Detailed Reviews
It is a nice hotel. The rooms are average, clean. The inside of the hotel needs a bit of renovation. The staff is friendly but sometimes a bit unorganized. They offer breakfast - because of corona virus you get 3 options and you decide one day earlier which one of them you want. You can also get dinner in the hotel restaurant. They also offer renting a bike or electric scooter. You can rent them for the whole day or only half. The location is 2,5km out of Bled but you can go there easily (tales about 20 minutes) by bike or e-scooter.

Hotel Ribno is the first 'zerowaste' hotel in Slovenia, and this is a feature they proudly stand behind. This sustainable approach is clearly reflected in both the design of the hotel and the rooms, where natural materials such as wood have been used extensively.
This approach creates rooms with character, while comfort is certainly not forgotten. The employees are extremely friendly and ready to help when needed. The hotel offers secure WiFi for guests, which is certainly a plus.
The (evening) meals are offered buffet-style, as is breakfast in the morning. What is striking is that all the food is fresh and homemade, and you can clearly taste that in the flavors.
Located in a beautiful wooded area, the hotel offers a wonderful view from the balcony of your room. In addition to their pride in sustainability, they also attach great importance to waste separation. It's a small gesture that not only helps support their mission, but also contributes to overall environmental awareness.
The versatility of the staff is worth mentioning as they speak several languages. This is extremely useful for guests who do not speak Slovenian.
I can definitely recommend Hotel Ribno to anyone who wants to explore this area. It is not only a place to spend the night, but also a way to experience a sustainable and tasteful stay.

Pros: The Inn is beautiful, dressed in wood everywhere. It is well located, a few minutes from Bled by car. The rooms are not very large but they are beautiful and comfortable. The evening and morning buffets are good and quite varied. Cons: the beds were not made on arrival, very surprising for a 4 Star Pension... The cleanliness of the rooms was not perfect (large cobwebs under the desk for example) and the hand soap remained empty for 3 days... The staff, with a few exceptions, were not very friendly. The evening buffet was accessible to residents of the resort's Glamping, so it was impossible to have a table for dinner during peak hours, you had to wait an hour and a half after opening...
In conclusion, a good stay but a number of points to improve to justify the 4 Star Ranking.
Being concerned with ecology is good, but it does not compensate for the negative points noted.

We stumbled upon this beautiful hotel on our way to Germany from Croatia, while looking for a stop-over. This hotel warrants more than just a one night stay. The renovations seem to be complete and the rooms we had were outstanding : very comfortable beds, nice bathrooms with great walk-in showers all very tastefully decorated. Breakfast and dinner were of a very good standard with a good selection from a choice of preset meals (buffets not available due to Corona restrictions). Unfortunately it rained during our stay, so we couldn’t enjoy the beautiful terrace. The hotel is in a quiet natural setting, has a strong “eco” concept and offers EV charging. We hope to return one day.

We stayed in this hotel in the month of August for a week, good food, plentiful excellent breakfast, excellent room if it weren't for the television than for having it in Italian, (after excursions while you give yourself a rest in case you would like to know what is happening in your country ), it took us 3 days as we immediately reported the matter to the reception but the person who checked said that if you put the Italian language on you wouldn't be able to see the TV, after 3 days we saw a technician who fixed the TV 1 channel was only visible at times while the other 2 channels in Italian were not visible, however it wasn't basic but it was nice. The sore point was the reception, in the reservation it was written that they spoke your language (not everyone knows English) but we found a person who spoke Italian when we arrived and when we left for the rest either you knew English or you had to make do, not even Spanish or French, languages spoken by me, no indications for possible excursions, there is a free bus about 1 km from the hotel and the only thing they gave us was the sheet with the times of passage I had the The impression that asking for information was almost annoying, however we made do, the brochures in the hotel regarding the excursions were strictly in Slovenian German English and only on the penultimate day did we find a brochure in Italian. I think that being a hotel where the Italian presence was very high (at least in our week) they should be organized better. the only unpleasant situation otherwise ok we did our excursions to the best of our ability it is a beautiful place surrounded by nature with zero impact they are very careful not to pollute and this is a commendable place for bicycle lovers and for tracking parking lots in Bled are scarce and very expensive as they are managed by private individuals who rent stations for 25 euros for 4 hours, in the paid ones in the blue lines you can stay for a maximum of 2 hours and this becomes a problem if you have to leave for many hours.

An eco hotel run by a family and a group of great employees. The breakfast was great. the location was about a five minute drive or thirty minute walk from bled with lots of trails and walks in the area. The staff was lovely, attentive and warm.
The only drawback is that the rooms are quite small.

Charming hotel about 2.5 km from Lake Bled surrounded by nature. Arrived at 15, we asked to be able to have dinner at the hotel and the receptionist told us that dinner cost 20 euros per person, but at check out we were charged 24 euros per person saying that we had misunderstood. Vabbè. Booking.com booking says "Includes taxes and fees" but we had to pay 6.26 euros tourist tax because they were sure that the tourist tax in Booking bookings is never included. I have opened a complaint on Booking. Finally, HALF A LITRE of bulk wine 14.50 euros: as if we were in Tuscany! To get to the lake on foot you have to walk more than 2 km, so we asked to be able to rent bicycles and they wanted 19 euros for 2 hours! We just stayed in Valencia and spent 10 euros for the whole day. In general, we found Slovenia very expensive, they treat tourists like cows to milk. Stay in Italy we have much, but much more to see and do.

If you want a bit of piece and quiet don't come here at present. There are some very noisy children who seem to have no parents/guardians with them and it is only a matter of time until an accident happens. The management at the hotel have been told and have spoken to the party leader!
It feels that those responsible for the children are on holiday!!! Such a shame as it spoils the holiday for everyone else.

+1
This is an exceptional hotel, not only in terms of its setting, the exterior and interior decoration, but also the service provided and the kindness of the staff. What else can clients ask for? This is a zero-waste type of hotel, which is particularly meaningful nowadays. The details of the room decoration had me always drawn to them ... I simply couldn' t help looking at them and wonder who was behind such simple and stunningly creative decorative approach.

The location of the hotel is perfect, you can visit the lake of Bled, Postojna cave, Predjama castle, Vintgar strait. The hotel is very attractive outside and inside as well, their aim is 'no waste'. They have wellness part as well, you can go to the sauna or jacuzzi. The foods in the restaurant is very delicious, I offer half board.
