We were on the fence about whether or not we should cancel our spring break vacation because of the covid 19 pandemic. We decided that life is too short and decided to leave on March 13 for 2 weeks as planned. Greeted at St John Airport by a host and SUV from Carlisle Bay for our ride to the resort. The roads are terrible but that is to be expected on these islands. Greeted at lobby by staff and our rooms were ready for us. The rooms are perfect for a family as we were only 3 this vacay. Because of the outbreak the breakfast buffet was cancelled and was a la cart only. The East restaurant was only open every other day also as expected. I would definitely go there again under better circumstances as we had to cut our trip short by 3 days due to AC flights not flying after Thursday. The staff was amazing! Seon looked after us, Latisha was great and Larry the concierge too! They took the time to remember our name and always treated us as if we were the only guests (actually the last week, there were only a few guests left) Outstanding Service!!!! Thanks again Carlisle Bay! I hope you all come out of this soon.

I spent five days at Carlisle Bay at the end of February with my grandmother. We both loved the resort. The property itself is picturesque. The restaurants are all excellent, the jetty grill, in particular, was fantastic. the resort has a quiet, laid back vibe. It is suitable for families or people looking for a more relaxing vacation. The staff is always attentive and friendly. I never had trouble getting a drink from one of the three bars on the property. The bartenders, especially Jason, Marlon, and Benn, were great for casual conversation and good service.. They always had a rum and coke ready for me. I can't say enough good things about Carlisle Bay, go and you will not regret it. We had the vacation of a life time. I can't wait to go back some day.

This restaurant is designed for people with not exceedingly large appetites . For indeed, the portions are small as can be expected in gourmet dining, but very tasty. I must mention Sadeke who waited on our table with excellence, not in your face but very attentive. I must also mention the manager Michael , who came over to our table just to say hi. Food was good, service was good, ambience was good.

Visited Carlisle Bay with family and stayed in Ocean Suite. The accommodations are definitely spacious (as others pointed out), but very basic and in need of renovations. The furnishings are not what you would expect in a luxury room/suite and the bathroom area (tiles, sinks, faucets) are on a par with 3- to 4-star properties elsewhere. Lastly, if you end up in an Ocean Suite on the third floor, make sure you are up for climbing wooden stairs which get quite slippery when it rains. The resort appears to be very popular with two demographics: families with small children and retirees from UK. The beach is great and so are the beach lounges - very comfortable and plentiful. The food offering is a mixed bag. We had dinners at Indigo, East and Jetty - and all were quite good, albeit expensive (dinner for 4 with moderate amount of drinks is average of $400-$500). However, breakfast was subpar, with a buffet selection that looked barely appetizing and not being replenished timely. Lunch at Ottimo was average at best. Most of the staff we came across with was wonderful and ready to assist. The front desk was especially fantastic and Tony was an absolute superstar. To be fair, Carlisle Bay's price point is lower than that of Jumby Bay, Curtain Bluff or, for example, Four Seasons Anguilla. At the same time, Carlisle Bay is part of the Leading Hotels of the World, Platinum Hotels & Resorts and is highly rated by Andrew Harper. So one would expect a true 5-star experience and accommodations at such property. Regretfully, this was not the case.
