We had the most amazing week on Koh Samui. Our stay at Karma Apsara was perfect. The rooms are so spacious with amazing views. The friendly, family feel to the resort is what makes it a must visit place. Thank you to the amazing staff. Sebastian we especially loved our walks with you and Bird you were fantastic helping us sort out flights home due to COVID-19. Also Mung you will always have a special place in my heart. We will never forget your smile. Hopefully we will return one day.
Karma apsara is a resort that keeps on giving - staff are all friendly and do anything to help, Pieter and Renae are wonderful hosts who go out of their way to bring travellers together to share stories and experiences and to offer a fun program to those who wish to participate. Jeff Goodwin is also a great part of the team - teaching us Salsa Dancing last night. The apartments are very roomy - I think all are 2 bedroom each with en-suite, with large balconies off the living area. The restaurant has a great menu serving delicious foods offering a variety of cuisine. Tonight there was a Thai buffet on offer all cooked by the karma kitchen staff - it was delicious. Do yourself a favour and book here - there is 3 shuttles each day to the beach.
The rooms are enormous, so no cramping there. The view is spectacular, while out on the deck the sea is right there in front. The food, the pool - good choice if the travel is with kids. They have a shuttle to the beach on every day. All in all had a great anniversary trip.
Spent a week over Christmas in this resort. Had a laid back holiday and met some lovely people from different parts of the world. This resort sits on a hill overlooking the golf course nearby. The resort organizes various activities for the guests including walks in the neighborhood, Christmas dinner, Thai night to sample Thai cuisine. As it is not on a beach, it provides daily shuttle that leaves at 3 different times of the day to the nearby Maenam beach. There are local family mart and 7/11 within walking distance where you can get your pop, snacks and toiletries. Great place to get away from noisy holiday crowds and just kick back and relax. Although there is no breakfast included there is a restaurant onsite where you can have your meals or even room service. Swimming pool is small but suffice for a few laps.…
We stayed in a two bedroom, two bathroom unit - the rooms were spacious and the beds comfortable. The kitchen was equipped with a stove, some crockery and cutlery, a full-sized fridge, and two pans - you can easily cook breakfast or simple meals with these items. The views are beautiful, the resort is situated higher up between coconut trees, it's very serene and quiet. The resort has one infinity pool, overlooking the groves. They offer shuttles to and from the silent beach multiple times a day, and a shuttle to and from the Fisherman's market on a Friday. The resort is far out, so you'll want to use taxis or bikes to get to the supermarket, shops, surrounding towns, the other markets and beaches. The unit we were in could use some maintenance, the basins in all bathrooms did not have hot water, the shower in the second bedroom did not have hot water, the shower in the main bathroom was either hot or cold, there was no 'medium' temperature. Overall, this is a decent resort, especially if you're looking to mainly relax at the resort and not venture out too much. If they do some maintenance, the place would be more comfortable. All the staff were friendly, kind and helpful. Thank you all for your hospitality. A special shout out to Legs and Bird! =)) …
