This hotel is situated in beautiful surroundings and has beautiful landscaping. We had a nice suite (a bit dated, but clean) with a sea view just beside to swimming pool. The negative thing about the room was that the patio was very near the pathway and people were passing it very close. That didn’t bother so much now, because the place was quite empty, but it might bother if you search for privacy and the hotel is full. Also it was a bit annoying to wake up every morning because of the cleaner upstairs. You are on a holiday and want to wake up when you like. The cleaner didn’t care about the noise he/she caused at all! I might choose upstairs room next time…The pool would be too small, if the hotel was full. Luckily the sea is in a few steps away from the resort, and it is reachable most of the time in the day (low tide/high tide). There are plenty of space to relax in the area though and the sun loungers and chairs are scattered widely, so you don’t have to be near anybody, if you don’t want to. I am afraid the drinks at the pool bar were not so great (like they were in Serena Nairobi), although the bartender was friendly. The staff was usually very attentive, although in the restaurant there were a few staff members who were not very service minded, and they let it also to show to the customers. The food in the restaurant was delicious. The breakfast was good, although you had to wait for your coffee every morning. The strange thing was that you had to sign the real bill every time when you had a breakfast and dinner. It didn’t feel right, as they were already included in the room price, so check your bill before you leave – in our bill there were two breakfasts charged, so had to change that. I would also suggest you to have a quick visit to the “butterfly park” in the parking lot (belongs to the hotel). There are two lovey guys who are devoted to take care of it and all the other plants as well. They’ll give you a nice small tour with a lot of information. Overall we had a very relaxing stay at this hotel and would definitely consider to visit it again. …

Well, It's a good hotel. When I reached to hotel, the staffs from hotel welcomed us nicely. The receptionist, Huyen, is friendly and sweet. Elevators were ready and great and have a large space in each. The rooms were neat and tidy. We stayed 2days and had a great experience.

Our stay at Serena Beach Resort in Mombasa was absolutely amazing. The room was spacious, clean, and beautiful with a fantastic ocean view. The food was delicious, and the service was top-notch. The resort's direct access to the beach made it even more special. I would like to extend a special thanks to Wilson (manager) and Mr. Johnson (our driver) who made our stay even more enjoyable. Thank you for an unforgettable experience. Hopefully, we'll see you again soon :)

We were in Room 30 which was really a suite with 2 rooms and a veranda right by the pool, overlooking the sea and close to reception. The room was clean, well appointed and really comfortable. The food was good and the location right on the Indian Ocean was excellent. BUT the best thing about Serena Beach is the staff. They couldn’t have been more helpful, more pleasant or more fun. They made a good hotel great.

We stayed at this hotel for nine nights during the New Year holiday. The hotel is beautiful and well-maintained, the gardens are fabulous and the beach stunning. Most importantly, the staff couldn’t be frendlier and more helpful. Maurice showed us the beautiful butterfly park and tried to spot a bushbaby for us. Refreshing drinks and exquisite food were served by competent and smiling staff. Iddi made awesome Arabic coffee. Front desk staff were always ready to help us with all questions. We felt well looked after by Bessie the driver who took us to Mombasa Old Town and to the airport. Thank you all for making our holiday memorable; we can’t wait to come back.

I spent two weeks with my family of 6 over Xmas and New Year. What a magical time we all had. The resort is beautiful, the hotel is very well appointed with fabulous Kenyan wooden doors and beams. The food was wonderful and copious and the party on New Years Eve was the best one I have ever been to. Sitting outside under the stars, listening to live music. There was great entertainment at night ( we particularly liked the Karaoke nights! The staff are so kind and polite and our room boys Michael and Peter were exceptional. The pool bar is great and such a nice place to relax, sitting in the pool sipping a cocktail. I can't recommend this hotel enough. If you want winter sun, you can't go wrong with the equator, if you want a fabulous hotel that is great value for money, look no further.…

We have just spent 12 days at Serena Beach Resort and Spa. It has been paradise. Everywhere you look is palm trees, blue ocean, an amazing pool area and fantastic gardens. Oh and the gym 👊 The staff can not do enough for you. Everyone is so friendly. From John who kept us cool with drinks from the pool bar, to Felix who looked after us around the pool not wanting for anything, Michael who kept our room sparkling each day, the numerous staff in the restaurant and the amazing bar man in Nyoti Bar who makes a mean pina colada. Thank you. We had such a great relaxing time. The food was AMAZING and my husband had fish every day. He was in his element. Thank you Serena Beach. We will be back 😍

I went back to Serena hotel this October, 7years after my first time there and everything was fantastic again. The ambiance, the food, the cleanliness, and most importantly the customer service. My husband and I felt at home and with an infant, it was just the best hotel to be. Chef James(Sokoni restaurant) looked after our baby's food. Francis (Fountain restaurant) always checked on us to make sure we were all fine. Peter(house keeping) made sure our room was sparkling clean. Thank you to the entire staff of Serena. We shall come back.

Fantastic stay , place has maintained its standards special thanks to Joyce for looking after our baby needs and Khadija for preparing a specially requested breakfast. dinner buffet was always good although i miss the sit down plated dinners.
