The highlight of Lugnaquilla Lodge is the warm welcome you receive. Matt is a great Irish storyteller, full of warmth and wonderful stories about his years in the Navy and in the circus! Anne is a fabulous cook who provided a bacon and cabbage dinner - just what we needed at the end of a long day's hiking. Plus a...

while doing the Wicklow way, 4 of us all retired blokes, we walked down to the dying cow for a few Guinness when we arrived and Matt picked us up when dinner was ready, a good filling meal cooked by Anne and some more Guinness to wash it down with, had a good laugh with them during dinner. Great B&B,...

Really friendly B&B. Matt and his family made us feel very welcome. They served us good home cooked food in very generous portions. They kindly drove us down to the Dying Cow for an after dinner Guinness and generally took good care of us and the other guests. Add this to the wonderful location and you have a winner!

Almost a year since my first visit and our host and hostess were so welcomeing. After coming off the Wicklow way a great pint in The Dying Cow down the road a quick phone call to Mat another pint while you wait for him to come pick up your bags, " not a bother, don't struggle up the hill bags...

My wife and I walked the Wicklow Way from South (Clonegal) to North (Enniskerry). In Lugnaquilla View B&B situated along the Wicklow Way, we stayed for a night after our first walking day. When Matt opens his door, you immediately experience a warm welcome and you feel at home. Matt and Anne have comfortable, clean rooms and offer you a...

First of all, Matt and Anne literally rescued us in the middle of the night, because we couldn't finish your hiking to the B&B. After getting there they took care of us like we were of their family, making food for us and making sure that we were well accommodated and happy! On the next day Matt even took us...

I stayed here for one night, almost two months ago. It was our first B&B on the Wicklow Way. That day I tripped over some barbwire and had to walk several miles with a bruised and bloody leg. The owners gave us a warm welcome, took care of this "dumb" Belgian's leg, drove us to Shillelagh where I bought myself...

3 of us stayed here during our walk of the Wicklow Way. All of us travel extensively for our work and have become inured and jaded with travel. So nothing typically surprises us. However the unique experience with Matthew and Anne made me proud to be Irish. It was warm, wonderful, friendly and memorable. I think that they are the...
