This was my second visit to La Maison - even better than the first superlative time! The standard of cuisine, helpfulness of staff, commitment to local crafts and workers, care for the environment, were even more amazing than before (if that was possible!!). A magical holiday, full of beautiful spiritual dancing - everywhere possible -(in the countryside, by a waterfall,...

My partner and I went to La Maison Anglaise for a sing holiday in November. I was quite dubious as it was my first time in Morocco. We were picked up from the airport, the accommodation was comfortable and clean, the staff wonderful and the food delicious. We were also given the opportunity to go on excursions of all sorts...

The guest house was very comfortable and well maintained by friendly staff. Food was excellent and plentiful and we were often given a choice of what we wanted for our evening meal. Staff organised tours to the mountains and nearby villagers to experience local life. Packed lunches were provided for some of these trips. The guides taking these trips were...

This was a group retreat incorporating yoga and the cultural experiences offered by LM in Taroudant. Everyone on the retreat had a fabulous stay at LM and the staff could not have done enough for us. Lovely hospitality, people and experience.

My third visit to la Maison Anglaise, I was welcomed back by the staff as a friend and felt totally at home. The food is excellent with porrige, nuts, fruit, cheese and bread available for breakfast and wonderful evening meals with tagines both meat and vegetarian, salads, quince and even cauliflower cheese. Lovely desserts of fruit salad, Moroccan biscuits or...

We came as part of a circle dance group, and had a great experience here. The ethos in the house is both very friendly and comfortable, but also imbued with the principles of eco sustainability and supporting the local community. The staff are lovely, and a mine of information about Moroccan life and culture. They arrange very interesting visits to...

My second visit here, bringing a circle dance group, and just as lovely as before. The house is comfortable with spotless comfortable rooms - some ensuite. Lots of wonderful activities can be arranged to give insight into local life - from a visit to the local hammam for local style pampering, to trips to Berber villages in the Atlas Mountains,...

Staying at La Maison Anglaise with the other guests and the staff feels like being part of one big family. We immediately felt welcome. The rooms in the guesthouse are tastefully decorated and comfortable. The food served is delicious. The guesthouse itself is located within the walled city of Taroudant, a lovely town inhabited by friendly and honest locals. During...

Although the place might be a little hard to find (unless you let yourself be lead through Taroudant's small lively streets by a helpful local or you get picked up by the staff), you will feel almost like home in the English House. At least WE did. We had an excellent dinner and a nice, open-minded chat with the staff....
