Situated in the Namib desert very close to the Sossuvlei sand dunes , Kulala lodge has an eco friendly luxury to it . It does not have the air conditioning 5 star luxury of its sister Little Kulala if that's what ur looking for . Each individual lodge has its balcony and rooftop facing the dessert , with a mattress...

It is impossible not to have a brilliant location when you are in the Namib. But our stay was made unforgettable, not by the views, but by the people. Unpretentious but sheer luxury. We were treated both as friends and as VIPs. The hostess, Anna and our guide, Steph's love of their country and passion to share it with visitors,...

This lodge is very well set up with plenty of friendly staff. The rooms, despite having no aircon, have roll-up sides so one benefits from the breeze which keeps the temperatures bearable. The swimming pool was a real plus and (unlike some) was of a decent size. Our guide, Michael, was extremely knowledgeable and eager to share this with us.Having experienced the...

Pros: The lodge is remotely located in a beautiful area with great views of the desert and surrounding rocky hills. It is well-staffed with very friendly and helpful employees. One of its biggest draws is the private access road they have into the national park just to the west. From other lodges, you would need to drive into the park...

We spent 3 nights at this desert lodge, our first of three in Namibia. Stayed in room #4, a free standing thatch-roofed building overlooking the vast desert landscape. Lots of surprising comfort creatures including a roof-top sleeping area for the star gazers which can be prepared for you upon request. No A/C but the wind usually kicks up in the...

We enjoyed our stay at Kulala Desert Lodge, very close to the the Sossusvlei and the magnificent orange dunes. The scenery is breathtaking with Oryxes, ostriches and jackals roaming in front of the lodges. Sunrise and sunset are stunning. The staff is friendly and the food served is good. Our guide for the days was great, with in depth knowledge...

This was our last camp in our trip in Namibia, and although not the most luxurious we had stayed in, the surroundings and the staff were fantastic. Our guide, Alfred was very knowledgeable and so keen to make sure we enjoyed every aspect of our stay, even finding us a very special place for our last sundowner in Namibia! We...

Wilderness have a formula which is repeated but adjusted to fit in with the specific surroundings at each site I've been to. Here the lodges were of the half-tent variety erected on a wooden platform facing into the desert surroundings. The central facilities building was on a small rise affording views across the landscape. The flat roof was home to...
