My husband and I just returned from a 1 week stay at Cocobay and all I have to say is WOW! I have traveled to tropical destinations all over the world but this place is truly something magical. The views from all over the property are just breathtaking, I still can’t believe a place this beautiful exists! Our favorite place is to be was lounging at the main pool - it is the most peaceful and beautiful spot to be. The hotel itself is very thoughtfully laid out, with quaint little cottages lining the ocean side. Food was consistently delicious and full of fresh, unique flavors - their selection of soups are to die for. There is a coffee-shop with a delicious selection of pastries and small bites each day, all included in the price. We want to give a special mention to the incredible staff at Cocobay who go above and beyond. They are so incredibly kind, welcoming, and genuine and made our stay that much more special. By the end of our trip, it was sad to say goodbye. Special shout-out to Sheron, Kermisha, Denise, Francine, Mr. Gore, Jermaine, and Shekida! Cocobay is a hidden gem, a true-must visit. I could not be happier with my choice to stay here for my husband and I’s anniversary!…
We just returned from 7 days over Christmas at Cocobay and the place totally exceeded our expectations. If you're in any doubt, just book this place and enjoy - you will definitely not regret it. We travel internationally 4-5 times / year and have visited 67 countries (wolfestreettravel.com) and yet have never stayed at an all-inclusive, so we didn't know what to expect from the experience. It turned out to be great! First, the resort, though. Perfect location, beautiful property, outstanding main pool by the restaurant and main bar, very good sunset pool by the beach, and really, really great staff. Everyone was friendly and helpful, but Kemlin really made our stay extraordinary. Huge shout out to Kemlin for defining what a great experience at a Caribbean resort can be at its best. A true gem. We were fortunate to have stayed in three cottages over our 7 days - first in a Deluxe Pool Cottage (no. 36, which had a great view, but with a plunge pool that was a little exposed), then in a succession of two Azure Private Pool Suites (Bougainville then Oleander). Oleander, in particular, was spectacular, and we will definitely try to request this when return (and we will). The dining was generally really good. Definitely some real hits that impressed us. There were also a few misses, but nothing to worry about. Lunch is three courses, if you have dessert, and dinner is four. There are also paninis available mid-morning to mid-afternoon at the sunset pool bar and bar bites available in the late afternoon at the main bar. We had Christmas dinner at Sheerrocks immediately below / adjacent to Cocobay, and the quality of Cocobay's food was so comparable to Sheerrocks that we cancelled our second reservation at Sheerrocks on our final night and just enjoyed our regular dinner at Cocobay. Both bars were really responsive and provided cocktails / beer / liquor in varieties completely consistent with what you would expect at a 4-star resort. We really enjoyed - for the first time - the benefits of an open bar at an all-inclusive, which made relaxing and reading by the pool each day really enjoyable. As noted above, we definitely will be returning to Cocobay. This is really unusual for us, since we like to always go to somewhere new. But our experience was THAT enjoyable. Thanks to Cocobay, Kemlin, Vernon, and all the staff for a wonderful Christmas holiday on Antigua.…
This resort checked off all the bells and whistles, just beautiful and romantic. The property was gorgeous snd well kept, the delux cottage with a pool and ocean view was a 10+. My husband and I enjoyed all the employee's we came across with their lovely touches but there were just a few special individuals that gave that special touch. Melinda Fredrick, Mr. Gore, Jermaine, Larisa, D'Andre, D'Vern, Charmaine, the massage staff were excellent and caring. There were many names we can't remember but this has to be the best staff of caring individuals we ever came across in a resort setting and we're avid travelers so this is wonderful. If you get a chance, definitely check out Sheer Rock Restaurant, delicious and romantic with an awesome view. We will definitely be returning to this gem real soon.…
I just wrote a huge review and it got deleted omg. This place is amazing just book it goddammit. The views are the best I’ve ever seen at a resort. The food is great. The staff is so nice. I recommend getting a private plunge pool. We spent more time in our pool than in the main resort pools. Two things that remember that I think could use improvement were as follows: 1. guests would put their towels on pool lounge chairs in the morning to reserve their chairs for the entire day, even if they weren’t by the pool. Rudeeee. Maybe the resort can do something to prevent this. 2. Mongooses (I think) would sneak into the bathrooms by the restaurant/pool and go poopy oh the floor. I feel like the staff was constantly on top of cleaning the bathrooms but that was a little yucky to me as I have poopaphobia. Maybe some bathrooms with two doors would be nice by the restaurant. Some our our favorite things: 1. Big Ffryes beach was amazing and just a short walk past the resort beach (also very nice). Nothing like drinking Wadali beer from Denis in the ocean 2. Key lime pie 3. The food overall - Wowee 4. Our plunge pool was perfect 5. Bed was so comfy 6. The woman bartender at the sunset pool I forget her name 7. William 8. Everything 7. Overall our stay was amazing and we always say that we “peaked” on this vacation.…
I spent an amazing time at this resort. The cottage was beautiful, clean, and waking up to that view every morning was spectacular. The plunge pool was perfect! It was a great to get back and have the option to lounge around in the pool and had a gorgeous view! The staff was welcoming, friendly, and went out of their way to make sure we had a great vacation. The accommodations are already amazing, but the staff really made our trip, from recommendations of where to eat, what to do, where to go, they went above and beyond to make sure we had an amazing trip, beyond just the stay at the resort. Nariba, Liza, and Latanya were so lovely and really made our stay memorable and enjoyable. Thank you so much ladies, I will definitely be returning!
I can't say enough good things about this resort! The front desk staff are friendly, accommodating, helpful and so kind! The beach is a complete dream!!!! Coming from the Philadelphia area, I truly enjoyed the calm and peaceful vibes of the ocean, I am normally terrified of the ocean, but I was in the water for HOURS every day! We ate at Sheerocks, the restaurant attached to the resort and while the cost was extra, it was worth every penny! The private pool in our cottage was perfect for having privacy. Get the floating breakfast!!!! We did this for our 1st morning there & it was the perfect start to our trip! The staff who brought the breakfast took photos and videos of us for the experience and it was truly so nice of them to do that! The staff really make a point to learn your names and go above and beyond for you. They seem to run out of pool towels by 10am, but that's honestly fine bc you'll be dry in 5 minutes! It rained a few times but never for long and it was completely fine to continue whatever you're doing while it passes. The sushi boat was also amazing and I'm so glad we did it in the romance pool - completely private, we were served our own special cocktails and even had some professional photos done. My husband is sober and the staff here really accommodated that and got him mocktails with ease! I would give this place 10000 stars if I could! What an amazing honeymoon! I also celebrated my birthday during our stay and while the private poolside dinner I reserved was canceled due to rain, they sent a beautiful tray of chocolate dipped fruit and champagne to our room as well as a candles and flower petals in our room, complimentary. I seriously could go on forever, I can wait for our next visit!…
We spent a fantastic 8 days at Cocobay Resort for our honeymoon and had the best time. The staff are so friendly and welcoming- they made the stay so special for us. Nothing is too much trouble for them. We stayed in a Deluxe Cottage with plunge pool. The room was clean and the views from our balcony were stunning. There is a mini fridge, tea/coffee-making facilities, safe and hairdryer provided in the room, as well as complimentary water bottles. The resort is fairly small and intimate. There is one main restaurant, which is part of the all-inclusive. There is a great selection for breakfast, lunch and evening meal every day. There is also the Sheer Rocks restaurant, which is not included in the all-inclusive. We loved the coffee shop, which serves hot and cold drinks, cakes and sandwiches (part of the all-inclusive). You can also get paninis and 'Bar Bites' from the two bars. All the food and drinks are delicious, especially the wide selection of cocktails. There are also themed nights throughout the week which are held by one of the pools. We really enjoyed the Caribbean night! There are two pools, both of which have stunning views of the water and the beach. We never had an issue finding a bed by one of the pools, although if you go down to the beach, beds tend to be taken up quickly. I would definitely recommend booking one of the floating breakfast/sushi experiences. We booked the floating breakfast in the Romance Pool and it was fantastic. Overall, we had a brilliant time and would highly recommend staying at Cocobay. You will not regret it!…
This was our second stay at Cocobay and this one was even better than in 2009. The food is delicious, drinks are well made and so tasty, the private rooms have amazing views, staff is nice, and the beach with beautiful reef for snorkeling is amazing. Definitely the best resort experience we've ever had. You feel like you're really taken care of, and we'll definitely be back again!
We spent 6 days at Cocobay Resort and had a wonderful time! The views are stunning, the beach gorgeous, the food delicious and the staff friendly and helpful. Personally, we usually skip the all-inclusive resorts because we are picky eaters and eat much less than most, but everything we ate during our stay was absolutely delicious! The beach seems small at first, but never felt over-crowded and we spent our entire trip there swimming, snorkeling and relaxing. We’ve been to many tropical destinations and rank this one high on the list! FYI: if you prefer snacks throughout the day or for your room in the evenings, we suggest including some of your snacks from home in your packing list as the lunches and “bar bites” are at scheduled times and the gift shop has limited options for snacks.…
We can only recommend Cocobay, we had the best time here! The place is absolutely gorgeous, the rooms are amazing, the whole place has this rustic character, loved it! The staff were absolutely the best, big thank you for Janine for all the help. The food was spectacular, the bar service was great and the view with the beach was just perfect! Thank you Cocobay and the whole team for making our holiday perfect! Can’t wait to come back next year!
