I enjoy reading the "Poor" or "Terrible" reviews. Seems to me that those people are extremely picky and.... whiney. This hotel isn't a luxury hotel. It's obviously been around for a while. But the place nice. The lobby is attractive and the staff was super friendly. If you're friendly to the staff, you'll find that they'll be friendly back. If...

As others have stated, ABR is not a high-class resort, even a bit tired in appearance. If you must have infinity pools with swim up bars and granite bath counter tops, this isn't that place. If you want to be directly on one of the world's most beautiful beaches, have a lovely lap pool to relax in, enjoy a comfy,...

It's definitely an older hotel, but maintained very nicely. I wouldn't really call this a resort as the restaurant is not open, doesn't have a tiki bar, or other services. But it was only a one night pre & post a sailing trip stay, so it was fine for me. It was in a beautiful spot on the beach &...

First time out of the country and we chose Grenada. The hotel property is located on Anse Beach, the buildings themselves set back about 40 yards from the sand. Nice setting and nice location to everything you could need. The rooms are dated, the matresses could use updating, but overall it was not bad. Can't say enough good about the...

Stayed at the Allamanda in early September. It was a one night stay on route to Carriacou. This is a no thrills establishment with nothing particularly special to rave about. The plus points are it has a massive pool and is located splendidly on Grand Anse beach. Umbrellas bar is also located convieniently close by.

The country itself was beautiful and the people very friendly. The hotel was fair. The staff was cordial but not proactive with service or even greetings. There is no food or beverage service in the motel. I call it motel while it refers to itself as a Resort. The small coffee pot in the room did not work and I...

I recently booked a visit to this hotel from June 28th-July 2nd.The price quoted was an average daily price for the above dates. To my surprise once I had paid for it, the breakdown showed that the last night July 1st was almost twice the cost of each of the other nights. On arrival at the hotel,I queried the discrepancy and was...

Ideally located on Grand Anse Beach, St George's Grenada, one of the Caribbean's premier beaches. It's a basic and clean hotel. Kitchen not operable so meals have to be brought in. Friendly and helpful staff especially Rashida, who goes out of her way to secure your comfort. Walking distance to Spice Island Mall where you could find ATM; premium supermarket;...

For better and sometimes for worse (depending on your tastes), the Allamanda Beach Resort and Spa is located right smack dab in the middle of Grand Anse on one of the most beautiful beaches in the Caribbean. By no means would one regard Allamanda as a luxury resort, but for the price it has all the amenities (mini-fridges, lanais, working...
