Very nice place to stay. Hotel is very nice, rooms were clean, small a little outdated. Pools were nice, clean. Service was good. Breakfast had good selection, and there was plenty of food. Overall i would recommend to try this place.
Best to go when kids are back to school-best bargain out of season. High end rooms as far as East European standard, however low-to mid end rooms West Euro standard. Steam rooms and saunas are great. I have been there three times in the last 3 years. The pools and water are worth it. Plan to go again.
Stayed two nights at Hotel Aphrodite. Room was a bit small but clean and nice. SPA area is very good as well but one thing was missing. I only found one hanger where I could hang my bathrobe before entering the pools as all of the chairs were taken. This is the only minus. Staff was nice, did not have a problem to answer any questions. We only had breakfast but the buffet offered a lot of choices. Eggs, ham, cheese, sweet breakfast etc.
Outstanding Place in Slovakian Nature Preserved Really like a Spa Attraction park half half with statues andstuff but at the same time really good body care it was a pleasure to enjy the spa and hammam there !
This was a thoroughly enjoyable experience; clean, good food, fine facilities if a little 'style over substance' but never the less, it was a good value place to unwind and enjoy the spa. The noise from building works on site was slightly distracting. However, if you want to save money, the Lido a few moments down the road is just as enjoyable, especially for families.
Living myself in Slovakia, I have been to most of the existing SPAs in the country, Aphrodite is simply just a show off... Everything appears and looks good but an important point which they should improve is the SERVICE! The staff is acting (90%) like you annoy them especially because almost nobody speaks English... Hotel room was ok but the bed was not silent (each movement made the bed crack). Regarding the restaurant, the buffet is on the Average, nothing special. To sum up, not a 4 star but a low grade 3 star (expect for the SPA architecture)
I stayed only one night and enjoyed it very much. The reason why i rate the place one point less is complicated orientation in the hotel. Signes in the corridors were rather confusing then helpful and so we were lost all the time.
I have not been in this hotel for at least 8 years and I will not come -next 8 years. I stayed in this hotel for 4 night with my family. Room - I have never seen a room in 4-star hotel without any serious window (please see the picture). They call my room family room with roof windows but they are not roof windows but hatches in a ship. You can not even seriously tell if there is a sun outside or thunder storm. Seriously, this room is 2-star bed and breakfast level. When I tried to complain about the room the receptionist politely explained that I am the only one who was complaining and all family rooms were the same. I was told that regular rooms were even smaller. Later the reception called and offered me bigger room (apartment) for extra money. I refused because I wanted 4-star room for 4-star price and not 2-star from for 4-star price. Food - Food is provided in sister hotel (5-star) Aphrodite Palace but the quality is really low. Mainly very heavy food is served (al lot of fried meat and potatoes ....). I would expect that food should be more healthy style especially if you are in spa. You have to come early for breakfast or dinner because if the food runs out, they will not add additional but replace it with something "cheap". Spa/Swimming pool - definitely not for kids. This hotel is more spa than hotel with pool. On the other hand, spa services were great and without any problems. Services - are on the lower level. People look at you like you are not customer but someone who is bothering them. Conclusion - Will I come again any time soon? No. Will I recommend it to any family with kids? No.…
I spent some 4 days in the hotel in autumn 2014. Just before writing my review I surprisingly found 4 “terrible” ratings and I quickly read them. It looks like they were in some other place, but maybe it is a change of time. At the time of my stay, the hotel had been short after a big reconstruction, some rooms were but still to be done. We had got a superior room with white furniture, pretty furnished with above-average for a 4-star hotel. The hotel claims to spend 10kg of gold for decorations, there is a lot of various glass enrichment, marble and other stones, etc. Actually I (and not only me) found it to much excessive. The staff was very obliging and there were lot of them in the lobby, however during the dinner (we had a hardboard) we had to wait very long sometimes. If you pay some surcharge, you can get a separate waitress, which cares for you, but then they pay less attention to other clients, so actually the overall staff-willingness suffers. There was life music of good quality every evening, wine tasting (free of charge) and other events. The hotel is interconnected with the pools and wellness area with a tunnel which leads through the area in the stage of reconstruction. The pools are nice, mainly on the night when they are beautifully enlightened. The sauna section is an average level, when we came one day at morning, all facilities except the classical finish sauna were cold yet. The girls there were active, nice and very helpful. Overall I can rate this hotel very good, if only all the four-star hotels were this quality.…
Have stayed 2 nights in this hotel I have to write that in my opinion this is not a four star. As I entered into reception, I was surrounded by the ancient world as everything was cerrespondendt to the name of the hotel. A baggage man showed me the room and as I came in I was srprised. The room was so small, that one could feel as he enterd into roon in 2star bed&breakfas. On the other hand wi-fi worked well and everything necessary (flat tv, safe, mininbar, hotel cosmetics..) was in. The hotel offers quite good range of spa- from termal pools to sauna and massages. The food offered in hotel restaurant (is situated in another Aphrodite palace hotel which is joined with the Aphrodite hotel with a tunnel) was of good range and quite tasty. But as I wrote, the rooms are very small, which is a pitty and an obstacle to give higher rating.…
