Exquisite palace well renovated in sympathetic style. I celebrated a big birthday by inviting a collection of old friends and we had a wonderful week. Touria the housekeeper is marvellous and the food was so good that we didn't bother to go out to restaurants. The rooms are beautiful - some have open fireplaces and it is worth the extra small charge to have them all lit every evening. A short stroll into the souk which is very relaxed. Taroudant is a jewel and Palais des Sables is its Koh-i-Noor diamond! I will definitely return.
A stay at Le palais des Sables isn't just a nice holiday.. It's a relaxation bubble where the only thing you have to care about is making sure you put some sunscreen before you go sunbathe or take a swim. As an artist, I had lots of work to do during my stay and I must say I've never been so productive and motivated for a project..did more than 100 boards in only 3 days! I was relaxed, I didn't feel any pressure...I basically forgot about society and real life for a few days; magic! The whole palace is so spacious that there are always a few comfortable quiet corners available for you to introvert, if like me you need your alone-time. But there is also peaceful common aeras where you can interact with your friends/family or the lovely Moroccan staff. And before you even think of saying "I feel kinda thirsty"; a fresh home-pressed orange juice or a traditional warm mint tea is brought to you. Before you even think of saying "I feel kinda hungry"; a variety of healthy salads or a delicious Coucous Royal is served on the dinner table. It's luxury without all the unnecessary bullsh**; it's a hotel that makes you feel more at home than your actual house. A beautiful palace lost in the desert that allows you to really breath and relax. Inspiration guaranteed that'll give you a fresh boost to keep going on with life.…
We had the most fantastic stay at Le Palais des Sables. Great value experience with regenerating sun in the middle of the Winter. Taroudant is magical places where you appreciate the gentle pleasures of life, different and way more relaxing than trendy Marrakech. The Palais des Sables is perfect for families. You can enjoy the heated swimming pool most of the day (incredible in December) and at night you can just chill out by the fireplace. Sunsets on the snow-capped peaks of the Atlas Mountains with the city walls as the background are special. The staff is wonderful and the food fantastic, making the most of the local delicacies (We had the best couscous ever ). Make sure you pay a visit to the local Souk for spices and carpets.
