get away. Advice is book up as they are pretty well booked most of the summer. My main request would be - please trim down the trees/bushes in the garden as they obstruct the lovely view far more than earlier photos probably taken many years ago. Only other point we had was, we had a bath but couldn't have one as plug didn't work and not enough hot water but we didn't really need one when we went, shower was sufficient.…
Right on the beach, these modern and well furnished rooms are ideal for a relaxing stay. The room was spacious with a nice little kitchen area for self catering. The balcony through the French windows gives onto the garden and beach area. Also a nice large couch in the kitchen area.
Big Studio apartements just a few meters from the beach. Room is basically equipped with everything you need. Just bring your own coffee maker, if you prefer good coffee in the morning. Balcony is overlooking the garden and the sea. Wifi is accessible in rooms and even at the beach. Private beach is a big plus here. It is very quiet. But you need a car to get anywhere to see some other parts of Crete. But the Supermarket is just around the Corner of the Hotel, also the next bar/Restaurant just a few steps away. Recommendation!
We spent one week at Studios Stavris and were happy with everything. The location right at the beach provides a lot of space and clear water (snorkelling was good at the time we were there - colourful fishes - but there's no guarantee for that, the water and the wind can be rough and be aware of a possibly VERY strong undercurrent!). The room that we had was basic, clean and equipped with all we needed (beds were wonderful) and the service was excellent. Since the wind might roar, the waves rush in and the cicadas busily do their chirping, the nights aren't necessarily quiet, yet wonderful. If you have a car, day trips are easily possible to several destinations. It is a lovely place for having a tranquil and easy holiday, and we will come back!
This is very nice, clean and quiet place with wifi on the beach! Private beach is a huge plus. You got aircondition, fridge and small kitchen in the room. Maid lady clean every second day. Near this place you can also find delicious restaurants! I am going be here next year again!
Very nice simple first floor studio apartment, with a balcony overlooking the garden and the beach, in a quiet spot on the edge of the spread out village. Our room was cleaned every other day, the beds were firm, and the air conditioning worked well and was not noisy. There is a sleepy beach taverna with a lovely pebble beach two minutes walk away, and a number of very good tavernas within a fifteen minute walk. We enjoyed the Oasis, the Vatalos, and Babis Popi most of all. We walked the nearby Imbros gorge taking a taxi from Komitades up to the start, and it was much quieter than the Samaria gorge. We also took the ferry from Hora to the island of Gavdos for the day. Both outings were well worth doing. However a strong warm wind, the Meltemi, can blow for two or three days at a time in July and August, and this can disturb what would otherwise be a perfect holiday spot.…
