Nestled up in the mountains, we reached this old basque farm after a few minutes up a mountainous small country road near a charming village and I must admit my jaw dropped when star lit skies gave way to waking up over the clouds -literally! The hosts were very accommodating, despite the fact that we arrived late. They clearly care...

We stayed here for 5 nights during an extended visit to Southwestern France. This Chambre D'Hotes in a traditional Basque home is well off the beaten path, but centrally located for day trips into the surrounding region. Sandrine is an excellent hostess who speaks very good English, rare in this area of Basque France. We had very nice breakfast companions...

We really appreciated our 4 days stay in this very nice and cosy Basque guest house. Sandrine and her husband have been very warm and welcoming. Our room was beautifully decorated with photos of their trips around the world and we had a splendid view of the mountains. The breakfast is homemade and the bread, prepared every day by Sandrine...

Highly recommend this B&B. After a tough hiking day on GR10, we had a great stay at this beautiful inn. Our room was spacious and tastefully decorated. Sandrine and Paulo are the best hosts. Sandrine offered to pick us up from St Etienne de Baigorry and Paulo sent us to a mountain pass when he learned that we prefer to...

Idiartekoborda is situated off the beaten path, on high ground, with a lovely view around. An excellent place to stay in, to get away from the hustle and bustle. The room my wife and I stayed in was tastefully decorated, quaint and warm. The room and the attached bathroom were clean and spacious. Sandrine was a lovely host, always engaging...

The 5-minute drive up the mountainside from St Etienne de Baigorry to Idiartekoborda certainly feels a bit hairy the first time. At one point the single-track road looks like it is just going to fall away into the abyss. It is worth it though. This is a genuinely spectacular place, perched on the side of the Aldudes valley, and offering...
