We satyed there last week when they were open for a seasson 2021 in a premium room. Room was ok with the balcony overlooking the sea. Just I do not like door between room and bathroom. They looks as a closet door. Food were great, everything what I trayed was very good with good selection of different food. We had half board. One day we ate lunch at the Kantun restaurant. Prices are fine and also food very good. Indoor poll area big with warm water. Just it was not very clean. Maybe due to the fact that this was the last weekend before closing and cleaning lady allready at vacation. Also they did not hava animations for kids during our stay. Also I did not like that some guests did not wear the facemask in the loby.

We recently stayed for 4 days at the Hotel Pinija. It was out of season and so not much going on in the local area. The sea views are pretty and the water looked crystal clear The rooms are very clean with comfortable beds, balcony furniture is basic. The indoor heated swimming pool is brilliant with sun beds to relax on after your swim. The spa is extremely popular, so book early to reserve your place. The outdoor areas have lovely views. The food was tasty. There was entertainment every night but the lounge area is very bright and not very relaxing as the hallway cuts through the lounge and ‘stage’ so there is a constant stream of people walking backwards and forwards - this area needs to be rearranged. Check bus timetable if you want to sight see as there are only a few buses each day. The local winery is well worth a visit and very reasonably priced.

Pinija Hotel has a great location, directly on the beach, with a big garden and a lot of opportunities. The rooms are clean thanks to our housekeeper Jivana and new decorated. The best think was the swimming school for children run by Lucija, a very, very lovely and great professional swimming teacher. She was very dedicated to make kids love the swimming and eliminate any kind of fear. The animation was well prepared with a big variety of games, run by Tomislav. The kids loved the animated children disco, with games and competitions, the treasure hunt with clues, surprises and bingo night or music quiz. In summary I can say that Tomislav made our stay very special and we want to thank him for all his kindness and professionalism.

Hotel Pinija is a huge property with lots of amenities. The Parking was huge and so was the dining area. There is access to water from 3 sides. The front desk also has forex for travelers, the exchange rate was better than my bank. The animation program for kids were good. But the service was a huge letdown. The airco is not typical AC unit, but serves either as heater or cooler centrally. During our stay it was turned to heater mode, while outside it was humid and mild warm. The temperature in room was always above 27 Deg C, which made night sleeps uncomfortable. Further upon request, front desk gave a Fan, but in boxed condition. I was not paying money to stay and DIY stuff for hotel. That was the level of service. We’d a half board package, but strange part was we were required to pay even for water which is normally part of buffet in most hotels. Not the best of experience I had hoped for nor level of service I’d experienced till date.

Off the beaten track but well serviced by a bus straight into Zadar and 5 minutes walk from a lovely harbour with neighbourhood bars and supermarkets. The room was no frills but clean and comfortable. The dinner was very good - excellent quality and lots of veggie options. Unfortunately breakfast was not as impressive, disappointing watery juice and unpleasant tea and coffee in tiny cups. Not much choice of baked goods or cereals but enormous selection of cold, pink meats, to cater for the continental guests. The views were wonderful and the spa was fantastic. Would definitely stay again but probably give breakfast a miss.
