Glitter Bay Suites operated by Barbados Villa Services comprise of the following apartments 103, 107, 109, 113, 204, 206, 207, 210, 211, 302AS, 302TD, 303, 307, 308, 312, 313 on the west coast of Barbados. These apartments are all individually furnished, fully self contained, air conditioning throughout and all have internet TV and ADSL wireless connection. The units are spacious and well maintained and we provide hotel style maid service 6 days per week. Located on one of the best beaches on the west coast, 5 minutes away from Holetown. The facilities include two floodlit tennis courts, large fresh water swimming pool, fresh water wading pool, bar facility from 11 a.m. To sunset with cable TV, 24/7 security, fitness room with cable TV. Our apartments are all non-smoking. Smoking permitted in designated areas only.

We rented Unit 412, which was a disappointment. The property manger Blue Sky Luxury, initially sent us incorrect information and we received correct information only the day before our arrival. However, upon arrival, the security guard at the gate had no record of us. Further, when we finally reached the Unit, it was not ready: A/C not on, lights not on, laundry outside the door. During our first 6 days, we had multiple issues: bedroom fan in-operational, some lights not working, rusted kettle, metal fatigued saucepans. While these were eventually resolved, we had to endure one night of no lights because the Unit system was overloaded. Further, we could not use the cooker, for which the controls were unreadable, the racks were rusted and tray was also rusted. Our pleas for assistance were ignored by Blue Sky Luxury. Also, contrary to the advertisement, the sea view is very limited: you have to stand in one corner of the balcony and stretch your neck to see it. There are other units in the property which have been updated and we were able to see some of those. But Unit 412 needs updating for it to be acceptable. And we would not recommend Blue Sky Luxury. The property itself was beautifully maintained. However, there was limited restaurant service. And there were rules as to where one could sit on the lovely beach.…

I would like to point out that this unit is not managed by Barbados Villa Services and we have no affiliation with Blue Sky Luxury. Amazing location and accommodation, this would have got 5+ stars if it was not down to the poor staff running the place in particular “markeisha” who’s attitude is absolutely appalling with paying guests at this venue, We have never experienced so much rude and abrupt customer service from this person mainly in all our experience in travelling. Moving forward a massive shake up of staff and a lot of retraining in customer service would make this venue a top destination in one of the high end locations of Barbados. However not all staff are appalling, a special mention to “frank” who delivered amazing service throughout our trip which must not go unnoticed. We would never return again unless certain staff had a change in attitude and are reminded they are paid to deliver a service instead of trying to ruin your day treating you like a prisoner telling you what you can and can not do throughout your “holiday”.…

We book with Marilil at Barbados Villa Services and the whole experience from initial booking is always excellent. BVS is not to be confused with Eden travel / Royal GB who also rent properties here. The standard of the apartment is high and the beach is magnificent. Everyone is friendly and makes you feel so welcome. We can highly recommend a stay here. We look forward to returning - hopefully next year!

Having visited glitter bay several times before I feel compelled to compliment Marrilil and the team for giving us such a fabulous holiday in such difficult circumstances during the pandemic Their help and advice before and during the visit was invaluable and they made the whole pre travel and travel experience go seamlessly ! my wife and I had a 10 day stay in shells 312, the apartment was very spacious and very well equipped. We had a beautiful view of the pool and gardens, lovely in the evening on the balcony watching the sun go down . Location couldn't be any better, right on the beach and right outside on the main road is a bus stop taking you into Holes town 5mins away speightstown 10mins in the other direction. I would recommend shells 312 to anybody thinking of a holiday in Barbados.

We love Glitter Bay. Well located on the west coast with great facilities, beautiful beach and great staff. Loved the little changes this year, introducing a weekly BBQ and a recycling facility on site. There has been some extra investment this year to help maintain the excellent standards and it’s always lovely to return and see the same friendly team there. We always book through Barbados Villa Services. Marilil is extremely helpful and the villa management team are always on the end of the phone if you need them. The apartment is set up with a welcome pack of goods to save having to worry about shopping immediately on arrival and it all makes for a perfect holiday location.

My wife and I were accompanied by our daughter Amy and Freddy our grandson. We had 206 and they had 103,the apartments were fully equipped with everything,home it certainly was. The whole setup pool,beach,bar,restaurant were professionally staffed by a very friendly helpful team. The balconies on our apartments are set facing southwest so a great view of the sea all day long and a breeze as the site is so well designed. Superb location with other amenities along the beach which are also excellent. We all loved the holiday, we will be back👍🇧🇧

I stayed at Glitter Bay with my family on a recent holiday in Barbados. Look no further, this location/property is beautiful. See below for clarification around the confusion of the two entries on TripAdvisor. There is only one property which is called Glitter Bay. Regardless of who you book through, this property is great. Its a self catering Apartment/Condo style property with all the amenities you could wish for, for a perfect holiday. The property is ideal for Families. With the location right on an amazing stretch of beach with a pool, tennis courts, bar/restaurant for lunch, coffee, afternoon/sunset drinks. I loved the Beach chair/towel service which removed the need to rush down at 6am to get a spot. Chairs are allocated on arrival. The staff and security were very friendly and helpful. I felt very safe throughout our stay, with visible patrols around the clock. As it’s a self catering style property, the convenience of the Massy Supermarket 5mins down the road via car in Hometown makes it easy to set yourself up for Breakfast, lunch and dinner throughout your stay if you wish. There are restaurants close by and walking to some of those via the beach in the day in very pleasant - Fairmont beach club, Juju’s, Lone Star. At night walking to these plus others - Seacat, is a little more challenging due to the lack of pavement along the road and the speed of the traffic. Without kids this is doable with care. With kids I wouldn’t advise. We didn’t have a car, used Taxi’s which cost around $10 per trip. I will definitely rebook this place. We had a lovely week. Clarification on Glitter Bay I feel the need to help clarify a question I had before booking this trip which many others I am sure will have too. On TripAdvisor there are two enteries - Royal Glitter Bay Villas and Glitter Bay Suites. On first review, this implies that there are two different locations/[properties. This is not the case. There is only one location called - Glitter Bay. From what I can gather from staying at Glitter Bay and speaking with some of the regular visitors, the two entries on TripAdvisor relate to two different agencies/companies managing different apartments/condos on the Glitter Bay property. I think the apartments/condo’s vary in standards (again gathering from what others around the pool/beach said) We actually booked through a private owner and we were very very happy with our apartment.…

It is indeed the same property however they are listed as The Glitter Bay Suites and Royal Glitter Bay Villas as we are two of the largest managing companies for this property and as such differentiate due to this reason and for review/pricing purposes. All the apartments are privately owned and the property is managed by a general manager employed by the Board of owners. Great to hear that you enjoyed your stay and we have a large number of regular repeat guest that book with us every year. We visited 312 'Shells' in July 2018 with our two children. From the moment we arrived, it felt like luxury. The apartment itself is beautifully and thoughtfully decorated and the attention to detail is superb. The views from the spacious balcony are lovely, the grounds are tended too with such care - and if you're lucky you may spot a few of the monkeys - which the children loved. The pool and private beach are a stones throw away and having allocated sun beds on arrival means you're able to take things at your leisure. The white sandy beach is beautiful under your toes and the blue sea is clear and refreshing. The bar and restaurant are great, the food was very tasty and enjoyed by both children and adults in our group. With a drink in the hand it was very easy to slip straight into the pace of Barbados life! The bar tender even showed the children a small sea turtle they were rescuing. This really is a place to be cherished and one where we made unforgettable family memories. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.…

This is our 12th time to Glitter bay. Always a great time and a great beach. This is not an overly resort but there is always beach chairs for you. In off season there maybe a dozen or so ppl on the beac. just fine by me. Sometimes peace and quiet is just what you need. During peak season it is much busier. Great rooms , beautiful gardens and close to Holetown
