My husband and I didn’t stay at Mai Spa Resort but we did spend three evenings at the restaurant/bar. I cannot review the actual rooms because we didn’t stay there but I can say that the restaurant was the perfect location to enjoy the sunset and have a drink. Very beautiful and quiet and a perfect view of the beach. But what really kept us coming back for 3 evenings was the service. The young girl working was very sweet and very attentive. She remembered our order and was very helpful when we asked her to take some photos of us. Im not sure of her name but her service was part of what kept us coming back! We also ordered food one night and it was very hot and fresh. Would highly recommend checking out this cute little restaurant if you’re looking for a place to stop and have a drink or a bite to eat! …
Im very happy that i chose Mai Spa resort. The place was like made for us. Beautiful and peaceful area, yet close to everything. Everything worked fine, service, cleaning, restaurant, and I can't complain about anything. Thanks to the hotel and restaurant staff and especially to one small and young? waitress. She was incredibly fast, hardworking and still friendly. An, you are special. <3 You are the heart of the hotel. I am so happy that I met you. An, to your presence, kindness and professionalism made us feel at home and made our holiday perfect. <3
Very reasonably priced spa ($20 for a full body sea salt exfoliating treatment!) on the beach on the Mai House grounds. The facilities are clean and very private with a relaxing atmosphere. I had the sea salt full body exfoliating treatment that had me in a state of delightful relaxed bliss after what felt like forever being pampered. Felt as if I was walking on air when I left. So good, I booked my wife the same treatment even though she hates this sort of thing! Now she’s a convert...
We are regular travelers and have realistic expectations. But here in Mai Spa it was a devastation to our expectations and the whole Vietnam experience. The property location is good but the poor upkeep makes it horrible. The staff count is negligible and you can not expect any kind of housekeeping or room service. The rooms are rotten and you will find termite all around which is very disturbing. The receptionist tried to cheat us by giving a downgrade room stating the one which we booked was unavailable, however when we told them to complaint on agoda.com the gave us the room category which we booked but the room was the worst one could imagine. The STAFF is Rude and annoying and not ready to help even if you ask for. NOT RECOMMENDED.
My main goal was to rest. I wanted a room with view on the sea and a mosquito net to sleep well at night, without air con that makes you sick. Spa to have massage. Possibility to eat and book tours. Also, they have the toilet spray to wash yourself with water which I really enjoy and that you usually don't have in 5 star hotels. My stay was perfect. I rested and enjoyed sunset, massage, mango shakes and fresh coconut. Music was nice, easy listening type. Staff was very nice and considerate. I recommend the standard sea view bungalow with balcony. I had 3 days of perfect bliss.
