I can only heap praise on this establishment that we used as a base for our cycling break in the Alps. Martin and Shawn did everything possible to make this an unforgettable experience, from top advice on cycling routes to creating culinary masterpieces that were ideal for us all pre and post very energetic days. They have clearly researched everything...

A great place to stay if cycling in the alps locally, ideally suited for a number of challenging climbs and descents. Perfect hosts, Shawn & Martin, very knowledgeable about the locality and very helpful in choosing routes (being keen cyclists themselves). They are also very welcoming and accommodating to personal or group requirements. Meals can be prepared on the premises...

Shawn and Martin were great hosts. The atmosphere in the B&B is relaxed and the passion for cycling is obvious. The breakfast is perfect to set you up for a day in the mountains and the evening meals made sure I was ready to go again the next day. If you need a day off cycling or your other half...

I stayed with Shawn & Martin for 6 nights whilst on a cycling holiday. I was travelling on my own and they made me feel very welcome. They put on dinner a number of nights which gave me a chance to interact with them and other guests. We were also able to watch the Tour de France live in the...

Where to start, where to start. I would rather be writing this review FROM this location instead of ABOUT this location. My wife and I had just about the PERFECT seven day holiday at this location that we could possibly have dreamed of. We originally chose Le Velo for its location, me being a cyclist and wanting to attempt some...

I stayed at Le Velo Jaune for 4 nights in May 2016 while on a cycling holiday in the Alps. Not only is this chambre d'hotes in the perfect location for exploring the mountains, the accommodation and hospitality of the hosts, Shaun and Martin exceeded all my expectations. Great quality breakfasts and evening meals … and great quantities too for...

This small but perfectly formed B&B is perfectly placed for riding some of the iconic Tour de France climbs - and its location means a good relatively flat warm up ride to the base of Alpe d'Huez. My son (Joe) and I were warmly welcomed by Martin and Shawn, who have recently taken over running Le Velo Jaune and we...

My father and I stayed at Le Velo Jaune for 3 nights whilst on a cycling trip. The only reviews on here seem to be for the Velo Jaune whilst it was under old management. The new managers, Shawn and Martin, are great guys.. They were exceptionally helpful - giving us lifts to the bike hire place, washing and hanging...

This lovely little B&B is run by the most lovely couple, Lynne and Alan who really go out of their way to make your a stay a very pleasurable one. Being a keen cyclist, Lynne and Alan's local knowledge of the region is invaluable. Their advice regarding alternate or adding onto to set routes was just fantastic. I had previously...

We have just booked our fifth stay at this B & B, we would have nothing but good to say about Lynne and Alan as hosts, they have always been more than welcoming, friendly and helpful to us, even going out of their way to ensure they cooked what we liked to eat. The food was always plentiful and not...
