Rooms extremely dated, food very mediocre and staff very unhelpful and slow. Very expensive for what you get. Also situation far out from Bled so if you don’t have a car then it is a 30+ minute walk as there was no other public transport. Looks nice from outside though
It is a nice hotel. The rooms are average, clean. The inside of the hotel needs a bit of renovation. The staff is friendly but sometimes a bit unorganized. They offer breakfast - because of corona virus you get 3 options and you decide one day earlier which one of them you want. You can also get dinner in the hotel restaurant. They also offer renting a bike or electric scooter. You can rent them for the whole day or only half. The location is 2,5km out of Bled but you can go there easily (tales about 20 minutes) by bike or e-scooter.
We stumbled upon this beautiful hotel on our way to Germany from Croatia, while looking for a stop-over. This hotel warrants more than just a one night stay. The renovations seem to be complete and the rooms we had were outstanding : very comfortable beds, nice bathrooms with great walk-in showers all very tastefully decorated. Breakfast and dinner were of a very good standard with a good selection from a choice of preset meals (buffets not available due to Corona restrictions). Unfortunately it rained during our stay, so we couldn’t enjoy the beautiful terrace. The hotel is in a quiet natural setting, has a strong “eco” concept and offers EV charging. We hope to return one day.
It may have been the time of year, it may have been the hotel construction, but a central circular corridor with rooms leading off, is a great race track for young children. With the wooden construction echoing the screaming & running, it certainly ain't quiet. The management despite having been informed of the problem by several different people, did nothing. No real atmosphere in the place. The food was both repetitive & bland. By the Thursday evening meal I thought that the quality could not get anymore mediocre. Proved wrong on Friday. Great pity because the hotel is in a great location, with plenty of Black Squirrels around.
If you want a bit of piece and quiet don't come here at present. There are some very noisy children who seem to have no parents/guardians with them and it is only a matter of time until an accident happens. The management at the hotel have been told and have spoken to the party leader! It feels that those responsible for the children are on holiday!!! Such a shame as it spoils the holiday for everyone else.
Beautiful hotel, and amazing staff. I enjoyed my stay and this is the place that I would highly recommend. The cleanliness of the hotel is excellent. I don't know who the chef is but he is some kind of a magician.
I loved this hotel. Yes, the room is a trip back to the 80s, but the bed was comfortable, the room and the bathroom was clean, it's peaceful and the surroundings are fable - like. Dinner and breakfast was included, the food was more than enough and delicious. Lactose free diet is not a problem, staff is professional and kind. Loved their zero waste concept, such a shame that some guest were not able to understand that beer cans are not bio waste... My car was also safe there, enough parking places for everyone.
We were a large coach tour group of 44, stayed here as a overnight option this hotel is more suitable for campers,hikers..... outdated rooms very ancient in need for renovation. The beds were comfortable and firm. Food at the buffet was okay and edible, nice selection. View from the back patio was beautiful and serene. Hotel is located in the forest, gives you a very quiet and peaceful sleep. If this hotel renovates it will be a true 4 star. Restrooms in the basement stay away its dark and again in need of some TLC. if you are on a budget and needs someplace to stay after or before visiting Lake Bled it would be a economical choice. Happy Travels
Very nice room with great breakfast in a beautiful setting, conveniently near Lake Bled and other major roadways to Ljubljana and the Julian Alps driving tour described in Rick Steves' travel book. Tip: parking at Lake Bled is extremely annoying because there aren't nearly enough spaces, and the maximum time is too short (2 hours) to provide much freedom. Hotel Ribno offers a shuttle, and we made the mistake of thinking we could drive and park on our own just as well. Take the shuttle.
We stayed here for two nights at the start of week's cycling holiday through the Julian Alps of Slovenia. It was a nice start to our holiday, on the whole the staff friendly and attentive with the exception of one waitress who was less than friendly which let her team down. The rooms were comfortable albeit in need of a little refurbishment. The food and wines good and the dinner buffet had a good variety of dishes.
