Great stay at Wood Hall Spa , lovely warm welcome with a glass of prosecco in the cosy lounge . Good sized room with everything we needed . Excellent breakfast nice touch when leaving given a bag with water and snacks for journey home. Situated in a scenic spot great nights sleep never heard a thing. Would not hesitate to recommend.

Booked for two nights, for myself, my mum and her friend. It was my mums 90th Birthday treat, and what a treat it was. Upon driving upto the hotel, set in the most beautiful of grounds, lovely big car park, impressive building. We were warmly greeted by Julie and her team, immediately took our bags upto our rooms as we were shown into the lounge and given a complimentary glass of Prosecco, beautiful ! Lounge with roaring fire was so comfortable after a long drive North. We were then shown to our rooms which I thought was a lovely touch, room 40 for mum and myself, room 43 for mum's friend. Room 40 was a very large twin, with a huge bay window, looking out on the grounds, room was spotlessly clean, with tea/coffee and fresh, yes FRESH milk (don't get that often in hotels nowadays). Bathroom was large, clean and functional. Bed was very comfortable. Breakfast next morning was delicious, cooked fresh with local produce, hot and plentiful with as much tea, coffee and toast as you could eat. We had dinner in the hotel Saturday night, which again was absolutely delicious (compliments to the chef for this), the hotel also brought out a cake beautifully iced with Happy 90th Birthday, a lovely lovely touch, my mum was so surprised and very grateful. Check out yesterday was super smooth, we were given a leaving bag full of water, chocolate and apple, such a beautiful gesture for a long drive home. I have to state every single member of staff we came into contact with, was so friendly, welcoming and genuinely warm, this along with the building is this hotel's biggest asset. I have to say a massive thank you to Julie and I hope she gets the praise from her management she fully deserves, went out of her way to assist me. I will definitely be going back to Wood Hall, it's a beautiful, welcoming second home now.…

Booked for afternoon tea, spa day, and a massage for my birthday. Immediately greeted on the door and shown to our table where we sat for afternoon tea where tea, water, and Prosecco was offered. We had a wide selection of sandwiches followed by some cakes and scones which were all delicious. Our cups were kept topped up and the service was luxurious. We were then shown to the spa where we filled a few forms in and were shown to the changing rooms. We had lockers ready with a gown, towels and sliders at hand. We spent the afternoon in the pool, sauna, and jacuzzi until we were called for our massages. Me and my partner were massaged at the same time in separate rooms. We have both never had a massage treatment before but was calm and welcoming. We had a 1hr massage uninterrupted which was exactly what we needed to finish off our relaxing afternoon.…

stayed for just 1 x night at one of our off site work meetings. hotel is set in beautiful grounds and in itself is impressive. i was given one of the named and not numbered rooms - not sure it makes a difference and the room was fabulous, big bed, huge bathroom with quality fittings throughout. i had no issues with the room at all. The food we had, i didnt have breakfast, was really nice. One point to mention every single one of the staff i came across was lovely, very personably and could not do enough for you. a very pleasant stay and is highly recommended. ps watching the local kestrels etc is a must.

We had previously stayed in another hotel at the handpicked chain which did not live up to its reputation and therefore we visited Wood Hall Hotel with a little apprehension, the moment we arrived at the hotel we were blown away. Beautiful hotel beautiful surroundings everything just has the wow factor. We were greeted at reception with a warm welcome the staff were attentive and our room was out of this world! The swimming pool and jacuzzi area was clean and modern. There is a lovely bar that serves wonderful cocktails and even when asked about the history of the hotel all the staff knew plenty and were very interesting to talk to. We had afternoon tea and breakfast there and the food was amazing you really couldn't fault anything. I really enjoyed staying at Wood Hall hotel and would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for the perfect place for a weekend away. The staff can not do enough for you and i hope management read this and thank the staff for all their efforts. I will be returning :)…

We love this hotel. It is in a beautiful location and is perfect for an overnight getaway. We have stayed here a few times. The rooms are lovely and beds are comfy. The pool and steam room in the spa are a great place to relax. Staff are amazing and always happy to help. Food is excellent, we ate dinner and breakfast. We enjoyed the little extras that they gave us; complementary Prosecco on arrival and a little packed snack bag to take with us when we left. We are already planning out next visit!

We stayed here one weekend as part of wedding we attended. The hotel is in a lovely setting and feels amazing when you walk in. We were able to checking into our room as soon as we got there which was great and the wedding itself was amazing. Food was lovely, room was fantastic - it was really nice. We had a couple of issues with our stay here and had we not being part of a wedding party we would've spoke to members of staff about them. 1. There was no beer in the bar. We were told by the bar staff that the beer had ran out as they had ran out of gas and had no intention of replenishing this for the wedding. I know several people complained about this to the staff and after a few hours, we saw a car pull up with staff inside carrying a gas bottle for the beer. This should've been done immediately when the previous gas bottle had ran out. 2. If we had just been at the hotel for the weekend as general guests then we would've asked to move room as it wasn't clean. There was a sticky substance over our carpet in several places. Black mould over the tiles in the shower. The saucer was dirty in the cupboard for the tea and coffees. The net curtain had dirt on and the actual window itself was filthy. The wedding was amazing and the venue itself was lovely - although very expensive for drinks (£42 for a bottle of house wine). We wouldn't stay again due to the uncleanliness of the room and we wouldn't recommend to stay here either. …

Held my daughters wedding here 10th August and it was the most amazing experience. The hotel is fantastic and set in beautiful grounds with amazing scenery. The staff were all lovely and very friendly and helpful. The canapés were delicious and the wedding breakfast was faultless. All of our wedding guests said how amazing everything was and everyone really enjoyed themselves. Would definitely recommend for a wedding venue. Big thank you to the hotel for our amazing day xx

We used Woodhall spa as a venue for the "groomsparty" the day/night before our wedding and we were blown away by the hospitality of the venue and the staff who were polite and friendly. We felt incredibly welcome, the service and food was excellent, and the rooms and setting in the countryside were to die for. Jess from the events team in particular was fabulous, and made life incredibly easy running up to the event and would absolutely recommend the venue to anybody running an event. (Thank you!) I'd feel very lucky to return in future for a weekend away or spa trip! 5*
