We stayed at this wonderful hotel for a week in February and I cannot express how brilliant our holiday was, truly lovely people, nothing was too much trouble, food was excellent in the hotel, rooms were really luxurious and the views of the ocean were spectacular, its on the best beach for lounging and swimming. we highly recommend this great friendly hotel. we will going back next year.
We arrived at the fairmont hotel to a wonderful greeting, taken to our room that had the best view across the Caribbean Sea. The room was very clean comfortable and well stocked with everything you would need. Breakfast became and absolute dream the table service is outstanding the freshly cooked breakfast and buffet cereals/fruit were beautiful. All kinds of choices served hot and again with a view to die for! Lunch menu was excellent and the drinks available at the bar really made it so easy to just stay and relax. All the staff were on hand for anything you needed and great fun to chat to. Some great shops on site and nothing was too much trouble, the location on the west coast was probably one of the best I’ve been to the sandy beach was a dream. I wouldn’t hesitate to return over and over again. Fabulous in every way.…
This was our first time to the Fairmont Royal Pavilion, we have been to Barbados six times and stayed at various 5 star hotels. The Fairmont did not disappoint. The staff were all so welcoming and friendly. The room we had was a suit on the ground floor, it opened up onto the most glorious beach just paradise. The room was large clean and comfortable and housekeeping were lovely. Breakfast was set in the most beautiful building overlooking the ocean, who could ask for more. We had a few lunches at the beach bar, being Gluten Free they were very accommodating and always served up something delicious. We also had a few meals in the restaurant at night and these were equally delicious. From the start of our holiday to the day we left we could not fault it. Can't wait to visit again.…
My wife and I stayed at the Fairmont for five nights in February. From the initial interaction with the staff until we got into our car to return to the airport, I have to say that the staff at the Fairmont was the most pleasant and helpful I’ve ever experienced. I’ve read some reviews that spoke to slow service at the on-premise restaurants to which I’d have to respond while that was sometimes true - the idea is to relax and slow down in Barbados! If you look around, there’s a good chance you’ll see a rainbow. Or a friendly cat at your heel (yes, even the cats are friendly). The quality of food at the restaurants was much better than anticipated. Some reviews spoke to the lobby as being dated or run-down. I don’t think the lobby was much different from any other Caribbean resort lobby I’ve ever seen and it’s not like my first impression was that it’s run-down. If you ever find yourself in Barbados looking for a stress-free environment with top-notch service, I’d suggest you check out the Fairmont.…
I stayed here in December 2022 with my husband and 3 year old and the hotel was perfection. The grounds were stunning, beach incredible (soft sand, clear water, no seaweed), guest room immaculately clean and beautifully appointed, breakfast above and beyond and even better than all that, the most warm and welcoming staff throughout the entire resort!! Everyone we met was so genuinely kind and helpful. The GM Jean-Christophe was lovely, always going out of his way to connect with us and make sure our needs were met. And Laverne from the concierge desk helped a lot while I planned the trip, including arranging for our car rental and transfers to and from the airport with a car seat. I can’t remember all the names, but everyone was wonderful. And the breakfast, between the variety and quality of the food and serene ocean view, was probably my favorite breakfast of all time (and we went every morning, it never got old). The hotel is quite pricey, but they do occasionally run promotions with discounts (I think the one I got was a pay in advance for 25% off room rate). We absolutely want to go back, as soon as next winter - I’m already keeping my eyes open for a promotion :)…
Breakfast and accommodation excellent. The Palms closing on certain days not good. Menu changes at the pool/terrace restaurant seriously needed. Otherwise we will be returning. Very clean and great beach. Many high quality restaurants off the beach within ten minutes.
Outstanding!! Level of service and accommodation is amazing. Rooms are beautiful not huge but very modern. Restaurants are lovely and staff are very attentive. We were all welcomed by the amazing staff in a very friendly manor.
Great beach front location. Very airy room with a nice comfortable balcony and a lovely view. Large comfortable bed with nice linen. The bathroom was fine although there was a chipped and loose tile near the shower. Housekeeping kept the room clean and were friendly. No complimentary drinking water provided so I used a couple of bottles from the mini bar which was a mistake since I was charged a hefty premium for the privilege! Reception staff were friendly and tried to be helpful. requested an early check in but did not get it however, we did get a late check out which was very much appreciated. The restaurant is attractive at the waters edge but the buffet breakfast is a real let down in service and quality. Overcooked, dried food under covers and in a small room. Queue for the egg station meant anything else on the plate was cold by the time the egg was cooked. Chipped cups, no menu and wrong drinks order. More 3 star than 5 star. The bar and attached dining area not comfortable or attractive for spending time, entertainment was poor. The pizza was very nice but high price means you do not consider repeating the experience. This hotel could and should be far far better given the really high price and we probably will go elsewhere next year.…
Let me start with the positives, the hotels beach front location is fabulous and the staff are great, helpful and genuinely friendly. The rooms have been cosmetically improved and are spacious, with fabulous sea views. That said the hotel is eye wateringly expensive and does not deliver the promised 5 star experience. The facilities are tired and need investment, particularly the gym and tennis court. The food and beverage offering is not good enough, the food is good but lacks variety, while the bar is sterile and poorly arranged. The in house entertainment is particularly poor, too loud and succeeds in driving people including us from the bar. This hotel could be so much better given the great location and terrific staff. It still enjoys a strong repeat clientele, but nobody we met during our two week stay felt it delivered a five star experience or was good value for money. …
We had such a wonderful time !! Staff is absolutely lovely, genuinely happy to assist you, and always offering a prompt service. All of them ! our housekeeper, the porter, the gardeners, Keisha and the front office team, staff restaurants, pool staff, bar staff etc etc! Employees are happy to work here, you really feel it as a guest. And that makes your stay unique and fabulous !! Our room was super comfortable with a stunning view and a semi private terrace. The pool is beautiful and quiet (very few kids) Nicole was so nice and helpful Beach is nice, quiet, and super clean. The gym needs a little fresh up + toilets too. But there is enough space and machines to train hard which is great!! Dinner was absolutely delicious at the palm terrace restaurant !! Our waitress Mary Ann was a gem! Teresa at the Tabaros restaurant was lovely and kind! And the chefs come to see you to make sure you are having a good time and everything you need. As well as the General Manager who checks regularly on you and your well-being. Again, incredible team!!! Breakfast was the only little source of disappointment for me but there are 2 reasons for that: 1) guests are 80% British so hotels (all of them) traditional English breakfast (eggs, beans, bacon etc) which I am not used to. (I am French) 2) I am intolerant to eggs, tomatoes, and other foods so my choices were quite limited regarding hot options. The other options (smoked salmon. granola yogurt, fresh fruits, breads, etc) were good. But to be honest I think the food at the 2 restaurants is another level. We enjoyed very much the live bands !! They are all amazing!!! Front desk assisted us to book local restaurants, which was very helpful! A wonderful stay. I wish we can come back !!!…
