We have just stayed in one of the 'honeymoon' lodges and can't fault the location; it was wonderful to watch the waves. However, the lodge itself left a lot to be desired; just one bar of soap, no shampoo, no hairdryer, in other words very basic. Also, our TV didn't work properly which we reported but it was never fixed,...

Love love love the Storms River Mouth Rest Camp, it is easily one of the most beautiful spots along the Garden Route but make sure you get there early as a day visitor, parking is very limited and the rest camp very popular with European coach tours.

We discovered this place by chance few years back and now this is our regular place to go away from city hustle bustle and rejuvenate. Very Nice place, if you choose well in advance and book in chalet close to ocean its best holiday you can ask for at our door step. Its nice to see ocean waves breaking on...

I booked a chalet and an oceanette to accomodate my family of 7. I paid much more for the occeanette and could not believe the stark difference in the the two types of accomodation. We could not access the oceanette easily with a normal vehicle because of the bumps and the incline of the road. The bathroom window of the...

We were booked for two nights in an oceannette on the lowest level. It is the most basic of self catering units on the premisies. They provide one bar of soap, two towels and a roll of toilet paper. That's pretty much it. Clean sheets too. No shampoo, hair dryer or anything else you come to expect in a hotel...

Our lodge had beautiful views overlooking the sea, where you could just sit outside with a glass of wine and watch the waves crashing in forever. The local walks are all very good, and it's particularly worth trekking over the rocks to see the waterfall. The "honeymoon" lodge we had was spacious and clean, with a comfy bed and a...

We have recently returned from a trip to South Africa where we spent one night at the Storms River Mouth Restcamp. We last visited this spot on our honeymoon 11 years ago. We were very impressed by how clean the accommodation was and how well equipped it was. As other reviewers have said, the view cannot be beaten. The sunset...

3 star lodge with 5 star views. We stayed in a log cabin (family cottage) along the beach. One of the most beautiful and pristine areas in South Africa, Difficult to get accommodation in this camp over peak times. The cabin had 2 rooms with 4 beds. it was comfortable and had a smaller than average bathroom. As with most...

The park is closest one can get to paradise. We made our reservations from Australia. The lady who have taken our reservation told us the amount paid includes a Conservation Levy. We have received a booking confirmation as such. On arrival we were told we have to pay R2100 levy. When we disputed this, we were told that they do...

I had fantastic support from the staff when my family got separated on a hike. The ranger and his staff was very helpful and supportive. Beautiful place to visit. The bathrooms for the camping is spotless and the water always hot.
