We spent 4 days / 3 nights at La Luna as part of their staycation deal for local Grenadians and loved it! The service was great, as was the food and cocktails. We were in room 1, which is right on the beach, and it was really beautiful (not to mention convenient). We had a lot of fun sailing the Hobie Cat, hanging out in the pool and on the beach loungers. The yoga class on Saturday morning was great, and we had a wonderful couple's massage at the Balanese spa. The lounge bar got surprisingly busy on Saturday night, and we really enjoyed meeting the owners. All in all it was a great weekend, and we look forward to returning when we can!

If you are seeking a place in which nature, art, good food, amazing spa and serene sunsets intermingle, look no further. It is unpretentious, yet select ... the perfect arrangement for a beach hotel that makes you feel like you have just been transposed in paradise. This place has a soul of its own. There are no words to express the sense of well being that La Luna can take you to. It has got to be Grenada's best hotel.

Amazing location and incredible food. The drinks are amazing as well. Right on the beach for a sunset dinner. Our server, Jamal, was THE BEST. Great service with a great attitude and personality. I had the fish tartar as a starter. Fantastic. My main meal was Spicy Thai Peanut Curry Chicken with Pinot Grigio. Wonderful. This is definitely somewhere you want to try out.

This past February my husband and I traveled to LaLuna for the second time and it is truly one of the most, if not the most, amazing places we have ever stayed. We feel like LaLuna and Grenada itself is the worlds best kept secret and almost want it to stay that way! The island itself is breathtaking. The people are so incredibly kind and welcoming. I have never been to an island so friendly. Then the resort makes you feel like you are on a secluded island by yourself. The fact that there are only 16 cottages makes it feel like you are by yourself. The rooms are the most beautiful rooms I have ever stayed at. We prefer one of the cottages on the top of the hill. Even though it may be a long walk up the hill the views from the deck make it all worth it. The grounds are amazing. The beach is so perfect. If you like snorkeling you can see the most beautiful fish and coral just a short swim from the beach. They have kayaks and paddleboards for you to use whenever you wish and the staff is more than happy to help you. Everyone that works at the resort is so incredibly kind and friendly. It is so wonderful to see the same staff year after year and some staff members who actually remember us! It is a true testament to how wonderful the resort and the management is when you see staff that takes such pride in their work and has been with the resort for years and years. We cannot wait for our next trip there!

LALUNA. (The Moon) Close your eyes and enjoy this experience for a moment: Step out from your private bungalow In the middle of the night, look up, and there she is, Laluna, shining bright yellow amongst some of the most vibrant stars you will ever see. Your supporting cast is the ocean waves (no headset needed) lapping to the shore (the waves can be heard even at the highest perched units) and a slight cool breeze across your skin. Other than that a peaceful quietness. Back to bed you go to the “white noise” of ocean waves Then when morning breaks start your day ( we stayed in the Beachfront unit) enjoying quiet moments on the lounge chairs with a cup of coffee taking in the so many hues of blue served up by both the ocean and skies. Spatter that with puffs of white clouds and sailboats and.....well, you now have the picture; almost. To end your day don’t forget to take the short walk out to Laluna’s Sunset Point for the most beautiful sunsets each evening a Carib (local beer) in hand. No pressure to get breakfast as it is served all day! We spent two weeks at Laluna dining here most often and found the food quite enjoyable( how can scrambled eggs taste so good?) Activities during the day included kayaking to restaurants in the next cove over, snorkeling, island tours including waterfalls, nutmeg (hasn’t changed since the 1950’s) and rum factory tours. Walking the capital of St Georges, through old Fort George perched on the hill and having dinner on the water at Sails Restaurant were some highlights. Other options include taking walks from Laluna to the next cove over and to Gran Anse Beach a bit further. Another cool thing to do is to hike up the hill to the radar station above Laluna to get a stunning island view If your quest is a Four Seasons accommodation then this isn’t your place. Sorry no marble floors. This is a boutique resort set in the most private setting imaginable. Small, quiet, beautiful and unassuming. To give you an idea, there are only 12 total bungalows; 4 of them duplex’s at the top of the hill with stunning views (best to the left side looking at the resort from the ocean) for a total of 16 livable units. Note: Only a curtain separates the units on the verandas of the duplexes Now, the underpinning of this story are the people who work at Laluna. I would highly suggest you make an effort to get to know them. Their basic sense of goodness becomes self evident. My lovely wife Ruthann and I have traveled many Caribbean islands but I think it is fair to say Grenadians are the nicest we have ever met. We had personal interactions of kindness afforded to us at the resort and during our travels on the island which we will never forget We want to especially thank Angelina, Garland, Clifford, Dwight, Urban, Trina, Cox, Nigel, Tracie and Jamal “The Doll” according to my lovely wife Ruthann for making our trip so special. For those I have forgotten to mention please accept my apologies. I took too long to write this! So for us it will be the first time we will have to decide whether to do a return trip to Laluna or visit another new island, something we have done for many years Stay tuned and thanks from the bottoms of our hearts. Sincerely Ron and Ruthann Gauthier. Ron Gauthier
