Staff here at Kantary Bay cannot do enough for you. Our travel company for some reason had cancelled one of our flights!!! We never got to the bottom of why but Ning at Kantary sorted it all out for us. It wasnt their problem of course but they still helped to sort it out. The hotel is home from home. All your creature comforts wrapped up with sunshine and smiling faces from ALL the staff. Gardeners, maids, chef's, reception ladies, restaurants and their shop cannot do enough to make your stay perfect. With welcoming fruit punch and cooling towels on your arrival, beautifully serviced rooms everyday, and assistance with booking trips or any local knowledge, Kantary Bay is the place to stay. You can use facilities (other than the pool) at Cape Panwa.... You don't need the pool there as there are two at Kantary and one on the beach. This is our 7th year here.... Wouldn't miss it for the world. Give it a go, you won't be disappointed xxxx

We probably chose a bad time to come due to corona... it didn't take away from the experience that is the hotel. They ensured there was hand sanitiser all over the premises. They checked all travellers temperatures on arrival. They were constantly wiping touch surfaces down with disinfectant. It was reassuring.
Lovely staff, always smiling and greeting. They simply can't do enough. The rooms are comfortable and clean. Aircons are fantastic! Breakfast is tasty. We ate at both the on site restaurants and they were tasty. My wife and I came to celebrate our 10 year anniversary early and the hotel was so accommodating. I can't fault the staff in anyway. The only "complaint" I would have is a lack of shade by the pool. By lack of shade I mean in the pool. It would be so amazing if the roof pool had a pool bar. But honestly this is such a small detail we didn't care 😊
To sum it up... an amazing hotel with amazing people. Thank you Kantary bay for making our holiday great!

This was our 7th stay in this amazing hotel. After the long haul flight the welcome from all the staff made us feel we were coming to our 2nd home. As usual the rooms, restaurant, swimming pools are spotless and all the staff are always smiling with a greeting. Unfortunately my husband fell seriously ill just after arrival and I cannot thank Somjai, General Manager, Boonsong FOM, Ning Reservations, Urai, Bow and all the reception girls for all the help and support they gave me. They were all amazing and really looked after me. Luckily my husband was able to recuperate in the comfortable apartment, lovely tropical gardens and the private beach in the sister hotel in Cape Panwa for our last 4 weeks and all the staff including the gardeners, bell boys, chambermaids made sure we had everything we needed. We were able to walk to the many nearby restaurants and the lovely Kantary Café for cakes, coffee and delicious ice cream. There is definitely no other hotel like Kantary Bay.

Thanks to all the staff and managers at Kantary Bay for another great visit. We have had 30 days of comfort, good food, a wonderful room and above all such welcoming staff who treated us as friends, as well as guests.
I would like to pass on my particular admiration for the ladies who do the amazing floral displays in reception. They were happy to have me watch them creating the most beautiful arrangements. Photos were taken!
Our room was cleaned immaculately every day, and from our balcony we watched the gardeners tending the plants in the gardens below.
The roof pool was a delight, especially at sunset when you can watch the sun go down across the water.
And when we left, we felt like royalty be waved off!

It’s a long tiring journey to get to Phuket and we come out of arrivals loaded down with luggage because we have come for a long stay, but no hassle a member of staff is there to relieve us of the luggage and escort us to the waiting transport. We are whisked away to Kantary Bay Hotel. We climb the stairs into reception and are immediately greeted by the management team and reception staff. “welcome back to your second home, lovely to see you again” We feel at home already. The hotel is not modern and glitzy, more traditional and homely comfortable and perhaps a refurb is due, so why do we come back again and again? That’s easy, the weather is delightful much better that a cold wet and windy England but most of all we come back to see our friends, the lovely people who look after us so well and respond to to all our requests with graciousness. The cleaners and maintenance staff, the gardeners and restaurant staff, all who greet us with a Thai smile and a “sawadee ca” too many to mention all by name but especially Somchai, Boonsong (Em), the beautiful Ning, Urai and Bow and all the reception staff. This is the Hotel of friendship and smiles, we hope it never changes, well maybe a refurb.

Every single member of staff was courteous friendly and helpful. The rooms ( I stayed in studio and one bedroom) were large, spotless and all with their own charm. The beach at Cape Panwa is fabulous, has a pool for low tide and a great beach bar which serves delicious food at ok prices. (Especially liked the papaya salad and the mango paradise smoothie!). The breakfast buffet was extensive and had something for everyone. Asian European etc. lovely curries and soups along with freshly made waffles Bacon, sausages eggs any way you like, fresh fruit, yoghurt, cakes and so on. All very tasty and good quality. Restaurant Food Good but a Little pricey
I stayed during high season but pandemic, on test and go and of course it was a luxury to have so few guests. It felt very exclusive. Not sure the experience would have been so fabulous in normal times when the hotel and beach are full!…… However, I met many guests who return every winter and love it there. What better recommendation?
A huge compliment to the management for employing and training such wonderful staff, they are what really make this place so special.
Highly recommend for singles and families. Covid regulations observed. I felt safe. Met some great people there Banana pancake street stand in the evening is amazing!

Kantary Bay hotel has the best of everything, great spot, beautifully kept gardens, two swimming pools, access to a lovely beach, guest transport to Phuket and nearby Patong for the 'high life' (but we are always glad to arrive 'back home')and we don’t know anyone who doesn’t love it once they have stayed here. It’s our 6th visit and something to look forward to all year. The staff couldn’t be more accommodating and they stay on year after year which is a recommendation in itself. Guests have access to many of the facilities at their sister hotel Cape Panwa ( including the beach) a short ride up the hill on the hotel shuttle bus which all we love. We counted at least 11 places along the road outside the hotel where you could eat in the evening very cheaply £20 approx plus Chang beer for two and that’s not accounting for the local street food sellers. All tastes are catered for - but don’t expect blaring music everywhere.

In my opinion, this is the very best hotel I’ve had the privilege of staying in. From the very moment I booked the hotel from the USA, the staff has been very responsive and accommodating. The moment I arrived I was taken care of in a very friendly manner. I arrived into my suite with my luggage already there. Cold water was in the refrigerator and replaced everyday. The cleaning staff has also done a very good job in making up the room each morning while at breakfast. Very spacious 1 bedroom suite. Each morning during the quarantine, breakfast was served at their sister hotel (fantastic variety). A shuttle was even provided there and back. The front staff is one of a kind. Very friendly and helpful. They arranged all my travel arrangements no matter how long it took. Thank you for the wonder stay Krit, May, Urai, Bo, and Leena. I’ll come back to Phuket just to visit with you again. I’ll definitely stay at this hotel again and recommend it to all my friends and family.

Arriving after a long flight from the UK we were greeted by some of the wonderful staff that help to make this hotel such a special place. Check in swift and efficient with cold towels and a reviving cool drink. Although the rooms aren’t five star glitz and glamour but more traditional they are very comfortable and homely. The cleaning staff do a great job providing an excellent service every day. The gardens are kept well tended with beautiful flowers and plants. The newly refurbished breakfast room serves a variety of eggs cooked to your liking along with all the usual breakfast dishes. Every one of the staff always greets you with a cheery Thai greeting from the wonderful General Manager Somjai and all the girls on the reception desk along with all team that makes the hotel run so smoothly. Thank you all for making our winter in the sun so enjoyable.

We stayed at this hotel in august 2021, just when Phuket opened for sandbox tourists. All personal was very helpful, well organisied and nice. We booked for one week, but stayed for three at the end. The hotel has two pools, a little gym and all rooms have a balcony. Breakfast was served at another place, the Cape Panwa, where you get really good food and coffee. We also could use the private beach, which was amazing. Some rooms have a washing mashine - this was very helpful, without any laundry service around. Outside the hotel we could find some foodstalls, the Kantatry Cafe and a seven eleven. Very special thank to Krit, our VIP Inspector :) for the wonderful day on the Katamaran. We will sure come back…soon

Hi …sorry only just spotted your question, the best time in my opinion is Feb through to end of apr……our summer is their green season, we have been in that time and been lucky with the weather but it’s very quiet, ….Feb to end April there’s less rain, heat can reach as much as 38 degrees plus humidity is high but it’s easy enough to cool down, especially in this hotel as you get a lovely breeze at the roof pool,
You can use the private beach and the pool that is situated by the beach, but not the main pool (at the Cape hotel building). Other than that, most of the common spaces are shared

The short answer is yes. We did a twilight canoe tour of Phang Nga which includes James Bond Island. We booked it with the tour guide in the hotel and the trip was fab
