We enjoyed our stay here very much.Thank you Nora and your smiling helpful staff for making us us welcome and comfortable. It is easy to explore this beautiful area from here after enjoying a good buffet breakfast. We will certainly return if we are lucky enough to visit South Africa again.

The guest house is perfectly located to discover the Tsitsikamma NP. With the garden and swimmingpool we could uave stayed longer than the 2 nights. The host was very friendly and helpful. Near the location are several restaurants.

Functional guest house decent clean rooms and shower. Good breakfast starting at 0700. Not the guest houses fault but a choice of 3 restaurants in storms river none of which are very exciting. A bit hard to get local information from the owner, it's a busy house and apart from the brochures at the front desk there wasn't anyone to...

The owner of this property is extremely nice and helpful! The property itself is very nice. It has a nice pool, a big (free) breakfast and the rooms are very spacious and comfortable. It is near everything in this town. This town is VERY small. It only has about 5 restaurants but if you are staying in Storms River stay...

The guest house is very well located, and close to all the many activities in the area. We did however feel that the guest lodge should have 3 stars rather than 4, as it is not luxury accommodation in any way. We did enjoy our stay here, but the rooms are basic and clean, and very outdated. The breakfasts were...

Dear Julie, Thank you for taking the time to review our guest house. We are in fact a 3 star guest house and advertised as such. All our rooms have a garden view and 1 has a mountain view. All of this, including the decor is displayed on our website. A guest house (unlike a hotel) is an extension of...

One night stop on our way from the Birds of Eden eastwards to Addo Elephant Park to do some tree swinging. Good reception, breakfast with delicious scrambled eggs, climat control in the spacious rooms, swimming pool. Helpful staff.

The guest house is most conveniently located just off the highway. We were warmly welcomed upon arrival and introduced to all the facilities. Check-in and check-out processes were extremely smooth and easy. The family rooms are considerately arranged on one end of the building with much privacy and less worrying about disturbing other guests. The rooms are spacious, and the...

Helpfull and kind owner and staff. Somewhat dark and kitsch rooms. Otherwise very comfortable. One morning there seemed to be a water shortage, but this was fixed in the afternoon. Very nice and safe little village to walk about. Great choice on the breakfast buffet.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Storms River Guest Lodge is located in the peaceful village of Storms River, in the heart of the Tsitsikamma, which forms part of the Garden Route. Tsitsikamma is a Khoi/Nama word meaning 'place of abundant water.' The region is bordered at the north by the Tsitsikamma Mountains and in the south by the Indian Ocean. The village is surrounded by natural occurring indigenous forest, Fynbos and commercial plantations. This charming lodge is a Bed and Breakfast (which is suitable for small and large groups), consisting of a double story building with 14 spacious, en-suite rooms. The top story has a large veranda that offers panoramic views of the Storms River Mountain Peak and the tranquil lodge gardens. Other facilities include a private swimming pool that the whole family can enjoy. In addition, the lodge is in close proximity to a variety of exciting activities that cater to both the adventurous, and those looking to put their feet up for a relaxing break. The area also hosts a number of meandering hiking trails, the Tree Top Canopy Tours; Black Water Tubing; mountain biking; segways and horse riding. The area also boasts the highest commercial bungee jump at Bloukrans Bridge. The Storms River Mouth - with its spectacular shoreline - is the start of the famous Otter Hiking Trail and is situated in the Tsitsikamma National Park and is a mere 10 kilometres away. For a more relaxing experience, there is the Tsitsikamma Mountain Spa where you will be pampered. With such an abundance of natural beauty, it is hard to resist the allure of this magical place. What better place to settle in for the night, after an exhilarating day outdoors, than the Storms River Guest Lodge? Indulge in cool breezes and the sound of chirping crickets on the veranda in summer or cosy up to an intimate log fire in winter with a decadent mug of hot chocolate (or even an indulgent glass of red wine!). The lodge offers a little slice of heaven to everyone, and even the weariest of travellers will leave rejuvenated! Should you need any assistance during your stay, the hostess, who is also the owner, will be able to assist you with any needs you might have, and even help you to plan your activities. ... more   less
