The Namib is special. To watch it from above, in luxury that is still real, is wonderful. Our welcome was friendly and we knew everything that was necessary to know, from the beginning. The Sussusvlei brief helped tremendously. The tent/rooms are well appointed. Beautiful views good furniture and no plastic! We enjoyed the pool, even in winter. Pity we were... More

Amazing setting, great luxurious tented accommodation. We had a suite and it was spacious, private, comfortable and looked great with excellent views. The staff offer service I would rate more alongside top international hotels and little touches made it feel top drawer. For example, you are greeted with a drink, an explanation of how everything works and a general welcome.... More

Such a gorgeous setting up a hill with beautiful views over the bush. Wonderful luxury tented accommodation, lovely welcome and fantastic service. This was my favourite lodge of all the ones we stayed in Namibia. Do not attempt to drive up the short, but very steep hill unless you have a 4 x 4 - everyone parks at the bottom... More

The Moon Mountain Lodge was definitely one of my favorite accommodations ever. It was a last minute booking for us, and I think we made an awesome decision. Not going to lie, it was a bit of a pain to get there in our little Nissan sedan from Outjo. The roads are not paved and there are quite a bit... More

Beautiful Lodge situated along a side of a mountain overlooking the Namib Desert. The location is amazing with spectacular views. The rooms are well equipped, tastefully decorated and even have a private cold plunge pools…. a welcome relief after a long hot hike! We enjoyed a nearby hike through the mountains where we observed a family of zebras. Be aware... More

The tents are lovely, and as veggies they provided some good food, but the best thing is the setting. You feel completely in the wilderness and there really is a moonscape just on the doorstep of your tent. Highly recommended. Lovely staff, good food, great accommodation and fabulous setting.

This is a semi-rustic lodge, not a pampered high end venue. The cabins are wood-sided tents, the suites come with a separate bath tent. A cold hot tub and a nice balcony with a view complete the package. No telephone. No cell service. And the only internet is at the restaurant building. The views over nothing are captivating - although... More

Great food, great service, amazing view from the tents... for me the best hotel that I have ever been during my trips. It is worth the investment. The hotel it is about 1 hour driving from sossusvlei, so if you leave by 5am you can still have a great pic from the top of Dune 45!

A luxury rustic self contained structured, tented lodge on stilts built on the side of a small mountain with spectacular, uninterrupted views and, at night, breathtaking starry skies. Received a very warm welcome from the manageress, Mia, who showed us to our chalets. Huge kingsize bed central to the room overlooks the desert through open doors which lead onto a... More

Stayed at this lodge for one night last night. Absolutely stunning views! The tents are rustic but beautiful. The sunset is breathtaking and the silence is deafening. The hosts are a man and wife team , Mia and George, and they do make an excellent team. Very professional, friendly and helpful. Mia's husband is not only the general manager, but... More
