We stayed her for two nights on an epic.travel (highly recommended) tour of Morocco. For me it was an awesome place to stay. Our room, a suite was very privately situated with private terrace and huge bathroom, all very tastefully decorated with lovely Arian oil products to use. The position and buildings are delightful but it is the gardens that make this place a knockout. Developed over nearly 20 years they’re stunning with hidden corners, two pools and amazing array of cactus. The restaurant and eating areas are also very cute and beautifully lit at night. We found the food ok and that is not to say it was bad, but it just did not fit with our own tastes. The chef is clearly trying to be inventive and sometimes keeping it simple is a better option IMO. The breakfast was a little underwhelming too and on the second day we were clearly served the left over baked goods from the previous day as they were stale. However, this is nitpicking to a degree and can be easily sorted, so it does not lose a point because of it. All in all a wonderful hidden oasis of calm for anyone wanting to check out the charms of Taroudant.

We stayed at Hotel Dar al Hossoun in October 2023 with family (2 adults and 2 children) half board. We had the suite in front of the pool. The stay was perfect! The rooms are beautiful and comfortable, the garden is a haven of peace where one could spend the day observing all the plants and animals, the children enjoyed the pool. The restaurant is excellent, Moroccan cuisine is modern and tasty, the breakfast was plentiful , the staff is really charming, very professional, listening to our every request.
(The little extra at this hotel is the traditional steam room with black soap scrub)
We will return with pleasure during a future stay in Morocco!

I stayed at this facility with my daughter and mother-in-law.
The property is built in local style the rooms are all at ground level and separated from each other.
Set in a large garden with trees from all over the world.
There are 2 swimming pools inserted into the landscape without disturbing it.
The staff is attentive and professional
In the morning when you stand outside the room you can feel nature around you.
If you want to relax the place is ideal.
The restaurant offers fine dining.
I must say I've had Morocco's best spriz so far

How about a December surrounded by orange and lemon trees? I think it sounds magical and it actually was. Dar al Hossoun is one of those places that tries to keep the Moroccan traditions alive and I have really enjoyed my experience on their property. From the gate you see how special this place is when you are greeted by a huge bougainvillea and the most gorgeous peacocks. It is a truly amazing place where you can recharge and relax, but also enjoy the Moroccan cuisine and do some traditional shopping at their little store. The rooms are also super nice and lovely decorated with vintage pieces. Loved the bathrooms, super relaxing and again old and traditional, but completely functional.
Their garden is one of the most amazing I have ever seen and they have managed to grow palm trees, bananas and a lot of cactai in about 8 years. We saw a picture of the place from 2011 and couldn’t believe the garden was almost empty, just few trees were planted here and there and now they have plants that can make shade for hundreds of people.
Loved the place and definitely coming back soon to this amazing oasis!

We have stayed at Dar Hal Houssoun for 3 nights and could not have asked for a better experience.
The rooms are immersed in a fantastic garden designed by two famous architects with more than 900 species of plants. The swimming pool is simply fantastic. Rooms are spacious, well decorated and clean. Staff is extremely helpful and nice. The chef is a super star! Each dish we have tried was simply excellent.
We highly recommend Dar Al Hossoun for anyone who wants to live a very special and memorable experience

Our high hopes for Dar al Hassoun were actually exceeded in this wonderful hotel, hidden behind mud walls a few miles from Taroudant. It is a magical place, with characterful rooms and suites scattered across interconnected gardens full of trees and cactus sourced from far and wide. Alongside the larger pool is a comfortable lounge area serving snacks and pre-dinner drinks. The food was delicious. Everything worked, from the hot showers to the air conditioning and blackout curtains to the free wi-fi. The staff were unfailingly smiling and helpful. The continuous birdsong was interrupted by the cries of the peacocks and the greetings from the happy cats.

I cannot find the words to describe the tranquility and beauty of Dar Al Hassoun, the vegetation, birdsong, the simplicity of its design and the calming natural colours. Although not far from town, we went there to escape from the world.
As as a family with a toddler, it was heaven. Walking and playing in the beautiful gardens, following mother peacock and her babies, playing with cats, dogs and watching the turtle, birds and beetles. Time slowed down.
The weather did not get too sunny and hot, which is unusual for this time of year, so unfortunately the pool was a bit chilly at 21-22 degrees, still we swam and played in the breathtaking, irresistible pool.
Meals are delicious, fresh and nutritious. The seafood was particularly good, we also tried the steak and tagine where the meat was so soft, and the pasta was also excellent. Our toddler was treated like a queen and the kitchen staff made her hand cut crisps, from scratch, served warm and so tasty we cant believe we only discovered it on the last day.
All the staff were warm welcoming, gracious. Especilly Fawzia, Marouane are brilliant. Nothing was too much trouble for Yassine and he was genuinely a star. The staff must be very valuable to them and we felt very much a home.

I am passionately enthusiastic about this amazing property. The gardens are simply OUT OF THIS WORLD. With the lovely lodging structures and common spaces integrated into this garden paradise, it is a visual feast wherever you look. There is an actual sunken garden more than one story deep. The staff is attentive but not intrusive. What can i say, even the breezes feel as if your skin is getting kissed! I have been all over the world and this place beats everywhere. sidebar: we had a small plumbing issue and as the hotel was not fully booked we were upgraded and moved at no charge to a palatial suite. But that's not why I love it so much. it was my third visit and I will go every year!
