Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travelers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.
We spent 9 wonderful and especially relaxing days at Saree Samui. This started and ended with the personal airport shuttle and we felt very comfortable during our entire stay. The location of the hotel is excellent for those looking for rest and relaxation, absolutely quiet on a very nice stretch of beach. The hotel itself is located in a beautiful green oasis and tries to do something good for the environment according to some ecological criteria. In view of the partially shocking pollution of the island, very commendable. The 56 bungalow-style apartments, including their own garden, are very generously divided and with their “openness” absolutely something special. The sleeping area is very well air-conditioned with a quiet device. Of course, there are mosquitoes in this region and such a green area, but you can adapt and protect yourself accordingly. There are enough loungers and umbrellas at the large infinity pool and on the beach, the towel racks are limited. All areas are cleaned very well every day. There is also nothing to complain about culinary. The breakfast was perfect, including the fresh preparation of egg dishes and pancakes. But the restaurant for lunch or dinner is also highly recommended. It is a little more expensive, but the cuisine is authentic Thai and very tasty. The staff is very friendly and courteous in all areas, and questions and problems are answered promptly. Special mention should be made to the Guest Relations Manager Kitti, who not only helps German-speaking guests a lot, e.g. when booking tours. Conclusion: an absolutely recommendable accommodation for guests who are looking for rest and relaxation in a natural environment.

After having searching a lot for a nice clean beach and location (not isolated) we have read all opinions in Trip Advisor about this hotel. We are very happy with service and room , the infinite pool is fantastic and the beach clean . You can swim! Breakfast is great . We took a room with private pool but is unnecesary since you have the big pool In front of a sea with a tranquile atmosphere , many franguipangui and coconut trees . Dinner and drinks are expensive but there are many choices near the hotel to have a drink or dine (like Dunshine Gourmet) Grateful to the stuff of Saree Samui. We will recomend it for our Spanish and German friends.

Spotlessly clean room, with lovely outside bathroom, little garden and seating area. The perfect setting to listen to nature especially at night. The resort is well maintained, offering Thai style accommodation in a very traditional, yet elegant and uncomplicated setting. Great pool, spa and gym facilities. Delicious food at the restaurant, with really good breakfast options from the buffet in the mornings. Really want to praise the staff: very friendly, attentive and demonstrating the best of care for their guests.

We had a wonderful stay at Saree Samui, the infinity pool and beach front were amazing. There was always plenty of choice at the breakfast buffet, and the evening meals were good too. The room we had was the garden room, as we didn't think a pool room was needed when you have access to the infinity pool and beach so easily, the bed was super comfy too. This place was great value for money and only 5mins away from the popular Fisherman's Village, I would recommend going to the Friday market there which was a great atmosphere, and also check out Coco Tams bar which is awesome in the evening, the have fire shows on the weekend too. Overall were were very happy with our stay here!! Thank you to all the staff who made it amazing and a stress free stay!!

What a lucky discovery we had in finding Saree Samui. The resort is on the beach and has the most fantastic 50 meter swimming pool that is clean and perfect. Chaise lounges beneath palms and other wonderful trees encircle the pool with sea views beyond. The rooms are really wonderful as they are walled in providing privacy as well as outdoor bath and shower within a small garden. There is a semi outdoor sitting room with ceiling fan and day bed as well as a desk and chair. The bedroom is so quiet. Air conditioning cools this room while two walls of floor to ceiling windows/sliding doors allow garden views from the four poster netted bed. All is well thought out with dimmer switches on the lamps, quiet fridge, a safe and the pleasant scent of lemongrass. Nothing overwhelms! Everything is quiet and tranquil. The gardens and walking paths are maintained nicely. This is not a ritzy resort but it is a charming, friendly and very comfortable place with an amazing staff. Each person is genuine and works hard to be sure your needs are provided for. From Ms Pond who helped secure a room for us and was always available with a smile and patience to answer all our questions, Ms Dada who spoke lovely English and charmed us with her stories and the front desk woman with the sweetest smile who helped us with our SIM card problems. Ott was the first person we met, bringing us towels and drinks from the bar. He never forgot my name! Each and every person there had a kind and attentive attitude making the resort feel like family. Second to the great staff was the fact the rooms were kept spotless and the breakfast offerings were plentiful with fresh fruit, homemade yogurt, eggs made to order and many other dishes. Everywhere the sea view and breezes, fountains and birdsong. Truly this is a very special find on the beach in Maenam.

A fantastic location, facilities and hospitable service. We really valued our time at Saree Samui, all made so pleasant with the teams warm service. We were well set up and looked after throughout our stay, from the small touches making the villa/room really cool - showering and chilling out amongst nature, but then getting the air con bedroom was a truly great set up :) beach and bar/restaurant was lovely having dining for several meals - sometimes on the beach itself which was just great. Lovely spa massage and a decent little gym to help manage the impact of lots of pad thai and cocktails :) The pool side was our favourite spot to relax for instant access to drinks, the beach and to swim /cool down when it reached humid mid thirties temperatures. A great location if you like a relaxing area (and fairly easy travel to busier areas if like us, you like to get to now and again), + with a few options to have a drink/bite out as well walkable. All really impressive, particularly the team being really attentive- thank you to everyone. Recommend the massages in the Spa, all thai food in the restaurant and the teams great Mai Tai :)

My mother and I had a wonderful stay at this lovely hotel.the garden villa room was delightful, spacious and quiet. Loved having a private space to be in.
The pool area was also beautifully looked after and the guys providing extra towels and so on did a great job. The beach is also beautiful here, quiet but with things to look at as boats come into the nearby pier or sail past.
The restaurant, both evening and breakfast provided wonderful food at a reasonable price and we loved the cocktails. The restaurant manager Lek and the team worked hard to look after us.
The hotel gardens were beautifully maintained and the location is handy for short wanders out the odd bars or shop but overall out stay was exactly what we wanted, tranquil and luxurious.
The managers, we spoke particularly with Oliver, were friendly and efficient with any questions etc. (even the ones about the birds and wildlife we heard!)

When we arrived very late at night from the Airport. Kitty, the manager, welcomed us warmly….said he had been worried about us and now was glad to see us. He, as well as every other staff member - the Kitchen staff, Reception and the Massage lady were all very polite and super friendly at all times. The Room cleaning staff also did an excellent job. The Restaurant is beautifully located, right beside the pool and above the beach. It felt so warm and pretty and the food was always delicious, that we ended up not only having breakfast, but also dinner there all week. Also, the table setting and light decor on the outside deck, as well as in the sand was extra special and romantic. We very much enjoyed coming back to the Saree Samui after a 4 year break. The renovation of the pool, the facelifting of the bungalows and most of all the increase of the quality of the food at the beach front restaurant, with its small but very romantic terrace, confirmed our choice. After having checked out the small Thai restaurants in the area we had to admit that this year the food at the resort, including the Thai dishes, was by far the best - and served in the best ambiance. The hospitality of the staff was extraordinary, especially Kuhn Lek, who has been working at the resort since its beginning. He and all his crew made us feel very much at home during our stay. This helped us very much to relax and have an excellent time on Koh Samui - including almost daily massages at the resorts own spa. But the most outstanding quality of the resort is its tranquil and peaceful character which very good matches with the peacefulness of the Mae Nam beach. We very much hope, that the new Manta Beach Club does not interfere to much with this unique quality of the resort. We are very are much looking forward to our next stay at the Saree Samui in the future, Peter & Regula
