Glenfeshie Hostel lies within the recently created Cairngorms National Park 4 miles upstream of Feshiebridge on the eastern side of the river. The hostel lies below the two Munros of Sgor Gaolith and Mullach Clach a' Bhlair and is unusual in that it allows direct access with the footpath leading up to them being only 400 mtrs distant. This makes it a great place to celebrate a final Munro ascent. Glenfeshie Hostel sleeps 16 in 3 x 4 bed bunk rooms and in one 4 single-bed room in bunkhouse type. There is a communal living and dining area heated by a large wood burning stove. There is a newly built kitchen complete with a dishwasher. There are three shower rooms along with a drying and laundry room. The hostel specializes in group accommodation and is ideal for extended family gatherings, school, college or university parties, team building and training sessions, activity based stag and hen parties and for mountaineering, hill walking and cycling club meets.

A group of us stayed here to celebrate a friends birthday. We had a really amazing weekend in a place that was ideally set up to cater for us all in a truly beautiful setting. And thank you so much to David for being relaxed about us setting off celebratory fireworks nearby!

A group of 11 of us headed up for a outdoor focused stag do and what can I say, we were all very impressed by the space available in the living areas, bedrooms and bathrooms. The hostel has a very homely feel about it, and comes with everything you need for your stay! Well very equipped kitchen, comfortable living and dining space, 4 bedrooms sleep 4 each, BBQ area, and great showers with plenty of hot water for everyone! Be aware that there is no TV and phone signal can be limited, but we all enjoyed getting away from technology for the weekend and so this didn't bother us at all. The setting is amazing, and its very well sign posted (just be aware that the satnav will take you past the hostel by about a mile I think). Then places like Aviemore and some of the activity basecamps (G2 Outdoors) are all within a 30 minute drive.

Beautiful setting. Great hostel. Well equipped kitchen. Nice selection of books and games. Only downside - midges!!!! However the hostel did provide plenty of insect spray. Booked for a family birthday - 3 families all together for a weekend of walking and cycling. Would love to visit again.

Excellent hostel with good amenities and friendly owners who were incredibly helpful. Accommodation was good with 3 showers and toilets and a well-supplied kitchen. You are really out in the wilds so don;t expect mobile reception but wifi is available. Superb views and many cracking walks nearby, albeit the Scottish Weather wasn't too kind to us, even in August. Everything was neat and clear and there is a huge living room to relax in, although there is no television or radio so bring your own entertainment. Food at teh nearby Watersports centre was surprisingly good and taxis to nearby Aviemore were very reasonable.

This hostel provided the perfect facilities and location for a great weekend away with friends. Very quiet area, beautiful views and walks. Hostel had everything we needed with a homely vibe. Ideal for those who love being in the countryside with activities and shops just a short drive away. Will be back again!
