#2 of 5 B&Bs / Inns in Ghasri
Ta' Maria B&B is a farmhouse of the 19th century. Set in the open countryside, it is located in Ghasri, the smallest village in Gozo. In 7 minutes, you can walk to the bus stop for links with Victoria. Ta' Maria offers 2 terraces with tables and chairs, and an outdoor swimming pool, open all year. The rooms are furnished with antiques, and offer a private bathroom. Some rooms have air condition which is at an extra daily charge. Free Wi-Fi is available at reception. A sweet and savory buffet is served daily, in the former mill with fireplace, or by the pool. Cakes and jams are homemade, by the pastry chef. Bus 308 connects the village with Victoria, 3 km away. From Victoria, it is a 15-minute ride on bus 301 to reach Mgarr ferry terminal.

Stayed here for 4 nights at the start of October 2021. The building itself is impressive. Rooms are large and clean. No tea/coffee makings which was a shame. No TV which we were not fused about. No safe in rooms. The air con unit is 1 Euro an hour which would be quite costly during the summer months. We didn’t need to use it in October. Pool area is Ok, with the pool open until Nov 1st. The Pool could have done with a clean and the pool beds had seen better days. Not much of a sun trap. The breakfast is from 08.30/09.30 and is excellent full cooked or whatever you want with lovely freshly baked cakes. On two of the mornings we had excursions with early starts and the owners arranged for breakfast at there sister hotels locally which was a nice touch. You will need a car here as it is pretty isolated but we knew that before we booked. No problems with parking near the hotel. One slight issue was that we asked to come back for a hot shower before we flew back to the UK on day of checkout. We were told that was not possibly after the check out of 10.30. It’s 2021 and surely an established place like this should have a bathroom for this purpose. Overall good b&b which was a place for us to base ourselves whilst in Gozo.

Very nice experience. The rooms are really nice and the pool is great. Staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast is lovely and will set you up for the day. Parking was a bit of an issue - especially on weekend evenings. Also be aware of the metered air con.

Stayed for 4 nights and we had a great time. We were very welcome by the owner Victor and the rest of the staff. Great cooked-to-order breakfast, accompanied by amazing home made cakes. Gluten free breakfast was also offered upon request. Great to have a shared kitchen. Cleanliness second to none. Very quiet farmhouse. Highly recommended. We hope to be back next summer. Thanks and keep it up :)

Spent 3 nights in the B&B with other friends. Cozy rooms and lovely old-style entire farmhouse! The pool area is super relaxing. The staff is very friendly, gentle and professional (super important that I've been during covid time, and they were always wearing face masks!). Breakfast with quite good choice (from English breakfast to a more Mediterranean breakfast, with homemade cakes and breads) Personally the only "stain" is the use of A/C in the rooms with cash meter...in 2020 to pay for A/C it's a bit unusual. But a big fan is anyway provided in every room. But in the end everything is super!!!
