Fair House Villas & Spa is lauded for its cleanliness and luxurious, comfortable rooms with stunning views, though some guests note accessibility concerns. The tranquil, tastefully decorated atmosphere provides a serene retreat, with the resort's location offering seclusion and complimentary activities, though it's a distance from local attractions. While the amenities, including a pool and fitness center, are generally appreciated, there are mentions of needing updates. The staff receives high marks for exceptional service, and while the resort is considered good value, some find the spa and WiFi to be on the pricier side.

Excellent 'quarantine' stay for week 1 as part of our Sha Plus Extra stay. It definitely didn't feel like a hardship quarantining at the beautiful Fair House Hotel. We were picked up from the airport in a private minivan which felt safe with regards to covid masks/screen and cleanliness etc. Check in was quick and easy and when we arrived into our room there were coconuts and a 3 course meal waiting for us. We were whatsapp'd our negative test results by 8am the next morning which meant we were free to go anywhere in the hotel including the restaurant, swimming pool and beach. The gym was still closed but the hotel provided us some weights and yoga mats which they delivered to our room for us to do workouts on our balcony area.
The staff were all so attentive, particularly Ice within the restaurant and Ploy at reception.
The hotel put on an outdoor sunset movie night for us which was a great experience! The food was all excellent and they were happy to take requests of things that weren't on the menu. Wifi speed was also excellent for doing some work including Teams calls!
Thanks again Fair House, would highly recommend!

I enjoyed my stay at the Fair House Villas & Spa a lot and was really glad that I didn't have to spend one week inside a hotel room in Bangkok!

Hotel staff went out of their way to cater to all of my needs even though some regulations made it quite difficult to do so. They were not allowed to enter my room for cleaning or changing bed sheets.

I literally had all of the hotel vicinities almost for myself because bookings were so scarce due to the complicated and tedious entry process for TH.

The spacious rooms are located in the middle of the jungle! Squirrels chasing each other and tropical birds chirping and singing makes for an atmosphere of tranquility! The poolside area is clean, well-kept and right next to the restaurant at the beach.

Speaking of the restaurant, this was my personal highlight of my stay! The food was always incredibly tasty and fresh and staff very friendly. Craving for some som tam or laab moo right now! ;-)

If you feel bored at some point just go for a walk at the beach which stretches out many kilometres and can be explored even during quarantine! Nobody was there!

The only downside worth mentioning: Mosquitos are ubiquitous, be well prepared for them - not like me!

Thanks a lot!
Cheers Stephan

We had a wonderful family holiday at Fairhouse Villas, initially we were concerned that there would not be enough for our three children to do but they spent the days at the hotel happily playing in the pool, took out paddlboards and played in the sand. The staff deserve a special mention, they were all amazing and went the extra mile to make our stay special. We had a couple of minor accidents with the children and they were on hand immediately to assist with first aid. I would whole heartedly recommend this hotel, it is very relaxed and quiet which was just what we needed to spend some quality family time together. The buffet breakfast was good and happy hour at the pool bar was great surrounded by the wonderful scent of the frangipani in bloom and the immaculate pool and grounds, it really is a very beautiful place to stay. We were very lucky to experience a sea view pool villa which was very spacious for our family.

We walked several times along the beach to the Treehouse/Nana Beach Bar/Nature Beach Bar for dinner where we also walked home along the road several times and felt very safe, I note a few have mentioned this as a problem but we found it very easy and also ate at the roadside restaurants close to the hotel. Fishermans Village is a 5 minute taxi ride and well worth a few trips in the day and evening.

I was ready to give this one a 5 rating, but by not handling my issue is well deserving of a 1 rating I feel.

Unfortunately, there was no running water in my room. In fairness is was working when I arrived for 2 days; however, stopped working including the lavatory, shower, everything. Understandably things do happen, but by not having a room habitable would simply be deserving of a credit back again as I feel.

The clerk who was very pleasant, accommodating, and warm hearted, did her very best to check with her manager / owner, who amazingly declined any credit back; hence, my 1 rating. The exact wording is “ it’s against hotel policy to refund “.

On a positive note, beautiful location, and scenic view of the sea.
Bed positioned to look out the to the sea, very romantic.
Beach.
Room: blow dryer, water, toiletries, safe, mini fridge, coffee.

The location is next to the W hotel, so one can see the room rates are considerably less here/ same view as the W.

The breakfast is a typical western breakfast ( eggs bacon toast fruit, juice. My sausage was the hotdog sort. Not great, but a good start for the day.

With no customer assurance, having given the opportunity to rectify the situation, there’s not a chance that I’d return to this hotel ever again.

We visited Samui under the program Samui Plus, which we have to do quarantine for total of 14 days. The first 7 days we did not regretting for choosing Fair House as our ALQ choice. Since the hotel is fully equipped, very new and very relaxing. First we booked with Fairhouse hotel which located in Chaweng area, and luckily got upgraded to Fairhouse Villa located in Maenam Area. The beach was nice and clean, since there were no tourists I believed.

Staff were really nice, they have helped us and answer all confusions with the ALQ and SHA programs we have struggled with. Also, a big big thanks to Khun Bo Boonpitch and Khun Neng whose have always texting with my Thai family regarding my needs while I am staying in the hotel. Since there was a difficulty on language barriers.

All meals were included in the package we can choose starter, main course, dessert and soft drinks on each meals. On day 3rd day of quarantine, we allowed to have breakfast in the restaurant and foods were perfect. Thank you Fairhouse for making our ALQ stay far better than we thought. Foods were amazing. Areas were fresh and clean. Overall satisfied!

Just one thing mistaken was miscommunication on ordering food but staff have nicely solved problems and apologize.

REALLY RECOMMENDED!!

We really enjoyed our visit to “Fairhouse villas” it’s a very peaceful, beautiful, relaxing resort, with a beautiful pool area & gardens.
We stayed in an ocean villa, what a lovely room, gorgeous bathroom, with both a bath, and shower, comfy bed, and a wonderful balcony, with a spa bath. Our room was 103, to anyone considering booking an Ocean suite, a few tips, ask for an ocean view, the other end, ours was the one with the least view, as obscured by bushes (my first photo is the view). Also, these rooms are no good for anyone with a disability, or unfit, they are the furthest from everything.
The restaurant was great. Breakfast is wonderful, so much choice. We had two evening meals, both were very good, tasty food, reasonably priced, lovely views. One point I’d like to make to management, please offer the normal menu also, on the buffet nights. I’m a small eater, as I’m sure others are, I would loved to have ate in your restaurant, but on those nights chose to eat at the “wonderful Fisherman’s village” instead, as I didn’t want to pay for a buffet, that I wouldn’t do justice to.
The resort isn’t walking distance to other restaurants, but it’s only a short taxi ride, and reception kindly organise a lift there, for a reasonable charge.
“Fishermans village” as I’ve already mentioned, is wonderful, a lovely row of restaurants to choose from, and fantastic massages, at a very reasonable price. The resort does have a spa, which did look lovely, but it is very expensive, that said, it’s a proper spa, so would rightly command a higher price. The resort does offer a few treatments poolside, these are fairly priced.
Now to the staff, I cannot speak more highly of them, all are friendly, polite, happy people, always a smile on their faces. A big shout out to Aieng, Rock & Praewa, your friendly chat, wonderful service, & happy faces, really made our experience of the resort, you guys are an absolute credit to the resort.

Dear Alison, Great review! Thank you very much for taking the time to share your review and ratings with us. It's wonderful to know you had a great time with us. We are very pleased that our resort was peaceful, relaxing, and beautiful. Our team has noted the build-up of vegetation and will trim accordingly for a better view. Unfortunately, we won't be able to offer the normal A La Carte menu on a buffet night as it goes against the concept of having the buffet dinner event. However, we can offer a discount depending on how many people you have booked for the buffet dinner event. Agreed that we do have a lovely Spa and the prices compared with other Spa's of similar concept are reasonably priced. The staff names mentioned are praised for their attentiveness and they appreciate your kind feedback. The management and associates would like to thank you for choosing us and we look forward to welcoming you back again. Kind regards, Management

We had initially booked ourselves at their 4 star property in Chaweng but due to renovation they upgraded us to the 5 star property. It's on a beautiful secluded beach, right on the water, tranquil and stunning. We enjoyed naps on the nets by the water listening to the waves and used their complimentary kayaks with the kids! The staff gave us vegetarian green curry because the breakfast options had chicken/pork which we don't eat. They also upgraded us to a double room which worked beautifully for us traveling with two tweens.

Fairhouse villas and spa, fantastic hotel, our villa beach front with pool was superb, great views. So chilled out and serene, staff were so friendly and helpful.
Was a good walk from many different restaurants but a little local food shack done the road was fabulous for Thai food so cheap and delicious.
Once you get to main roads there's loads of songthaws small buses you can travel all round the island, barter the price first then jump on board, really fun.

For £620 per night we had very poor WiFi. Breakfast was always the same, poor quality cooked food which was always cold. Worst element was service and untruths that were told to keep us quiet. We waited over an hour for dinner on our first night, staff kept saying food was on the way until eventually they had to admit it wasn’t even being cooked. Told us we could watch Euros final in restaurant, when we tried at 2am they made up excuses for 30 mins until they had to admit TV wasn’t connected to anything apart from a Promotional loop. Also said we could watch football in our room, at 2am TV station went dead, for 30 mins they offered to reboot the TV when again eventually they had to admit they never had the rights for the live stream. We missed the final. We didn’t understand why they kept lying, it just made everything so much worse, with the meal we would have understood and they could have made it much quicker and with the football we would have gone out. For the money we paid it was unbelievably disappointing, we tried leaving half way through so we could move to a hotel with WiFi but they wouldn’t let us. 20 year old daughter with no Snapchat access was not fun! Would not recommend

We had a stay at the hotel around about New Year 2020 for 10 days. The hotel was very relaxing and really nice. The missing beach was no problem for us. Near to the hotel is the possibility of a public beach which can be used. The room (private pool villa) was very comfortable, clan and beautiful.
Unfortunately at that time there were some construction works at the whole area of the hotel. Also the spa renovation were not finished yet. And the fitness room is not really "inviting".
The whole crew - reception desk, housekeeping, gardener and restaurant team are very, very friendly and anticipating. No need for any claims.
In particular we want to announce the team at the restaurant - Ray, Ice and Gin. We had a really great time with these lovely guys.
Many, many thanks to them!

hi, the hotel has its own bar and restaurant however its a little over priced for the area. We walked as we wanted to drink with our meals and it only took 10minutes to get onto the main road which has lots of authentic restaurants. The best option though is to walk along the beach to your left for 5 minutes. You will find a restaurant/bar on the beach called Treehouse.
