Highly recommended restored 14th century farm in the valleys of Madonie. Plenty of relaxing outside areas with lot of features and greenery. ideal for walks. Food well prepared by Luigi himself. Worth having dinner there instead of driving in the dark night.

This hotel is good. The staff are very friendly and hostess Karin showed us the best places to walk and watch birds. Our room was a little dark but you can expect that in an old farmhouse. The beds and bathroom were OK. The breakfast (fantastic jams!), antipasti, pasti and desserts were good, the segundi OK. There was fast wifi... More

I love this place. Its location is perfect. You look out down into the valley or up into the mountains. It is extremely peaceful and good for taking time out. The house itself is beautiful to look at. The rooms are very cosy and very clean. We were there at the end of the season i.e. November and even though... More

We chose Giardino Donna Lavia as a base for walking in the Madonie mountains. We couldn't have done better. The rooms are not elaborate, but have all one needs. The food is excellent local cooking and the half board was stunning value. It's definitely not worth getting in the car and going elsewhere to eat in the evening. We walked... More

We have spent one marvellous week in this agriturismo hotel in the Madonie mountains of Sicily. The owner Luigi and his wife Karin have welcomed us heartily and served us delicious authentic local Italian food. The place is amazingly quiet, I have rarely slept so well and relaxed so fantastically. Cefalu, a very nice village with beautiful dome and beach... More

We made a detour from the airport en route to Enna. This was a great place for lunch, outside no menus just lovely food that kept coming until we told them to stop! It was very much off the beaten track and thanks to Trip Advisor we selected it as our lunch venue.

This former Jesuit summer place--replete with a historical watch tower that apparently guarded the almond groves and an airy "cloister" where the monks apparently perambulated--is a unique place some 2300 feet up in the Madonie mountains. It is hard to find (and you should not try to "discover" it in the dark) but will surely reward your search. The rooms... More

We spent one night at Giardino Donna Lavia since we were visiting relatives and researching roots in Polizzi Generosa. The agriturismo was comfortable and the dinner we had there was lovely as was the breakfast.

I went to Donna Lavia for a family dinner while I was in Sicilia and fell in love with the place. I was staying at another farmhouse and immediately packed my bags and spent the remainder of my stay in Siciliy at Donna Lavia!!!! The owner and his family were amazing! The kindest, most inviting, generous, warm people I have... More

The owners are very inviting people who speak 3 languages German, Italian and English. The location includes a restaurant and cafe on the first floor. The second floor has 4 bedrooms with bathrooms. Then there is the 3rd floor tower room. I had dinner with a great group of German and Dutch while I was there. We even had champagne... More
