Unfortunately, this place is far from a 5* experience. The staff is generally friendly, and most of them are trying their best, but so much is just wrong here. First of all - this place brags about "fine dining" but it only offered a fixed menu with a choice between 2 starters and 3 main courses. The hotel homepage brags about "fine dining", but only mentions in print that restaurants are "open seasonally" - what does it even mean? When is "season"? Sorry, a 5* place should have better culinary offer, especially when it lure its guests by "fine dining" choices. There was no choice here. Then the room. How can there be no power outlets in the room? Yes, there is one outlet on the floor, right next to the door, and yes, there are two outlets at the wash basin. But nothing next to bed where I could for example want to both charge and use my phone. I couldn't use my laptop at the desk, because I had no place to plug it in. This is 2024, people are travelling with two, three devices a person. The bathtub is right next to the bed. You can't see half the TV screen while in the bed (because it's positioned on a very low cabinet, with a couch in between the bed and the TV). The TV is a modern smart TV, but the hotel disabled Netflix on it (and this TV does support it - only when you try to access it, it say that it's disabled). The WiFi is either too slow, or not working at all, there are places in the hotel where it is just not accessible. There are no body-sized towels - the only towels we had in our room were hand/face towels. How can a 5* hotel do all this? The restaurant provides no privacy. The tables are positioned so close to one another, that if you are a couple, you are sitting right next to another couple almost as if it was a table for 4. You can't even have a decent private chat without feeling like everybody can hear you. Funny enough - they could arrange the tables to give you more privacy, they just choose not to. On our second morning, the restaurant was full at breakfast, we thought we were lucky to find a free table (with 0 privacy, mind you!), but when another couple arrived, they opened up another section of the restaurant which was completely readied, just intentionally not made available until the very last moment. Come on! I would expect this from a cheap diner, not the only restaurant in a 5* hotel! If you have an electric car, please avoid this place. They have a grand total of 3 chargers - one of which doesn't work. One charger was constantly occupied by a car that never moved during our entire stay! The night before the departure we ask the valet to charge our car, and he promises to do that, but when I wake up at 6AM I see that my car isn't charged at all and that there is a charging error. I walk down to reception, and receptionist tells me that "we have problems with that charger" - well, I asked for my car to be charged, not plugged in! I have no use for my car being plugged into a charger that the hotel knows is faulty! Thankfully there is a third charger (away in the garage, but apparently it was too far for the valet of the previous night to walk back from, so he simply plugged it into a faulty charger rather than walking to a working one which would require him to spend 2 minutes on foot). And last - they misrepresent their prices. We booked 2-hour "couple massage" at their Aquapura Spa, by following links from their "welcome" e-mail. This was listed as "couple" treatment, and was listed at 180€. They charged us twice the price, and they said that this was price per person. I showed them that it was a "couple massage" and I showed it to the receptionist by following the whole booking process, step by step, from the welcome mail all the way to confirmation, and it was nowhere mentioned that the price was per person. This was the last time I stayed at a Falkensteiner. There are many better places to spend my time (and money) at.

We were in this hotel few times before and it was excellent. Now is a little bit dated, it need refurbishment. Food is also not so good any more. We were a little bit disappointed. The only positive thing is outside swimming pool that is working also in November.

For our family, this was the best hotel in the Mediterranean. We really liked the room. But we liked the area, the beach, the SPA and the delicious food and good Croatian wines even more! P.S. We have something to compare with. Mallorca, Sardinia, Ibiza and others

I could kick myself. We only allowed one day here on our way north. The facility is amazing for just relaxing or participating in a myriad programs. The three saunas are amazing as are the multiple pools. Staff is very good particularly Slavko who met us at the door and guided us to our room taking care of our luggage in a cheerful efficient manner. Later that evening he arranged for a cart to take my wife to and from the restaurant. He made us immediately feel comfortable.

Fabulous hotel in an amazing setting. The food and drink were excellent. The service was great and the facilities were fabulous. A real hidden gem. The location on the headland is spectacular and the sea all around is such an amazing colour. Lots of places to swim and jump off the rocks. Several swimming pools as well around the hotel and we never struggled to get a sunbed. The buffet was good and there were themed nights a few times a week. Service was good and the staff were all very helpful.

Fabulous facilities and restautrants. Nice big pools and right on its own private beach. When we first arrived it looks a bit of a concrete jungle as its a vast plot with several different hotels within the complex. But our hotel (the adult only) was lovely. Don't be put off by the first impression as it is really lovely. Only bad experience was the cab driver from Zadar airport who doubled his quote once we arrived at the hotel. He was a complete conman and tried to intimidate us. Just beware if getting a taxi from the rank at the airport. we did as thought it would be trustworthy and came unstuck. Shame as we go to Croatia a lot and this is the only place we have ever encountered such rude and shameful behaviour.

Ok so first question: Would I stay here again, well yes. The staff were extremely pleasant from reception to restaurant and bars and the amenities justify its rating but there are a few little things that let it down. Firstly we had a deluxe sea room which was very nice but we had to empty the coffee machine of waste and old water before we could use it. On the second day we had to wash our cups and glasses as they weren’t changed the previous day. On our last morning they knocked to ask if we wanted more coffee, but a little late for that now. Not so bad but those touches are necessary for a 5 star service. Secondly the main pool looked stunning but look behind the surface and you see the dirt on the tiles and foliage on the bottom from the garden. Lesser hotels we have visited have pools cleaned every day to avoid such dirt. Food was very good from breakfast to dinner and again service was great with very helpful and attentive staff. So a few things to sharpen up on to justify a 5 star resort.

Got stuck here once again thanks to my company dispatch. Out in the middle of nowhere. No food choices. $65 mediocre buffet at night, breakfast is included and good 25 euro taxi into town, 45 minute wait for taxi Ridiculous room. I am sitting on a stupid little wooden chair to write this review. I bought my own hot water kettle in town to make tea and coffee, none provided. No store to buy any sodas or chips or amenities you may want for your stay. I walked a half a mile and jumped a fence to the only mini market around. Horrible gym. Garage quality machines and free weights in a small corner so it is one person at a time to work out. Spa is stupid, kiddie pool indoors and no hot tub or jacuzzi for general use. Wifi is absolutely the worst. you have to stand near your room door sometimes to get any kind of a signal. No ice machines on the floors, you have to call room service and ask for a bucket.

Stayed here as part of a group - the hotel facilities are nice. The hotel seems pricey compared to many in Croatia. If you have a sea view room the rooms are great and if you dont, you are literally looking at the back of buildings. The rooms are ok, but the decor could have been nicer - its not old but just odd materials and colours Breakfast was great and food in general was good

Very nice hotel by the coast with very friendly and helpful staff. The room was very comfortable and is perfect for a romantic getaway. The range of bathroom amenities could stand for improvement, but otherwise a very comfortable room. The resorts facilities are incredible, especially the variety of swimming pools available that help spread the guests around so no area really feels crowded.
