The hotel is as beautiful as it is pictured to be. The staff are lovely and helpful, the beach is only a few footsteps away and their taxi staff (especially Allan who loves the song Quando Quando) are exceptionally kind.
As a side note there are no net curtains beneath the room curtains so as clearly as you can see out is just as clearly as anyone can see in.
This aside Cocotiers is definitely worth the stay.

As I arrived in Mauritius, one thing was apparent, the heat was unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. Immediately I resented the positive mindset I had before landing. This is going to be a long trip.
However this resentment soon changed upon my arrival at Le Cocotiers Hotel. Tranquility!! From the moment I stepped in Kevin greeted me with a persistent attitude to take my bags and escort me to my room. Aircon!! And a damn good one I have to add. And so my 2 week business trip started on a very good note.
Le Cocotiers gives you absolute piece of mine. From the amazing buffet breakfast and dinners to the cocktail party on my second night here. It was an absolute joy being in the hands of some of the most amazing staff I have ever come across. Naushad, the food & manager is such a breath of fresh air , professional and very caring to his guests . Local advice and tips on any and everything you needs assistance on. His mind is like an endless pin free ATM of solid assistance and ideas during your stay. I will most definitely be back at Le Cocotiers be it business or a holiday with my future wife.
Thanks Le Cocotiers and thanks Naushad for the most memorable trip.

I had a short trip to Mauritius and stayed over at this hotel for a night. The hotel is located on Royal Road and easily reachable from Port Louis. The beach behind the hotel was lovely for an early morning stroll.

The hotel offer lunch and dinner packages but I only had the breakfast one. It was adequate. The pool is heated and has a maximum depth of 1.70m. The room was quiet and spacious for a single guy on a weekend trip.

The staff was very helpful and ready to go the extra mile. I liked how the security guard walked me through the different features in the room, operating AC/safe/door lock controls. I also appreciate Yashill's help with the PCR report during the stay. I would stay here again when I come to Mauritius next time!

Hello Shakeel and thank you for taking time to share your review. Indeed we had a major water issue on this date whereby our maintenance team had to temporarily cut the water supplies, the time the repairs are being done. Please note that our management had informed all our guests of this situation and apologized for the same. Our reception team has also been in touch with all guests regarding the same issue and we do understand this unpleasant situation. However, we have tried our best to establishment the water supplies as quickly as possible. We sincerely apologized for this spoilt stay and it would be a pleasure for us to invite you again to the hotel for a memorable stay. We remain at your disposal, Thank you The Management

We came to Mauritius to see family whom we haven't seen for months due to the pandemic. This was the case for many others who were at the hotel as well. The staff was very courteous and helpful. The kitchen staff was so generous in the service to us all, including accommodating special requests. This is a 2 star resort which means it was a less expensive option for this required stay. The bathrooms are not what we enjoy in the US, but were sufficient and cleaned daily. The pool was nice and clean. The grounds are lovely. We were grateful for the very friendly staff. If you need to choose a quarantine hotel, this one does the job!

Dear Mrs. Venable, thank you so much for taking the time to share your review. We are glad that you had a nice stay at our hotel, for these 14 days of quarantine. Your kind words mean a lot to us and we will definitely convey the same to the staff. We hope to have an opportunity to welcoming in the future, but not for quarantine this time! Well, things did get better so I should give credit were credit is due. The rooms are still the same but they did find a more acceptable option. But 4 and a half hours from checking in to getting the room is ridiculous. The food improved once the chef ( I didnt catch his name obviously wanted to please, he was nice and took what was said graciously)was informed it was not being eaten but binned, the choice still very limited, no children's menu, a plate of chips costs £6!!! Anushka, Cedric and Mika stand out as they were smiling, happy staff members, nothing was too much bother for them ,unlike some of them, Sadly there was no connection made. 2 weeks and they still didnt know what we liked to drink. Getting a jug of water for the table at mealtimes (it's hot here) was a laborious process. The nice chef was the only member of staff, and the previously named card enough to ask if we were enjoying our stay. There was no information about any trips or activities. The bar shut before the restaurant, some nights before 10 pm. I realise covid19 and its mutations put the hotel in a difficult situation but training staff to be attentive, efficient and at least pretend to be happy. Two in particular could have soured milk with their faces. Dont know their names, no tags. Ok I'm done. Will we come back? Yes to Mauritius, no to this hotel, sad but true.

Rate for our stay minus over 10

1) Way of talking to client 0/10
2) Room was not ready had to wait 30 min +
3) Room was dirty and 2 small beds put together
Tv got 4 channels only and channel was not good also.
Room lights was not working.
(Don't go to the pictures that they display)
4) No one at the bar and needed to search for staffs eveytime. No customer service.
5) Pool was very dirty
6) lunch food was mention either a la carte or buffet ouvert but when rewaching the restaurant it's menu du jour only with either Fried chicken or fish it's like a 100rs dish. No other options.. need to pay additional even if your package says it includes lunch.
7) Did a requests for birthday cake in advance and it was not even ready or they don't know if they even forgot about it. So they served us the dessert cake we had for lunch with some decorations on it.
NOTE: cake can only be served during lunch or dinner time in restaurants. Then they will take it back and you need to take it when your checking out the hotel.
They say they cannot fulfilled any special requests (cake in room) while we saw a staff bringing out a birthday cake from a room infront of us and for us it was said no cake in room
Cake price was at 850rs but it was not worth it (seems 200rs cake)
Supermarket cakes are 100% better.
8) Can't complain anywhere as management also is on their side.
9) I know it's not 5 star hotel but it's not even a 1 star hotel.

Went there for my fiancée birthday.
End up both with very bad mood
They just don't care about customer service.

A Big NO for us.
It was our first time there and we'll make sure it gonna be the last time.

I regret to express my profound disappointment with the subpar services at Les Cocotiers during my recent stay. The restaurant experience was appalling – a barmaid in a white shirt displayed disrespect, and a spill incident involving soda left my niece drenched. Accessibility for wheelchair users was severely limited, both in common areas and within rooms and bathrooms. The pool was out of service, and the overall maintenance of rooms and bathrooms was inadequate. The hotel failed to communicate these issues beforehand, making it an unsuitable choice for my birthday celebration. Furthermore, the lack of activities, poor dining options, and unresponsiveness to our request for a larger table contributed to an overall negative experience. Les Cocotiers is unjustifiably overpriced, earning a rating of zero out of 10. I strongly advise against choosing this establishment.

I would like to say a big thanks to the staff of Cocotiers Hotel for the service they offered during our stay. They were very caring and friendly to each and everyone, where special attention were given to our elders. I have really appreciated the effort that they put to make ourselves feel at ease. The food were so delicious from day 1 to day 14. I personally have enjoyed my each day with these amazing staff who work not as colleagues but as a family. I have to make special mention of Chef Arvin, Mr Geerish, Mr Atish, Mr Teshan for the yummy dessert, Mr Callychurn (alias Jagat), Mr Jerry.

Thanks you for making our quarantine comfortable and enjoyable.

Quarantine can never be pleasant unless you are well taken care of.

I highly recommend this hotel.

Will surely re visit this hotel but this time for holidays. — at Ile Maurice Hotel Les Cocotiers

Hi Rosemary, Thank you for your interest. The hotel does not have an excursion desk. If you book directly, you can contact the reception and they will organize upon your request. The surrounding is rather quiet. But you can travel to Port Louis, our capital and Grand-baie, a lively seaside town. It is at 10 minutes by car from the hotel. There is also a supermarket which is not too far from the hotel. The hotel does not have shared bathroom. All rooms have a private bathroom. Hoping to welcome you soon, Kind Regards, The Management
