The staff at WoodHall are amazing no matter what time of night or day you arrive there was always a friendly warm welcome, they are attentive, friendly & very professional. They make you feel welcome the minute they meet you. We had our Wedding weekend at WoodHall, our wedding co-coordinator was Elizabeth Mainwairing, who was brilliant from start to funish....

The hotel is in a very pretty Yorkshire dale setting and looks very grand from the outside. Our room was large and very comfortable, with tea/coffee provided albeit a hunt for extra milk. To attend a wedding on Saturday, we booked 2 nights from Friday as it was a 300m trip. Room was charged at full price for Friday and...

A beautiful hotel and room. Delicious food. However, I think guests should be informed when booking if there is a wedding taking place during the dates selected. I love weddings but felt a bit in the way. We had to squeeze past the bride when we arrived and this was also the case when heading to the bar in the...

A very nice hotel in a picturesque location. However, be aware that your reservation will most likely be incorrect as the reservations and receptions staff seem to be on a different wavelength. Check your bill ! Ours was wrong by £400 too much and we were aware of two other guests with the same issue.

I can't speak for the spa as we didn't stay to use it but it is a lovely spot for a wedding and the breakfast and evening meal were great. My only negatives for improvement were: - the bar couldn't take card so had to run to reception naturally tempting you to open a room tab - drinks and also...

Good standard of accommodation and level of service by friendly and pleasant staff. Lovely surroundings in a beautiful quiet valley but close to amenities. Food is of a high standard and well served. Spa facilities and nightly turn down service is a bonus. Very relaxing venue for a short break.

Overall had a great stay, only downside was waiting an age to be seated for dinner and sat there 30 minutes without a drink. Rooms were great, very clean and spacious. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Spa is pretty small compared to other hotels we've stayed in but was ok to spend a hour in the afternoon. Overall we...

Overall quite satisfied, Lovely place, this was our second visit and it wasnt quite as enjoyable as our first visit. Staff, food and atmosphere were great, and beautiful room we accessed at one thirty. Fantastic. Breakfast wasn't enjoyable, very busy, understaffed and seem just like general chaos. Had to ask for juice, crockery and repleshiment of other breakfast items, which...

Lovely location and facility. The staff are friendly and attentive, really professional nad approachable, they could not do more to ensure a nice stay. Food is exceptional quality, with innovation and well presented - difficult to match.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Originally built as a country escape for the Scott family, Wood Hall Hotel & Spa in Wetherby remains a tranquil country house hotel where today's pressures seem an age away. Ever since the house was completed around 1790, it has been a place of peace and relaxation. Fittingly, it currently stands next door to a Carmelite monastery, home to a order of nuns. However Wood Hall Hotel is not simply about quiet contemplation: the hotel offers 44 bedrooms, a 2 AA Rosette restaurant and a small health club and spa. Inspire your delegates with our training and meeting facilities, take over the house for your dream wedding or celebrate a special occasion in one of our private dining rooms. ... more   less
