With the lousy booking process from the onset, check-in was even more depressing. If it wasn't for the Rotary DCA conference I would not have stayed here. The management staff was aloof only seen walking around talking on their phones even when we tried to bring to their attention the lack of service/waiters in the dining room.
I visited for a conference in May, and compared to other hotels in Mombasa and Diani that I have stayed in, the service was not up to the standards. First of all, my phone extension in the room was not working, and I kept reporting everyday for 4 days, but no action was taken. Secondly, the plumbing was not good; you had to flush 3 - 4 times for everything to go. The other issue is flies at the restaurant. This hotel needs to get a solution for flies. When I mentioned it to the waiter, he said it's normal because of the heat - but it's not. I have stayed at other hotels in the region and there were no flies. Find out what others do to get rid of flies. Finally, service at the reception could be improved. When I arrived, I had to beg at the gate to be let in, despite having an accommodation voucher. During my stay, I found the staff at the reception quite rude. When you speak to someone and they do not respond, but instead go about their business like you are not there, that is rudeness, nothing else. I don't think I would want to come back here, and I would definitely not recommend it to any one.…
My stay was great. Location is very perfect.. Staff not bad but I think management needs to pull up their socks. Food not bad...not perfect but still not bad . The beach is not bad as well but the resort is so far. The staff try their best to be friendly. But honestly management pull up your socks. Otherwise very great, rooms beautiful. Service a little slow. However,I'd still go back
Leaky rooms! RUDE staff- asked for room reassignment-Staff didn't want to change. Took ~2hrs to get resolution, and only after showing proof of pool of water formed. From attached picture, you can see cracked ceiling with droplets dripping. Room was leaking before it was assigned, but they assigned it anyway. Diner is filthy/ house flies in the menu. Cannot enjoy meals due to constant 'war' with flies- watch your food otherwise you will ingest house flies
We spent a couple of nights at Neptune village at Diani with my wife and 3 children. The welcome was very good. We arrived at about 2pm and the gentleman at reception advised us to go for lunch before checking in as they serve until 3pm. This was considerate as we had hungry children! He took us to the restaurant. Thereafter, it was a story of misery for 3 straight days. We came back to reception and were kept waiting for 3 hours. When we finally checked in, the sockets in one of the two rooms were not working and they did not repair them despite promising to do so. One room not hot water at first, and then had no running water at all, although in fairness they fixed this. We had only 4 towels between 5 people and despite asking for more, we got nothing. Drinking water in the rooms was not replaced. On our last day, we had to check out at 12, which is fine, but they would not serve us lunch before our long journey back to Nairobi. We did try to make the best of our holiday and the kids enjoyed swimming in the sunshine. The pools are great and the service at the bar was good, with very pleasant waiters.…
good pool and nice beach, fairly good food-range,variety and taste some rooms run down Front office and management pathetic. although check in is at 12 pm,we finally got a room at 4 pm after much bargaining, threatening, complaining etc. It seems front desk was least bothered. Housekeeping never responded to our requests. Often times, the phones to front desk and housekeeping went unanswered and finally when picked, they did not seem bothered and did not act. Horrible experience at check out too. no coordination between account ,front desk and management would i go there again- i dont think so!!!
the property is huge, the all inclusive (icluding drinks) deal is great, the beach is really extraordinary and so is their pool and spa. Afraid the rooms are very old and run down, the first room we checked in the toilet didnt flush. they are not very high on cleanliness either. table covers in the dining area were not changed between sittings. The management is also not accomodating..we had requested late checkout even before booking. They never informed that it wont be possible, made us check out 8 am saying they had back to back bookings; promising shower facilities once we finished and actually let us then use the same room for the shower etc !!!. Clearly there were no bookings and they just didnt want to be helpful. we didnt get any lunch or snacks or anything the day we checked in very late at around 7 pm but they were adamant not to let us have that the last day in lieu.…
Neptune Village was a dream, and then some more. My family and I stayed here for a few days, and we loved everything. The rooms were exquisite. The restaurant gave us a variety of sumptuous meals, catering for even our 4-year-old and 7-year-old fussy feeders. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. We had so much to choose from with the many swimming pools and kid's play area. We totally loved the dinner experience, which was something out of a travel magazine! We highly recommend it, and we'll definitely be going back 1
Amazing room in quiet place, very peaceful Amazing and helpful staff Amazing selection of food Appreciated that there was WiFi Great AirCon that you can moderate on your own Awesome place for solo trip, couples or groups Nice pool Awesome beach front As part of a trio hotel complex, I did not feel like I was missing out on anything. As a solo traveler I appreciated all the help i got form all the people who worked there, never really felt alone.
The hotel was amazing ,the food was just delicious especially snacks from the Indian restaurant, the staffs were so friendly, but the room was not that good to our expectations ,the animation shows was so great. Last thanks to Stephen the pool barman and John they really made us fantastic cocktails everyday. Even if they are busy the content of the cocktails always remains the same, compared to the other bars.we love neptune and we promised to come again.
