we stayed at a bungalow which was very big and clean. the garden is well maintained and u will enjoy an relaxing atmosphere. the staff was very polite and helpful. nice swimming pool with many sun beds and shades. the breakfast was a set menu but they will allow u to order more if u like. the breakfast served at the restaurant with amazing view of koh phangan. we also had dinner at the hotel resturant the food was o.k but like all others resturants in this area it was very pricey. over all great place to stay right on the middle of the fisherman village main street. we will definitely ome back.
Just returned from here and can certainly say staff, accommodation, buffet breakfast and pools were all lovely. Located in Fisherman’s Village which is a great location. I would recommend if you want a holiday in the heart of a tourist spot, it certainly had everything we were looking for.
Very well situated hotel in the middle of Fisherman's village. Hotel is quiet in the middle of the trees, watch out for mosquitos ..there were plenty of them. Rooms are spacious but the furniture seems to be older. We liked this place but the little ants made it little bit not friendly until staff destroyed them. Breakfast were served in restaurant through the road. There was limited variaty of food but everyone could find something. Everyday they offered fresh fruit, omelete. This hotel has nice 2 swimming pools, very nice beach however there is limited amount of sunbeds. What i found distracting that when you meet staff mostly they look like they don't see you, when there was noone staying in the bungalow near us...all of the cleaners were laying on the floor, chairs...really amazing. However it is nice hotel with place to improve.…
Really enjoyed my return to the Smile House after too long an absence. As I booked late I had to settle for a (Standard) bungalow at the back of the complex, shown to me by Bee the concierge, but that didn't affect the exemplary housekeeping service with my room being made up each day and 4 towels being supplied each day. Whilst the beach is literally across the road from this hotel, the 15 metre pool is a major draw for me, with some very pleasant guests, incl. families, mainly from Europe, also taking advantage of the clean and spacious pool. The buffet breakfast overlooking the sea was excellent, and this restaurant offers all-day service, and dinner where my one of my favourite Thai dishes, Chicken Pad Khing, was on offer. All of the staff are exemplary at this resort, and in the restaurant, Tookta and Fang were particularly helpful & charming. Fisherman's Village has added a few upscale bar/restarants and also a few spas in recent years. As I was on a budget, these bars added less for me and I drank in a Thai-only bar on the fist parallel road quite often. The neighbouring Hansar hotel also has three Happy Hours, two in the evening. For massages, the first one on the left, almost next to the restaurant, offers a good beachfront & friendly service. If you're after sightly smarter facilities, I recommend the Sukara spa over the other other new spas nearer to the hotel. I love this hotel and I would like to thank Tik in reception, and the owner, for accomodating my wishes during my stay. I would also strongly recommend Shahda Yoga, operating out of the Elysia resort, where Era runs a highly profficient 90-minute class from 7:30 am. 2,000 THB for 5 sessions.…
We weren’t sure what to expect as we booked last minute but these apartments are lovely. They are like little Swiss bungalows set in lush gardens. Very spacious bedrooms - all linen changed daily! Rooms are a little dark but perfect location for the beach and reasonably priced! Remember your mosquito spray!!
