Getting there
Somewhat walkable
Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travelers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.
The complex consists of 2 hotels in the Neptun Group (Paradise and Village), which practically merge into one another. Both can be used by all guests without restrictions. Our room was comfortable and furnished in a typical local style. The staff was extremely attentive and friendly. There was always a friendly Jambo! and a smile. A problem with our safe was resolved within a few minutes. The food was consistently very good. Despite being at full capacity, there were no queues at the buffet or waiting times because all the tables were occupied. In our experience, this was completely untypical for an all-inclusive offer. There are enough deck chairs. Because of the many palm trees, everyone can find a place in the shade. On the subject of beach boys: Yes, they are there and sometimes there are a lot of them. That is simply their only way of earning an income. Whether someone wants to buy or book something there is something everyone has to decide for themselves. We had consistently positive encounters and learned and laughed a lot. If you want privacy and communicate that openly, you get a "Jambo" or a wave from a distance. By the way, many of them also speak extremely good German.
Before we arrived, we had already booked a 2-day private safari through Tsavo East on the recommendation of Julius from JT Safari (100 m diagonally opposite the hotel). After we contacted him by email, we had an extremely competent exchange in which our wishes were 100% met. After arriving at the hotel, we met in person at Julius' office on the second day to discuss the exact procedure. At Julius' express request, we only paid a deposit. During the safari, we were not treated to mass processing in fully occupied SUVs, as we would have been when booking through a travel agency or on site with the tour operator. On top of that, compared to other vehicles we had seen, we had a modern, very well-maintained SUV with a German-speaking driver. The lodge we chose was exactly as advertised. In terms of price, we got an absolutely fair rate compared to the other offers. The remaining payment was made after a short debriefing the day after we returned to the hotel. Julius is very concerned about the satisfaction of his customers and therefore asks for honest feedback. We were (and still are) more than impressed by the way the trip was handled and of course by the impressions we had. We communicated this. That is why we have a lot of praise for it and would definitely recommend it!
All in all, the holiday was pure relaxation.

Very nice hotel complex with super nice little bungalows with 4 residential units. The hotel complex is very nicely laid out, not very big and very quiet. The entertainment takes place in the neighboring hotel Neptune Village. The employees always make a great effort to ensure good communication (German skills are sufficient). The trip to the hotel takes about 1.5 hours, as the ferry still has to be used. The bridge is finished, but not yet opened. But that's not a problem, here you get your first impressions of the country and its people.
Very nice rooms with everything you need (safe, refrigerator, kettle, etc.) We slept very well. The rooms were cleaned daily and there were no complaints. Everything is very clean and tidy. All of the residential units are currently being gradually renovated.
The food selection in the restaurant is sufficient and very tasty. All of the service staff are very motivated and always have a warm Jambo on their lips. The service is unique.
In the surrounding area you can visit and feed the bush babies and a trip to Heiner's Shelter waterfall in the Shimba Hills is also very nice and recommended. You can also book this with JT Safaris.
We also booked and went on a 3-day safari in Tsavo East and West through JT Safaris. We arranged the safari in advance via WhatsApp with Julius (JT Safaris - diagonally opposite the Neptune Hotels on the other side of the road). A private safari and a German-speaking driver/guide were important to us. Julius fulfilled all of our wishes (camps, safari tour, etc.). The advice is highly professional and you feel like you are in really good hands. You can tell that Julius wants to make the safari perfect for us.
Our driver/guide - Rama - then made the safari unforgettable for us. There was a lot of information about the country and the people as well as all of the wildlife in the national parks. Rama did everything to enable us to see the wildlife we wanted and we were able to see Kilimanjaro at the end. All in all, a successful holiday and a superbly organized safari through JT Safaris-Kenya. Thanks again to Julius and Rama.

It is a very pretty complex, everything is clean and tidy. The gardeners are very busy and one of them caught our attention with his very, very friendly manner. The rooms are very spacious and those who live upstairs can see a bit of the sea. There were problems with the water when flushing and one morning there was no water in the bathroom at all. The safe didn't always work the way we wanted it to. The food was very good, very Indian, everything was always covered and the service was great. We particularly liked Sue, with her always good mood. And Onesmus, Anthony and Simba were always there for us. Unfortunately, there were no soft drinks for the last three days; they would have been stuck in Mombasa. The pool is very nice. It has several areas and a pool bar. Ali took great care of the loungers and towels. On Tuesdays the Masais set up their "stands" around the pool and talk to everyone. That was a bit annoying because they are on the beach too. In general there are a lot of "beach boys" - yes, at some point you get fed up with them, but they were all very nice and it wasn't just sales talks. There is sports entertainment. Entertainment and a kids club are in the neighboring Neptun Village, which you also have access to.
There is a high and low tide and the water is unfortunately not clear due to the swirling sand and is also quite shallow for long periods. You can walk on the beach forever.
It was a very nice stay and a big thank you to everyone who spoiled us.

The Neptune Paradise has a lovely beach front with plenty of loungers. Having the loungers on a lawn built up on a sea wall off the beach have a great view and some separation from the buskers who hang out of the beach. Plenty of beach to walk, particularly when the tide is lower. The pools were also nice, and always kept very clean. All of the facilities were kept very clean. Service and food were excellent throughout our stay. We dined at the buffet, snack bar, and al La carte restaurant and we’re very happy with the options and quality of food at each. We also visited the spa and enjoyed our experience - excellent massages and sauna, though the whirlpools were out of service.
Do note that the hot water tank is based on a solar panel. If it’s a very cloudy or rainy day, your shower might be cold as well. We found that our shower water was warmer if we showered earlier in the afternoon as opposed to right before dinner.
Two places where the resort could improve: 1. The check in process was excessively long - it took 45 minutes from arrival to be led to our room. All we had to do was fill out a guest registration form, receive wrist bands, and learn that the wrist bands granted us access to the all inclusive features. Reception kept walking away and getting on the phone leaving several groups of guests just waiting around for him. 2. Mattress on bed was worn down and sunken.

Fine Resort, good rooms, very nice spacious shower with good shower head, you do wake up with monkeys, very cute, no food! Everything is very clean, they run all day to clean, food is often grafted on Native American flavors, there is even sushi (veg) , there are enough beach beds and staff is very friendly. I did a relax muscle massage at Susie, fantastic good!In short, had a wonderful holiday, until 1 day before we left a large group of Poles came.....they have been drinking and making noise all day, so that they sit disrespectfully at the table at dinner and want to drink even more, unfortunately. But without those busy Poles it is very sure to hold out.....I think the staff is not waiting for that either. Outside the Resort you can take tuk tuk or taxi, but good haggle! to shopping center with authentic stalls with African souvenirs (also haggle), but in the evening I would not go outside the Resort. Fifteen minutes walk on the beach, you come across a fantastic beach bar, with good (ice) coffee and good food with a cozy vibe. If you want to eat something special you have to eat at the Cave, you arrange that through the reception of the hotel, and you will be picked up and brought, fantastic ambiance, the restaurant is in a cave and you can look into the open starry sky! And of course no Africa without safari.... we did a 2-day safari from Tui arranged, great, and the overnight stay is also special, with elephants walking under your lodge. The temperature is around 29 degrees every day with very occasionally a small shower, may not have a name.

If you want the atmosphere of a Turkish all-inclusive place with exactly this Eastern European clientele, then you've come to the right place. The hotel is run down and has probably seen better days. The rooms are old and the bathroom and toilet area is not separated from the room! Everything you do there, your companion in the room can hear and smell too. Terrible. The food at the buffet is nothing special and the same every day. We often went to the "Village" restaurant next door because there was more choice there. The worst thing, however, are the predominantly Polish and Russian guests who loudly take over the pool bar and the entire pool complex from 10 a.m. onwards. Their children scream throughout the complex and no other tourist wants to swim in the pool. The peace and quiet on the lawn is also gone when these Polish people show up with their loud conversations. We will never come back and can absolutely not recommend this 3-tiered resort to anyone.

Just returned from a week in this resort.... arrival on Christmas Day at night departure on January 1 late evening.... very nice and well-kept location (we are in Africa!!!)... common areas always in order, beautiful lawn several plants but few flowers.... very well maintained and spotless rooms, comfortable and working... very nice sea, tide effect and seaweed quite evident but wide beach, very long and very white.... warm and clean sea water... very kind, friendly and affectionate staff but above all professional (we were one evening at dinner in the adjacent village neptune village and we immediately noticed the difference, incompetent, cheeky and listless staff.... a big difference) good food, simple with not much variety so much is that we thought we would eat more fish instead only one quality per day.... lots of delicious fruit.... varied breakfast and unlimited drinking. For the New Year's Eve dinner they worked a lot.... they set up in the garden built structures x dance and have fun, buffet really worthy of praise.... joelle (the general manager of the structure) speaks a perfect Italian and welcomed and assisted us until the last day in a special and loving way.... if I have to make a note I would recommend reviewing the checkout because the customer's treatment must end when he leaves the structure and not with breakfast.... ( we had the flight at 22.00 but until 18 we will not have teansfer).... thanks joelle you made the difference..... with affection and esteem.... ethel and alberto from Italy❤

Excellent hotel! Great location and great view next to the Indian Ocean! It was very positive that everything was included in the price so I had the opportunity to satisfy all my needs. I really liked the environment with the traditional rooms that looked like huts, but inside they were very comfortable! Various little monkeys were roaming around. It had many amenities, swimming pools, sauna, massage, (of course you paid for this), a bar with very good foreign music, a rich buffet and a good Italian restaurant. The only negative was that the TV was not working, but it was being repaired.

There's nothing paradise here! We had a big group and booked for conference too. We were told they would split the group as they had overbooked the rooms. We paid for a conference room but were given a tent next to the pool. A number of us had dirty linen. The beds smelled urine. Very filthy bedding. Customer service is zero! No value for money. If you decide to book this property please check your bedding otherwise you will regret your stay.

The staff and management were so welcoming and hospitable. The property has 3 hotels and we stayed at Paradise. We had easy access to the pool, beach, and restaurant. One member of our family is a wheelchair user and they put ramps in the lobby and into our room. The pool at the Palm was easier for us to access, so that’s the one we used. The spa was lovely and they took such good care of us. A highlight was the delicious food at the buffet and the restaurants. We enjoyed the Italian and Indian restaurants. All the food everywhere was so flavourful and fresh. We enjoyed the evening entertainment and walks along the beach. There was always someone around to help us get down the few steps to the beach. The beds and rooms were clean and comfortable. There were lots of monkeys that entertained us, but always remember never to feed them. Overall, we had such a wonderful time there!

We used our travel agent and they made arrangements to the hotel from Mombasa and back. it cost us 10K. but you an get a taxi to take you, I'd imagine it would be way cheaper and if he (taxi driver) is cool, he can pick you the day you'd want to leave
