I was quite frankly terrified after reading some of the reviews on here. My kid's idea of a holiday is Mediterranean sunshine but I wanted to share my memory of great British holidays. Hired a caravan for £400 for the week , it was clean and comfortable. The staff were all fantastic, obviously short staffed but they were all cheerful... More

We have just come back from a week here, it was great. The chalet we were in was basic but lovely and clean. The entertainment was brilliant at night, we weren't around in the day but they had lots of entertainment in the day too. The indoor swimming pool was great as well just what you need on a rainy... First off, what a beautiful part of the country, so many things to do within a 40 minute drive of the holiday park. The holiday park has plenty of things to do with the kids, they have loads on, football training, dance classes, kids entertainment, etc. The little animal farm on site was a pleasant surprise, loads of different animals... We stayed in a chalet for a week myself hubby and our four children, the area was lovely the holiday park needs modernising and paint job place looks a bit tired, the receptionists were lovely and very helpful, the entertainment staff didn't seem to know what they were doing and didn't cope well when one of my children tried to... We have just returned from a week at solway and after reading the reviews I have to say there was some exaggeration 😉 My hubby and I spent a week here with our 4 children camping...After misplacing our power lead the staff were fabulous and got people looking to borrow me one!site is very secure and very homely as for... This site is really quite "tired" and needs some re-vamping. The pool was small and basic and NO activities for over 12s....apart from the very grubby arcade...dirty sticky place where teens seem to spill food and drinks all over. Entertainment venues past its best and needs a complete refurb Caravan was clean but for a top of range model was... More

I stayed with a friend and four children camping and yes it was at the back of the site. But not a problem short walk to the complex . I found the cleaning of the toilet and showering block very good considering the amount of people using them, and around the site was very clean. And Dave the he his... More

Having visited solway holiday park twice before we had high hopes on our third visit, we decided to camp this time having previously stayed in a chalet. The campsite is spacious with basic facilities, which do of course get muddy at times being a campsite! However if what you envisage is to spend quiet, quality time with your family... August... The photos on here that the management have put on must be from the 1950's because it most certainly does NOT look like that now, upon arriving at the gates you think you have hit the jackpot as the signage looks quite welcoming, once you are in the park it is a different story, run down dirty chalets and caravans...
