Hotel was very clean and staff friendly. Meals varied daily. They were basic, nothing fancy. To lounge on the beach you will have to go elsewhere as the water comes up to the rocks. Low tide we could walk the beach. We were on the 4th floor and the elevator was broken the entire time we were there. Loungers are difficult to get unless you are up by 6:30am.
Stayed at the Butterfly Hotel for 4 days prior to a week's cruise and for 3 days after our cruise in early March 2023. The hotel looking tired but no complaints on the cleanliness. Budget hotel so don't expect any luxuries e.g. shower gel, shampoo etc. The reception staff were very helpful but the bar staff and waiting on staff left a lot to be desired. They were so miserable, there was no interaction with them at all. Food was mediocre, lukewarm food, so ate out most nights. Unfortunately the hotel was a bit too far out from the main area where all the bars and restaurants restaurants are located.
Beautiful location. Friendly & helpful staff. Food was good, as were the cocktails. Our first time at this hotel & we will return! Rooms were comfortable & clean. A short walk to local shops & restaurants.
This was maybe our 6th stay at Butterfly Beach. It’s a decent 3 star hotel with a lovely position by the sea. Rooms are spacious and there are a number of different types. We were room only but they do offer some form of meal plan. Happy hour is very popular with a good selection of drinks on offer. We did notice that the cocktails that used to be on offer , no longer are. As with many hotels, there just aren’t enough sunbeds and unless you got up early , you won’t get one when it’s busy there. We saw many people wandering around mid morning trying to find somewhere to sit. There are a few on the grassed area but I’m sure they could fit more on if they wanted to. There’s just a nice feel about this place. It’s unpretentious but friendly and welcoming and we would happily return should we get to visit the island again.…
Lovely little hotel and ideal for a 1 night stay ahead of a cruise. Not sure I would be happy to be here for a week, as its a bit down market around the hotel. We walked to Oistins for the fish fry which isn't far and also caught the local US$2 buses up and down the road. Room was large and comfortable with a well equipped kitchenette. A large walk in shower but only soap provided - no shampoo, conditioner and body wash, so bring your own. Two pools of good size, and three Jacuzzis and plenty of room to sit on loungers. Great views. The sea comes right up to the rocks at the edge of the restaurant so no beach to sit on - but you can walk out at low tide. We didn't eat at the restaurant but the food looked OK but plain - we enjoyed very nice happy hour cocktails. The staff at reception were lovely and super helpful. There is a small shop that had a small but quality range of dresses and swim wear, with a really friendly lady who was happy for us to take clothes to our hotel to try on. Overall good value for money and a comfortable stopover.…
Stayed for 5 nights at start March. The hotel is well appointed on the beach with lovely views. Lovely breakfast spot over the road and Oistins Fish Fry a short walk away but other than that always needed buses or taxi to get around The rooms are big but dated and a bit tired looking. The cleaner comes in daily but it's a very basic clean in my eyes. The reception staff were so lovely and helpful throughoutour stay in particular Trina (i think i have the right name) The bar staff were okay, although you often felt they were talking about you to each other. They only really made an effort with returning guests- loads of returning guests. Only ate at the restaurant for Bajan night, it was tasty and they had the dishes we'd been wanting to try. We were the youngest staying there and are I'm our 30s and 40, and older returning guest hotel …
We stayed for one night at this hotel in transit. It’s right on the beach and has a nice pool area. The restaurant is ok, it’s location makes up for an average menu and decor. The room was basic but had a nice kitchenette in it that would have been very useful if we’d had a longer stay. The front desk staff were really friendly and helpful.
We had a fantastic time here the rooms are large and well appointed. The staff are really kind especially the Manager Amanda, who went out of her way to help us. The hotel has a wheelchair that you can borrow if like me you have mobility issues. Barbados is not disability friendly the pavements are very uneven and end suddenly. The Bajans are very friendly and always happy to help me on and off busses.
Winner of TripAdvisor 2016 but definitely in my opinion has not vell maintained. I could honestly give a big shout out to Harriet at reservations who took care of all my changes made. thanks for your patience. I was disappointed that I paid 179’for one nite as I booked on line directly instead of 129. if you have a food allergy and health problem forget about taking the meal plan. i took the breakfast being Celiac and diabetic. Food was horrible. same food everyday with a change maybe 1-2. days. greasy fried eggs, greasy hash browns sausage ,bacon and beans fruit. = canned fruits cocktail most days. nasty I asked for GF bread and they gave some but today they had none slow. tips are already included in bill service ,staff unpleasant. only one who was pleasant was Antoinette Bring your own shampoo, soaps as they only supply soap for 1 day. charge for change of beach towels, never heard of this Bedsheets were burning my skin witb the amount of bleach used to wash. The only decent smiley person was Tarisha at front desk Deborah at gift shop was helpful and friendly too I know the price was not expensive but definitely expected a little bit better service and food Definitely would not return to this hotel and would not recommend it …
🦋 Love this little gem of a hotel. Second visit & was welcomed with a large bottle of Prosecco for our anniversary + bottle of rum punch, nice little touch. We stayed room only & used the little kitchenette for breakfast but ate out for all other meals. Very friendly laid back place right on the beach. You can’t beat the Stunning view from the restaurant. Rooms always kept clean & tidy the giant bed was really comfortable too. Debra in the hotel shop sorted us a car hire at a reasonable price. Been home 2 weeks & booked again for November this year. Thankyou butterfly 🦋
