This small, mid-range resort is located right on Maenam beach and more or less in the middle of sleepy and quiet Maenam village, close to shops and restaurants. The rooms are spacious, with all mod cons and the double beds are huge. Breakfast was ample and the staff friendly. Only one slight drawback – it does not have a restaurant or a beach bar, but you can always pop along the beach to buy a drink or snack from one of the other bars.

We stayed there a week and had a room right on the beach. You could watch the sea while lying in bed and hear the sound of waves! Extremely nice staff and good breakfast. Mae Nam is a quiet beach but the hotel is next to the Chinese part and there a couple of very good restaurants to choose from.

I come regularly to KOH SAMUI and more particularly to Mae Nam. It is in this establishment that I prefer to go down. The management is very efficient and responsive and the whole team of Baan Fah makes every effort to make the stay enjoyable. The expansions made in recent years are very successful, especially the bungalows around the pool. However, there is still some renovation work to be done in particular in the older part of the hotel. Quiet area, where some rooms overlook the sea and at the same time close to the village and streets with restaurant. A big thank you to all the staff for its kindness and professionalism.

I love the view from big terrace and size of the junior suite. We didn't have to worry about not getting a beach chair because we had two at the terrace with the sea view. They serve very good breakfast with plenty of choices. There is a street market on Thursday which is good fun. I didn't have much time (only stayed 4 nights ) to explore the island. This resort is great if you want to relax and have a good night sleep. I would happily give them higher score but there were few things: the room facilities looks a bit tired. When I checked out lady asked me if we had something from mini bar, I said no as we haven't. Then taxi driver received a phone call from the property and lady on the other side was telling me that I had a beer from mini bar to send her a money. Honestly I am allergic to beer but I couldn't fight because I was already on my way to airport and I didn't want to miss my plane. So I send her money. But this spoiled my feeling about this place. So check your mini bar to make sure this wouldn't happened.

The room was spacious and clean with a view of the swimming pool and from the patio a great view of the beach and sea.The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful.Breakfast was substantial and tasty. No other meals were provided but Pat’s kitchen just across the road had a cheap and varied menu. The area around is generally very peaceful though Chinese New Year produced some gong banging and firecrackers from the temple 50metres away!Altogether a most enjoyable stay,
