We stayed at this hotel for four nights, good selection of food and they had different menus everyday. We thoroughly enjoyed the stay. Would have given 5 stars but the on duty receptionist let us down. I understand that the check-in is at 1500 but he said its 2:45 now and to come back no smile on his face. I said to him we have four and two rooms booked so by the time you finish the process it will be 3pm. But he said no to come back. But at 2:55 someone else (guests) came to the counter and he started the checkin process and I asked him how did you start his checkin process before 3pm! He said because the house keeping informed that the room is now ready!!! I’m surprised when people check out in the morning at 11am what they were doing till 1500!!!

The hotel is really excellent. The food is delicious, and the rooms are big and clean. The view from the rooms is fantastic. Nice inside pool for winter, outside pools in summer, wellness and spa - you really have a lot of chois, what to do. Praise to all employees, especially Mrs. Laura and Mr. Tomislav for their outstanding animation work with children and adults. We'll definitely come back. Kisses :)

Had a lovely 3 night stay with my daughter. Plenty to do at this hotel. Evening entertainment was OK, live music 2 nights and a quiz another night. Room very clean and spacious with balcony. Breakfast was excellent, the restaurant Manager brought us a pot of English Breakfadt tea, piping hot as it was luke warm from hot water dispenser. Evening meal I felt food was not piping hot but edible. Staff in dining room very attentive. Spa was small but free for guests for an hour to be booked. Steam Room OK. Dry steam room needed a euthalyptic or lemon infusion. Salt room a waste of time as you would need to be in there longer than an hour to benefit. Hot tub fabulous with lovely views. Booked body massage and these were very good. Reception very helpful. Lovely lady working the bar on an evening. Hotel grounds in a green area which was pleasant to walk round, but walking round the bay 500 yards to Petrcane was a highlight. Beautiful scenery and a couple of small bars and restaurants in the bay. My daughter participated in kayaking for a small charge, and we played golf and mini golf. As we were there October we were not charged for sun beds on beach.Got a bus journey just outside hotel to Zadar for 19 kuna each way ( £2), and had a lovely day round old town Zadar. All in all a fabulous 4 day holiday. Only slight moan would be the 10am checkout and 3pm check in. Our flight home was 9.30pm, so was a long day.

While at the hotel we spoke with the manger regarding our issues. I also emailed him on our return and on August 11th he responded promising a reply. As September ended and there had not been a reply I posted a review that was particularly aimed at disabled travelers. Since then the GM has been in touch and he says that there have been some changes at the hotel. This review has been edited to reflect that conversation. My son had booked this trip for us as a surprise and he had gone to good deal of trouble to check with the hotel that it was suitable for a wheelchair user. Disabled users: The hotel appears to be very suitable according to its website. This is not the case. Not all wheelchairs will fit in the lift to the designated accessible rooms, ours was a tight squeeze that required partial folding. Both pools have a ramp to get a wheelchair into the water. The hotel website refers to an "aquachair," however most of the staff were unaware of it and it was found in a side room with junk on it. It is very low, and no one knew how to adjust or adapt it. The indoor pool however can only be reached via a spiral staircase. The outdoor pool area is reached via a step. After a day I found a folded wheelchair lift obscured by tables and signs next to the step. Reception had been unaware of it. When I returned to say I had seen a lift and ask if it could be used I was told that it did not work. Eventually another staff member told me that it did. By this time it was the evening of our first full day in the hotel and we had not been able to use the pool. On the second day we were able to use the outdoor pool, by immersing our wheelchair. Clearly the wheelchair lift was not used much, and tables and clutter had to be moved to get access. This was sufficiently limited to cause damage to our wheelchair, bending a front wheel which made it unstable. As its user is reliant upon it, we had an anxious few days and journey home, hoping it would not collapse under her. The manager has assured me that since our visit the hotel has had some independent disabiltity advice, and that there has been some staff training. Of course he cannot make the lift wider, so please check that any mobility aids you use will fit. F&B: The buffet breakfast is very good. The evening buffet less so, with a tendency to not replenish items later on. It is risky to go to eat less than 45 minutes before the end of service. The evening deserts were particularly unappealing with knowing diners swooping on the trays of melon that sometimes appeared as an alternative. We ate at the a la carte restaurant Kantun once. The food was served after a very long wait with all courses arriving together, some of it very good, but one item inedible as massively over salted. The server explained the inedible item could not be removed from the bill unless he paid for it. We were told the same in the buffet one evening when we were given the wrong drinks. The manger was genuinely upset that we had encountered difficulties during our stay, and as a goodwill gesture, on the last night which was our anniversary, we were offered a complimentary meal in the waterside restaurant. The table was beautifully set with flowers and the location is superb. Having ordered a starter and main, only the mains were ever served. They were attractive but either tasteless or oversalted, although we did enjoy a magnificent view of the sunset, and appreciated the good intentions of the management. Summary: If you are able bodied and stick to the buffet, well worth considering. The location is very attractive and the facilites good. There could be difficulties if you have special needs or would like to eat a la carte. The GM appears to mean well, as do some of the reception staff who definitely "get it", but there were a couple perhaps not best suited to hospitality. Training appeared to be incomplete if the lack of knowledge about all aspects of disability access at the hotel, was typical. If this has improved, as the GM says, that would be very welcome. One last tip; The minibar was empty and switched off when we arrived late at night. The receptionist advised that nothing to drink or any food was available till breakfast, so take a bottle if you expect to arrive late.

This Hotel is a 3 Star hotel - could do with improving in a few areas of the hotel. The photos on the internet do the hotel wonders as certain areas didn’t look like they did on the Internet. The staff in certain areas of the hotel could do with more training.

We loved this hotel; it was the best of our coach tour. We felt it deserved a luxury tag. There was no faulting the room or restaurant. The room was huge and very modern. We had a problem with a sticky balcony door but that was quickly and effectively dealt with. The buffet restaurant was huge and luckily not particularly crowded, although busy. The female singer was not up to much. We would love to come here again but just to relax for a few days, not as part of a tour.

Only stayed one night as part of a tour - wish it could have been longer as not time to use all the amenities (outdoor pool shuts at 7 but looked lovely). Room was spotless, very comfortable. Lovely dining area - inside and out on the terrace where we ate and watched the sunset. Excellent buffet food for dinner and breakfast - loads of choice. Good entertainment on the night we were there.

Hotel was lovely and Petrcane was absolutely stunning. Sea was clear blue and warm. Beautiful was stunning.Pictyres don't do it justice. Staff at the hotel were very attentive, Emir on the bar was really friendly and the restaurant staff were very helpful. Only thing to remember is that the little restaurants on the front stop serving food between 9-9.30pm so if you want to eat a little later you need to go to Zadar which in itself is a stunning place to visit especially Old Town and the light up floor to watch the mist beautiful sunset. Buses are really cheap and easy to catch but taxis are a little more expensive then expected. On the whole though a wonderful place to visit. Would definitely visit again.
