Never had fish that good in a pub, let alone one that isn't on a coastline. It managed to be a huge portion yet really light and manageable, all at the same time!!! And then there was a band, and they served no-alc beer, which this pregnant lady much appreciated!!! Great pub, great food, fab staff. Thank you!!!!

Kilmartin is a great place to visit if you are around Oban. The museum is superb, and the surrounding Neolithic sites, including standing stones and cairns, are beautiful and fascinating. The church is stunning, too. When you are here, stop for a meal at the Kilmartin Hotel. This was the best pub food we have had in Scotland. Nice ales,... More

We visited after being recommended by friends and we weren't disappointed fresh food well cooked. Starter of baked Camembert followed by fantastic chicken wrapped in bacon on a bed of haggis, fresh veg, boiled new potatoes and a whisky cream sauce - just delightful. All in all it was some of the best bar food we've had in a long... More

We had one of the large rooms which was very spacious, with big shower,& lovely clean bed linen. & big bath towels. The staff here are very friendly & courteous . Richard who manages this hotel gave us a very warm welcome,& nothing is to much trouble for him.The hotel itself is actually on the main A82 road, where you can... More

We stayed at a nearby B&B and ate here on two occasions. Both times the food was great. I consider myself a chip connoisseur, this is now in my top 5 places to eat chips.... & there were loads of them. I would recommend the goats cheese & black pudding starter, the steak pie, the burger & of course the... More

What a shame, because this could be a lovely hotel. However, it needs a good bloody clean and some money spent on decor. Staff were friendly enough, but clean your bl**dy hotel!!! Walls, ceiling are mouldy and carpets are disgusting. The lock on our door was cheap, sticky and annoying to operate, walls are paper thin, can hear the neighbours... More

We were a little dubious as the hotel from the outside looks a little tired. However, we were given a wonderful welcome and the food was delicious. The young man on his first night was charming, I'm sure he will be great under the guidance of the young lady on the bar, she was brilliant.

The Manager extended a warm welcome to a family party of 8 unexpectedly wanting to eat at the Kilmartin Hotel. A side room was speedily prepared. Choosing from an extensive, interesting menu, meals were substantial and served not too long after placing the order. Having being let down at the hotel of our first choice, The Kilmartin Hotel went above... More

We have had a very nice family lunch in the Kilmartin Hotel after being out exploring the surrounding area up to Dunadd Fort. The menu was varied and catered for all tastes & children. The food was very hot, servings very generous, and the staff very pleasant. I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a "value for money" meal... More
