We came here 2019 and had such a great time. Great golf, great room & service. There was no vegetarian option anywhere on the menu but the restaurant were accommodating but with discussion. On our recent visit, I did expect 3 years on, things might have changed however disappointingly not! I must say my wife did feel somewhat marginalised once again, in discussion rather than a straight menu choice. At some point hopefully the Chef will appreciate the international trends and accommodate this. We enjoy the resort enough to give another try but will emphasise this on booking and would welcome a difference.!
I booked the Relais for my husband's 50 birthday, as I wanted to surprise him with a long weekend at a golf resort. I contacted the chateau directly, as I had some questions I wanted answers to, and I received a response within an hour. The staff have been absolutely incredible, so quick to answer all my queries, always ready to help with everything, even arranging surprise balloons, chocolate, champagne and booking us in for a meal in both their restaurants, which were also on another level. Check-in was quick and easy, our room was on the first floor with stunning views over the golf course, super comfy bed, spotlessly clean, with lovely decor and lots of space. The breakfast had something for everyone, a wide variety, delicious. Overall, there's not a single negative about the entire place, their food, facilities, the stunning grounds and the staff. I can't recommend this place enough and we're already planning our next trip back.…
Such a pleasure to return to Vigiers. I think it’s better than ever. The housekeeping was exceptionally good. The breakfast is excellent and the food in the bistro was superb. The staff were wonderfully efficient and fun. All just a delight.
We stayed in the "Relais" which is slightly away from eth main house, but had wonderful views over the golf course. The rooms were very spacious with plenty of space for golf kit etc. Very poor mobile phone reception though
Absolutely beautiful location, very friendly and attentive staff. Fantastic value for money. Spa and indoor swimming pool fantastic. I would highly recommend this hotel to everyone. Quiet and peaceful with stunning views over the 27 hole golf course. Will be back again next year. What a gem.
Stayed in the chateau. Beautiful room and view. Staff excellent and most helpful Golf course in excellent condition especially the greens Dinners very good especially in Chateau which was exceptional Will return next year
It was our first time stay at the hotel and we were very impressed with the rooms, hotel amenities, food at the Bistro and staff. Loved the location. Fully enjoyed our stay. We would definitely go back
The second day we had dinner in the bistrot, with many other guests. The noise created by all visitors made it at times hard to hear each other due to the nature of the construction of the building. Please consider to apply a solution to absorb the noise
We have been visiting CdV every year since 2008 (except last year). If it was not good we would not return so regularly. The staff are excellent and the facilities make for very enjoyable holiday. The golf was very enjoyable as usual and the course was well maintained and in good condition. The room in the Relais was spacious and well appointed, and the breakfast room was convenient. It is a good centre for visiting vineyards and historic centres such as Sarlat, Domme, Bordeaux and Duras
Our stay at Vigiers was delightful. The golf was fun and enjoyable - courses are in good condition with interesting layouts and picturesque holes. The Bistro restaurant was excellent. Michelin * restaurant was fully booked so we were not able to experience it. Still, the Bistro was not disappointed. The oudoor patio was delightful overlooking the golf course and the château. We will return again - and reserve in advance for star restaurant AND book golf on all 3 Nines! Truly a pleasure.
