The biggest peeve was the receptionist insisting at first she had to keep our ID which is nonsense. After pressing that we needed to check out very early, she just took a pic. That means that taking the picture of the ID was sufficient all along. As stated already the AC did not work. Also, you need the key to lock the door from the inside because the door didn't have a locking knob. Extremely unusual and annoying.

We stopped at this hotel first in Jan/Feb 2019 and we had a lovely time, the food was good the room spotless the housekeeping and bar staff fantastic and its a nice location tucked out of the way. We decided to return in early March 2020 and were shocked at the condition and cleanliness - the food was dire, pool furniture falling to bits and dangerous - all the old experienced staff were gone - the new staff were inexperienced and did not understand any English at all. We were very very disappointed and this is the first review I have ever done that is negative.

On arrival the staff paid no attention to any of us at the main desk her face just glued to the screen in fron of her, so dont expect any nice friendly welcome, after handing in passports e.t.c still no eye contact, were then told room not ready until 2 pm it was only 9.30 am we were so hot, the only place offered to sit was a hard wooden bench, a couple that were on our flight were shown to there room straight away, I confronted hotel owner why this was, and was told they paid for early check in, so I asked if I could pay, she mad a quick call and told me our room was ready and if we pay we can have it now I was angry having to pay when the room was already cleaned, we paid 5 dollars an hour so total 20 dollars, our sister and brother in law who we had travelled with did the same so finally we can get to our room, I asked if someone could take our cases as there were steep steps about 13 to get to room and pool level, we paid for pool side room, on entering the room, it was tydy but I would say it was clean, thick dust on the tv and the units, the bathroom sink wasnt clean toilet was ok. Wanting to get changed and already waiting 10 mins we go up to reception again to ask for our luggage to be brought to our room, finally it arrived they broke one of our cases. Then we find out our sister and husband have been put in a room near reception hot poolside as paid for so back to reception again they did move them but to a top floor. We later found out the couple that had been before didnt have to pay to get into there room so we spoke to our tui rep trish, but she said she coukdnt do anything.pool level there is a bar with pool table but noone is ever there to serve a drink , if you shout up to reception sometimes they would send someone down but they didnt want to literally make drinks and tried to offer you a can from the fridge..we couldnt understand what was going on as the reviews were so good for this place, then we realised it had changed hands a week before we came over.breakfast is terrible, noodles meat in sauce bread with a grill toaster that never toasts, staff will cook eggs only so fried or omelette, omelette always raw in middle, fried eggs always too greasy, juice always lukewarm same with tea and coffee.it wasnt until day 3 we realised that they will cook lunch, that was very expensive and frankly not very nice at all.i wouldn't say it's in a good location up a long slope from the main road, always having to move out of the way everytime a scooter or car came up, I moved one day and fell down a hole, luckily only a bruise but could have been a lot worse, we had alot of trouble with taxis they didnt know the new name or the old name, the swimming pools need attention the look rather grimy gritty and dirty, the grass surrounding it is very overgrown and mostly weeds than grass.the huts were ok they should have been cleaner but they were ok basic open front single wardrobe, bench for suitcases beside tables air con and air fan, the room has a safe but we chose not to use it as it is a number programme but also a key you dont get a key so you know reception have all the keys. After day 4 of our beds being made but no clean sheet I stripped the bed myself put in laundry bin and finally got clean sheets,we got friendly with the man manager and his cute little daughter, after day 5 the put a notice board out saying bar will close at 7 pm what bar closes at 7 pm, after going out for dinner and comming back it's like being told you can all go to bed now, I also spoke to tui rep about this who agreed it was crazy the bar closee at 7 pm, only 1 person spoke a little english at the resort so this was difficult, having the hotel do washing for you is very expensive even though they dont actually wash it, they take it to the local laundrette. The outside bathrooms arnt very nice, dirt and rocks chucked about made up the landscape full of mozzies in there which made it difficult having showers.i am really shocked that this hotel is actually on tui books, I would not recommend it, although saying that, if booked on booking .com for 15 pound a night then I would say this is ok, but as a tui holiday I would give it a miss for sure

I can not fault this lovely little resort, I had a lovely little bungalow with an outdoor bathroom, which was a lovely touch. The room was large with airc our fan and all amenities , breakfast was included and a wide variety was on offer. The beach is about a 10 minute walk, daily shuttle bus to night market and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I arrived on my birthday and my room was decorated and I had a beautiful cake and flowers. This was a last minute deal and it exceeded my expectations. Phu Quoc is not fully on the tourist map yet but it was absolutely beautiful and unspoilt. The resort was very relaxed and the staff were all very nice. I loved it so much I’m going to Phu Quoc again.

We stayed here for three weeks and had a fantastic experience. Thank you so much to all the staff who were so helpful, kind and helpful. The accommodation is of the main road so it was very quiet and peaceful. Everything was spotless and clean and could not fault anything. Would recommend this resort as it’s in a beautiful setting and close to the beach, restaurants and supermarkets. Thank you for wonderful holiday.
