We spend two nights in the Chalets and had a wonderful time. The chalets were clean and beautiful. We wanted to visit Sossusvlei and they gave us all the information you need. It's an 1 hour drive and since we wanted to be at 6.30am at the gate of Sossusvlei we left very early at 5.30am in the morning. The... More

When your job is your passion, it shows! this is clear from the Steyn's in Tsauchab River Camp. We enjoyed the private campsites, uniquely built ablution and absolute silence that it offers. Beautiful pool with a lush green lawn comes as a surprise in this part of Namibia. Nice 4x4 route and hiking trails. Best of all - taking a... More

We visited Tsauchab River Camp during a recent family vacation. It was one of our last stops after 2 weeks of camping all over Namibia. We had decided on the venue initially, based on the private nature of the campsites. Little did we know that we would be treated to the very special Shrike site. Situated at the very end... More

Private shade, water, trees, incredible find in the desert as well as clean bathrooms and wash up facilities. One of the better campsites in the south of Namibia. The long winter nights created its own adventure; incredible scorpions courtesy of our UV torch and amazing star trail photos. There are campsites and chalets. You can self-cater or have a meal &... More

Now this was a surprise package. We only slept over on route to Swakopmund and as with most of the south of Namibia there is only so much to do. That said I would have liked to stay another night at this venue. Accommodation is basic, but has more than enough, kids will love the "geyser" as each unit has... More

We never fully understood the drought in Namibia until we travelled to the South. The pools so popular are located only at the Oerwald campsite and are due to the drought, now small drinkpools for baboons and animals. The campsite is booked out in advance. The other camp sites are dry. We camped at Die Korhaan which was spacious and... More

In the middle of nowhere you will find a warm welcome, nice rooms and great food. The staff is very friendly and you can see it is run by the owners. Johan is welding sculptures out of scrap metal, you can see them around, all masterpieces. The rooms have loots of privacy due to the distance. Lots of activities offered,... More

This lodge offers the best in camping and lodge accommodation, each area is well spaced for privacy. The camping areas are well appointed with washing facilities, brai area and unique individual toilet/shower units, mine was actually built into an old fig tree! The chalets/lodges are first class with magnificent views. The main reception has WiFi, the dining area and lounge... More

We loved it very much. A very warm welcome, very good food ; we had a light lunch at noon and dinner at the restaurant. Very nice camping facility with African shower, very clean ablution block, 4x4 drive starting at the lodge, at 24km from a water spring hole called Hauchab Fontein,
