This is definitely my favourite place on Earth! Treehouse is a Koh Samui based little resort of small, simple, basic clean wooden/bamboo bungalows with either fans or the air conditioning situated right on the Mae Nam beach. It’s exactly what we hoped to find wanting to escape the hustle of big, luxurious and crowded tourist spots, the closest to traditional and tucked behind the busy road. Bungalows and the restaurant are literally on the beach underneath the coconut and mango trees. All you will wake up to will be sound of the waves, birds and geko’s. For anyone nervous about snakes, scorpions, spiders and other creepy crawlers- we haven’t seen any at all, the only pest are the mosquitoes in the evening but the staff will provide you with the mosquito net, get yourself a good repellent and you’ll be perfectly fine. We stayed here for almost 3 wks, enjoyed the golden sand beach, clear sea, loads of sun, cocktails and views of the ocean.
I would recommend this place to everyone who enjoys relaxed, no fuss holiday, good food ( food here is miraculous!), has a hippy travelling soul, LGBTQ friendly, pet friendly, wants to experience the hospitality and smiles of Thailand and the beautiful Thai people that work here. I can’t thank enough to Pamela, the owner and each and every member of staff who gave us home away from home in this lovely bungalow community and made our stay on Koh Samui truly unforgettable!!!
We can’t wait to come back again!

The Treehouse Resort is everything I had read and more! Everything good in other reviews is true! In addition to quaint bungalows (we stayed in one with air conditioning and one with just a fan and both were excellent) the grounds are magical. This is truly a special, extraordinary place! Rather than rehash all the wonderful things about the Treehouse, here are a few things I think you should know before you stay here:
1. If you don’t have a car or a motorbike, transportation isn’t easy. You can always use Grab (Thai Uber) but it is expensive (usually 400 baht). The Treehouse is down a long dirt road. You can walk out to the main road, but on this part of the island, it’s hard to find a songtheaw (though taxis do drive by on the main road fairly often). Nothing is really in walking distance (but the Treehouse food is amazing so you really don’t have to leave).
2. The restaurant is open air, but when other guests smoke at their tables, it is still noticeable and annoying.
3. There are a lot of families with very young children staying here right now. It is fun to watch them play in the sand and water, but just FYI if you don’t love having kids around - including fussy babies.

So....I’m writing this review eating dinner right on the beach with a view of the Treehouse’s beautiful luminaries, my feet in the sand, enjoying delicious food and drink, but I’m not loving the cigarette smoke that the breeze occasionally brings my way, and there is a baby up on the patio who is unhappy and needs to go to bed - but just one - and s/he seems to be settling down! Sabai, Sabai!

We have been to this famous tree house almost every single day and had lunch and drinks since we have been here from the Monday really
The food is amazing with very decent prices and staff is always smiling and welcoming you.
I have never seen anything like this little houses before. We are defending recommending other people to look up and come over Have a swim eat and spend the day here. You can also rent out the little houses in bookings.

We stayed for 2 nights (could have stayed longer but that was their max availability) in the bamboo hut. We are backpacking on a very tight budget which this fit perfectly whilst giving us a super quirky experience. It's in a quiet setting where you can fall asleep to the sounds of crickets, sea waves and birds. The huts are very basic but that's all we needed. You have a mattress, pillows, bedding and an insect net. There's a shelf, coat hangers and a porch area with a hammock plus table and 2 chairs. Access to a shared toilet and shower block which was actually the best shower we've had so far - great power and lots of hot water.
We ate here for breakfast twice and dinner twice. Food was really good, slightly more expensive that going away from beach to cheap Thai places but still good value by western standards. Its a HUGE menu with thai, greek, italian, mexican, western food. Drinks are amazing. Tonnes of smoothies, nice soft drinks and cocktails - they do happy hour mojitos. The restaurant is on the beach in the sand with the sea by your side (option to sit inside). I would recommend as a quirky place to stay in Samui unlike anywhere else we've been. It's adorable at night with all various lights and a tree swing on the beach.

We visited this restaurant 6 times during our recent vacation which I think says it all !! We were staying at the Coast hotel so it was a short walk along the beach for us. It had such a lovely chilled vibe and stunning views of the beach.

The staff were friendly and loved the wee dog who would wander around didn’t bother with the people or food just doing its own thing !

The food was amazing tried so many different Thai curry dishes and pad Thai etc all of which were amazing and so reasonably priced.

They have a happy hour between 5-8 the have a long list of mojitos for 90 bhat which is about £2.50 all were delicious.

Missing this place already !

Treehouse is in maenam, on the North shore of samui, just close enough yet far enough away from everywhere. Rooms range from fan rooms tocaircon, beach or set further back, and all incredibly reasonably priced. The food and drinks are all excellent, and again very reasonably priced. The menu is extensive, and both Thai and western. I've been coming here for years, and can't recommend it enough. Also the same are all amazing. Very helpful and lovely

Located just a short bike ride away from Chaweng beach, but was totally worth the ride. The beach you are on is ideal as it’s quiet and beautiful with clear waters. The food and drinks we got tasted amazing and were such a good price. The food came fast, but we didn’t feel hassled at all, I’d recommend it to anyone in Ko Samui! Also deck chAirs that can be used on the beach!

I'm an English teacher currently living in the south of Thailand and this place was recommended to me by some colleagues and friends. I am so happy to have come across this amazing accommodation. The staff is extremely friendly, the food is absolutely DELICIOUS and vegetarian friendly. There's Thai food non-thai food, as well as a few fusion dishes. The cous-cous salad with Feta and the Green smoothie were my favorite. I ended up staying an extra night beyond my original booking because I loved the place so much. There's a massage parlor right next door as well, with an ocean view. If you stay here, you really have to find a reason to go explore the island because you won't want to leave the resort area! I've already booked another weekend with them for the future too. Cheers and happy travelling!

Yes, you can book directly but they must be affected by this pandemic as well so maybe it would be worth sending it again! They are really nice people and everything about the Treehouse is relaxed so give them a little nudge!;)
