I stayed here on a cycling trip with my son and what a pleasure it is to find gems like this tucked away in rural France. Set in a very pretty location, Paul's barn is a first class barn conversion that would rival any five star hotel. It is pristine whilst oozing character and homeliness. Our (English) hosts were very... More

We stayed one night en route to visit Oradour-sur-Glane. Paul and Sue couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful. Our room was super comfortable, and the barn is in an incredibly peaceful location ensuring a really good nights sleep. We also took advantage of the offer of supper, and spent a convivial evening chatting with our hosts, over three courses... More

A beautifully restored stone barn makes for a modern, updated piece of history. Paul and Sue could not have been nicer, offering us food and beverage upon arrival and even offered to have us join them for dinner! Our room was great and had been supplied with water kettle, coffee, cream, sugar, tea, cookies, and chocolate on our pillows! Fluffy... More

I was fortunate to stay at Paul's Barn during my journey back to UK from Spain. As I wanted to visit the French Village of Oradour Sur Glane (a shirt drive away from Paul's Barn), it was a strategic stopover location. The Barn it self has been lovingly converted into a beautiful & unique home. It is very clean, tasteful,... More

Wow what an amazing find! We had a lovely stay at Paul's Barn. The barn has had an incredible conversion. It is set within a stunning rural location. Paul and Sue's attention to detail to make our stay special is really exceptional. From the clean and beautifully decorated rooms and bathroom, glass of wine to the fantastic breakfast! Thank you!... We have just returned from 5 days in France, where we stayed at Paul's Barn. The renovation of the barn is an inspiration for what can be done when it is properly managed. Clean, comfortable. Breakfast was generous and tasty. Although a rural location, it was close enough to everything we needed from provision shops in Nantiat, to the two... More

My wife and I chose this chambre d'hote via TripAdvisor whilst looking for somewhere to stay overnight on a trip to Limoges and Oradour. Suffice it to say the previous comments sum up our experience as well. The barn is amazing, the room we had was clean and comfortable, the location is very quiet, dinner was very well cooked by... My husband and I met up with my brother and sister plus their spouses to spend a few nights together in Paul's Barn. The barn was set up perfectly for our visit. Paul and Nathalie welcomed us into their home located out in the country in this quiet part of France. We chose this location because of it's proximity to... More

I read the comments of previous visitors, and I can't improve on what they say !! The conversion itself is magnificent, the welcome was warm and genuine, and I felt at home as soon as I walked through the doors. Paul and Natalie have a new tourist attraction, a kitten born on the same day as Prince George, and named... More

Stayed in the gite, August 2013, family of four. Great reception from Paul and Natalie (and Lilou!), welcoming and helpful hosts, with extensive knowledge in relation to local and extended area. Very clean and well appointed rooms, personal touches evident throughout. Feels homely and gives the visitor a taste of real France. The Limousin area / local people as a... More
