Lovely resort, friendly staff. This is an upmarket marina complex with fantastic sandy beach. The on site restaurant is excellent. Our apartment was equipped with the basics you need to self cater if you wish. All the apartments surround the marina which makes for very nice views!

It was our first trip to Barbados, and we were recommended to stay at Port St Charles as we love the beach. The beach here was AMAZING! Sand was super clean, lots of space, and you never felt like you were near anyone else. The waves were minimal too, so it was great for relaxing or snorkeling. A lot of LARGE yachts seemed to park out in the waters near this area, so it was always cool to see how the rich and famous live (bring binoculars!) Whenever we wanted to go to the beach we would give the front desk a ring and they would make sure an umbrella was up and sun loungers ready for us when we arrived. The beach does have a gated entrance so only residents have access - no strolling "salesmen" like at other Caribbean islands. The water taxi was quick and efficient too - although it wasn't too long of a walk either if we were in the mood. We stayed at a one-bedroom that was spacious and had everything we needed - full kitchen, nice sized bathroom and a great main area. The patio was very nice - we had our own plunge pool, plus nice sun loungers there too. Lots of foliage so you never felt a lack of privacy. We were surprised that we received maid service every day too - many times went you rent a condo you don't have that luxury. The room had its own washer/dryer which was nice, plus a safe. It also had A/C, but to be honest we never turned it on except for at night - the breeze was so beautiful and little to no humidity, so even though it was in the 80's you felt perfectly comfortable. Our room was only a few steps from the pool - that area had nice sun loungers too and the pool was designed so you could do laps or have some private space. We met quite a few nice people on our stay, most from the UK who were spending multiple weeks or months there, and not only was it nice to have someone to chat with, but they gave us great recommendations on food, etc. Port St Charles is about 40 minutes or so from the airport, and if you are not good at driving on the left I would highly recommend arranging for transport. But the rooms do come with a parking space if you do choose to rent a car. We did a lot of small day trips - Welchman Hall Gully, Bathsheba, Holetown, etc. and it was always a reasonable drive and the view is always so fascinating that it seemed to go by in a flash. It is a short walk into Speightstown, which we did several times for groceries or dinner. We really liked this location. A special shout out to the ladies at the front desk - super friendly, and they allowed us to leave our luggage there after check out so that we could go for lunch before leaving for the airport. They also found some snorkeling gear in the lost and found that they lent us for a few days - with it we were able to spot a sea turtle right by the rock cluster on our beach - so cool! I would highly recommend a stay at POrt St Charles - you won't be disappointed.

Fantastic resort with possibly the best beach in Barbados, based on the fact it is deeper than most and is away from road noise. Being in a marina we wondered if the boats would cause any issues but it was very quiet. Boats were coming and going throughout the day but they didn’t cause any disturbance. The apartment was clean and well maintained, the communal areas were kept spotless. The views are truly stunning. The water taxi is a great idea and the driver was friendly, skilled and professional. All staff we met were smartly dressed in uniforms and were exceptionally friendly. The only reason Port St Charles hasn’t been given five stars, is because of cigarette smoke continually affecting us from another apartment. Perhaps we were unfortunate, but to allow smoking in the rooms or on balconies, does not tie in with the high end resort. Barbados banned smoking in public places 10 or more years ago, so we didn’t expect to be affected by this.

We have just returned from staying one amazing month at PSC which is a 5 star resort. The location is fantastic with luxury accommodation, pristine beach and the most helpful, friendly staff. Our apartment overlooked the marina on the second floor and was perfect in every way. Special mention to our wonderful housekeeper Harriot who kept the apartment immaculate. We also must give a big thank you to Steven for his wonderful gesture on our anniversary. When we return to Barbados we defiantly would only consider staying at PSC and have already recommended this to our family and friends. A big thank you to PSC for making our stay so perfect.

Have just returned from an amazing stay in a top floor apartment at PSC, our first visit to this picturesque spot. Luckily we beat the possible rush of vaccinated Brits so mostly had the pool and facilities all to ourselves. After so long in lockdown it we felt so lucky and grateful to be there, but don't think this skewed our opinions - I think the place would hold up as stunning come what may. We had a glorious view looking right across the marina from our breakfast terrace (all apartments have them, but a third floor one may provide a better aspect). The apartment was well appointed with everything we needed, even a washing machine plus attentive housekeeping staff swapping towels and keeping the place spotless. There is a gym, tennis court and restaurant open on some days, plus a gate key gives you direct access to the beach and sun loungers. Don't expect a hotel vibe, this is a quiet, gated compound of about 50 self contained apartments, mostly privately owned but rented out when not being used. So you could do with a car if you want to hit a bit of nightlife or see the sights. But if you want a home from home and a restorative break, with friendly support on hand if needed, you could not find a more idyllic spot

This wasn’t our first trip to this gorgeous spot, we’ve been a few times, just my other half and I and also with our daughters (10) It’s the most perfect Setting! Whether for lunch or dinner or just drinks. It’s waaaay underpriced for what it has to offer! The staff is nothing but nice and helpful. They even helped strange a birthday surprise for my partner and when we got engaged there they were ever so nice and offered us some free bubbly. The Pool is so much fun for the kids and it’s offers changing rooms so you can get in and out of you swimming costume. We always spend the entire day at this location. This place is amazing. The steps leading down to see the sea, the pool bar, the Food, Cocktail.... what is not to Love! Not crowded, nice tranquil, chill out spot to soak in the Bajan magic!

We usually stay here on our annual visit for a week or so, however this year to make up for quarantine time we stayed for nearly 2 weeks. We booked direct which meant that the management took care of arranging our meet and greet, taxi from the airport and our tests the day after we arrived. We felt very secure in our quarantine and pretty sure if we had tried to escape we would have been caught! We had a very comfortable quarantine and the staff regularly called to check we were ok and update on progress of results. They stocked us up with groceries and offered to order takeout for us if required. Our test results took about 32 hours , and then we were free. The facilities at PSC are excellent, you have access to beautiful heywoods beach, a central residents only pool and also the yacht club and pier one restaurant. There are also tennis courts and a gym. The accommodations are varying standards and sizes, generally not luxe but comfortable and furnished with everything you need. We rent a one bedroom ground with small pool. We are booked to go back next year, hopefully everyone will be vaccinated by then!

There doesn't seem to be anywhere on TA to review Pier One which is part of Port St Charles, so I am revieweing it here. My Husband and I visited Pier One whilst on a two week holiday this December just gone. We went on a Saturday evening as it was pizza and prosecco night, and there was live music on. You don't have to be a resident to eat here (I believe you did used to have to be). The restaurant itself was beautiful – they had decorated it so lovely. As there was an offer on we did decide to order pizza and prosecco (I can’t remember the price, but for the West Coast it was a very good deal!). I ordered a pizza with lobster on which was absolutely delicious. Service was nice and friendly and we were adequately socially distanced from other tables. The live music made the atmosphere really fun. Great night and we’d definitely like to return in the future.

Thoroughly enjoyed a lazy lunch here. West Indian curry was super tasty. My husband enjoyed his meal too. Nice ambience and good food. Spot on! Would definitely return as good menu, beautiful location, comfortable seating. Have paid a lot more for other restaurants on island which were all style and no substance. This place delivers on both counts!
