NUMBER OF ROOMS
Spent 11 nights at the Radisson Blu Poste Layfayette. Throughout our stay the staff were excellent. Very friendly and attentive. Our room on the second floor met all our needs. The hotel is relatively small which meant that you forged friendships with both the staff and fellow guests. Highlight of our holiday was being invited and attending a fellow guests wedding that was held on the beach. During our stay we had several days of rain and our only criticism of the hotel was there were very few places you could base yourself in the dry to have a drink and play cards. Whilst the cocktails were not to our taste the vanilla rum was excellent and highly recommended. We used the services of the taxi drivers just outside the hotel to arrange a visit to the Sugar factory where we sampled the local rum. Prices are set, so there is no haggling and good value for money. Felt very safe and the taxi driver was very friendly and informative. A very enjoyable holiday and Radisson Blu should be very proud of their staff who consistently go the extra mile to make it a memorable stay for their guests. Thank you.…
Been here 1 week another week left arrived at night check in very quick shown to room which is one 3rd floor which we thought was wrong but when we got up in morning the view of Indian Ocean was amazing we were offered bottom floor but decided to stay where we were the staff here are amazing far to many to name can’t do enough the food is excellent and plenty choice same with drinks it is not a big resort but we knew that will be sad to leave great big thanks to the most amazing staff and management
It was ok. nothing special. a few gripes. When you book a standard room . it is not in the main hotel area. you have to cross the road . and into another building which does not have a lift -we were on the 2nd floor- which can be very tiring after the beach or a long day out. Tiny reception area which can get crowded and nowhere really to relax if you dont want to stay in your room and want to relax around the hotel complex. Food was good and varied but charged for water when half board! That was a first for us. Have stayed in better hotels so was a bit dissapointed but made the best of it. Mauritius is lovely as are the people. Location wise, cant really go anywhere without a car. Nearest shopping/food is about 15 min drive away. Staff are helpful when not busy. Went with friends and welcomed the no children policy.…
